Apart from that it had the best graphics and was a stepway to CoP. However when I booted up CoP for the first time and maxed all the settings for dx 11, the game looked horrible and the HUD was absurdly bad. Those icons were bigger than the gun and the FOV of 55 in an FPS game... At least Clear Sky was playable.

The reason there's so many rads at the peaks of those garbage heaps is because in real life that's where they buried a bunch of radioactive bullshit from the CNPP meltdown. That's what makes up the 'Garbage' - in real life you can't climb those heaps.

He got renamed because you went into Game/gameplay settings, whenever you go into Game/Gameplay settings and confirm its going to change your name to whatever is typed in under Player Name
Grab Shadow of Chernobyl (and use Zone Reclamation Project patch) and Call of Pripyat, ignore Complete mods, they looks nice but they mess the gameplay.

Still great game, just ending... actually all STALKER games had not-that-great endings. ShoC got slugging through corridors filled with almost 1hit kill elite Monolith troops, CS got boss fight and CoP got escaping section with remaining forces. And then you got mods that also suffer from this. Almost. Every. Single. One. Of. Them. Incredible.

Clear Sky and then the CoP was like that in my opinion. They learned their lessons in CS and then implemented the better version onto CoP. What I don't like CoP vanilla is that even the max settings make the game look like literal dirt. I remember in CS that even in the swamps the game looked gorgeous but when I was greeted with CoP opening with that terrible HUD and FOV, oh my god I took myself straight to the modding page. It looked so awful and much worse than CS I was shocked.
playing beta 1.5.0 and for the first 12 hours i had no idea i had fast travel active...but i have it set up as "visited only" so i have to have been to the place first before i can fast travel, ive now played about 50 hours of it, fucking best mod ever, its not even a mod lol, its a full free game, super easy to install (download 4 files, extract to a new folder using winraw, play, easy) 10/10 game
Tarkov would be so much cooler with a big open stalker map. Mutants, bandits and anomalies and chaos storms. And i agree, that's precisly what makes Hunt showdown a let down in a way as well. Yet again, a really good universe with a good game gets turned into a pvp shooter because that's what's cool. Not the interesting engaging world, or the different ways of actually playing the game with game modes. No just shooter pvp. Dude yes, hunt as a 1p/coop experience where you can run around the map and explore and hunt monsters would be ideal for me. They even updated it with single player stuff last time i checked and it was literally just shooting challenges in set locations
The mutants in Stalker either look terrifying or super goofy. There's no in-between. It's weird that things like Snorks and Bloodsuckers are in the same game as Burers and Controllers.
I passionately disagree with his preemptive use of medkits, especially when fighting mutants which either one hit kill him or he doesn’t get hit. It just feels like SUCH a waste with how expensive they are!

Do you know how to edit effects of items in the game files? I can do it for MISERY mod and Dead Air but for some reason my methods don't work on this mod. Using notepad I go into say medkit and change its effects. It won't work. It does for other mods just not this one. Do u have any experience with this ?

Arent the Gnomes kinda big like psuedo giants and they throw rubble at you? I've never played Anomaly, idk. Last I remember from Pripyat that little guy was a controller. Weird that he didn't do his attack on you, maybe the doorway broke his line of sight and triggered the script to reposition so even though he had line of sight he wasn't going to attack until he got to his destination. Who knows how they programmed the AI in this game, I think they had a lot of fun with it, but you definitely got lucky with that fight.

DammitCooper changes the entire gameplay loop to a more free roam game, there are still quest lines, but it’s very roleplay and do-what-you-want styled. Give it a try, it’s incredible

after 30 hours of playing this mod, I can actually say..... fuck boars...... they make you drop your weapon, do 60% damage, make you use 2 bandages, make no sound, and travel in packs of 3 plus most of the time. WTF. They need a rework, or a add on to fix them. Also if you drop you weapon because of damage, you lose 5 to 10% condition on your weapon. BULL SHIT. love the video by the way.
The whole Remington situation was hard to watch, only because he had a shotgun repair kit sitting in his inventory for hours, and he could have repaired the Remington at least 20% with the kit, then it would have cost much less for a technician to fix it up the rest of the way! Oh well, I guess shit happens. There's a lot of stuff in this mod and unless you read the guide in your pda, you will probably miss a ton of very useful things.

Rain water moisturizes the eyes, which boosts your aim tenfold.
