I've been a bit leery of Anomaly in that I've been burned on total conversion STALKER mods before. I played the shit out of STALKER Soup and the Sigerous mod and Misery mod. And each of them have some pretty game breaking problems that you gotta be careful about. is Anomaly really as stable as it looks in tamto's stream?
@@fangorn23 Anomaly is the most stable overhaul and version of Stalker that I have ever played. That is obviously assuming you don’t install a bunch of add-ons that break the game. You may still run into the occasional bug or crash, but this is the X-ray engine we’re talking about. Anomaly does a pretty good job.
@@fangorn23 anomaly is probably hands down the pinnacle stalker experience i’d say. in comparison to misery, i’ve only ever crashed twice in my first play through of anomaly (with an additional modpack installed on top of that), whereas misery i’d crash once a day at best.

There’s a lot of prime S.T.A.L.K.E.R. content delivered by the Red Berry over the years, but Truck Cemetery bit from this one has got to be the peak (starts 4:19:36)
Watching him down ibuprofin, wrap himself with a bandage, and then inject glucose into his arm, all while sprinting up and dodging gunfire from a couple Freedom blokes really is peak STALKER-Tomato gameplay.
Gamma has been fun for me so far, the new crafting/repairing mechanic and having to salvage your own guns and armor makes things more satisfying as you progress the game. Some jank here and there but thats normal for these kinds of games
Haven't played it yet but GAMMA is a modpack for a mod of a mod of a mod that combines the 3 S.T.A.L.K.E.R games and uses a modified version of the 3rd game's engine. Mod

That rookie squad at the bridge lol One hikes up to the bridge to hide while the other two must have had meds to get back up, one then wanders ahead to bait while the other waits in ambush, doesn't see the ecologist until too late and neither do you. That ecologist COULD have been watching the whole F thing and waiting. LMAOOO this game man!
No fucking way. I've been playing Anomaly lately and was hoping our boy would put some time into Stalker again. I just finished the BAROTRAUMA stream, and having this follow up that has to be some level of perfection.
Aaah GAMMA. Good choice. Between this and Escape from Pripyat, Gamma is the more stable one and the most interesting to play. I enjoy EFP more BUT Gamma has some really really good mods. What they use for balance and stealth is THE best I have seen anywhere for STALKER.
Armed zone has its own mod pack from it's dev, it's a bit easier to get guns as that's the focus of that mod but I find the variety really improves gameplay
The ballistic overhaul mod is the exact opposite of what I'd call "balanced". It single handedly ruins the entire modpack. Really fun dumping entire mags of 5.45 into early game bandits at point blank range.
Love it when tomato plays anything related to stalker or games like it. The game and their mods are amazing, hope we get to see more of it in the future.

The Stalker Streams are always funny as hell, glad to see more, which i didn't expect! Also does anyone know if Tomato played or plans on playing "Simulacra 2" ? I just watched his Simulacra VOD here on his Channel and that has to be the funniest Stream i ever watched, def. recommend if you haven't seen it. Tomato can turn a Game like Simulacra that has a lot of Text Messaging & Spooky Detective Work into a 4-6 Hour Improv Comedy Bit
Tomato absolutely has the easier AI realism mod. The amount of times the AI missed their shots was pretty funny since if I even poke my head out from around a corner, I get popped.
When i first watched this, the whole radiation bit put me off from playing because it seemed so bad, but after many played hours, the fact tamto went literally naked in a late game area is extremely funny.
Would it be worth getting into this game I’ve always been interested just unsure of how the game works goal and if it’s worth trying just base game first or something like this mod for first time
Going straight into Anomaly without any prior STALKER experience can be a little overwhelming imo, but it's still doable and totally worth. If you can play the original trilogy first you should do that, but if you only want to buy one of the original games to prep yourself for Anomaly the best bet would be Call of Pripyat as it's the most similar mechanically. Anomaly is literally an entirely free standalone thing at this point though so there's really nothing to lose by giving it a shot.
lear something from this red circular fruit mistakes: dont go around GAMMA without a minimun of rad protection equipment. if he had at least a respirator on his head, he would be 10x less prone to getting so hardly poisoned by it
I wanted to ask if there were any other nice dwellers over here that could explain to me how tomato has the Kar as a starter weapon was wanting to somewhat play side by side but it's not a option for me unless he installed extra things past the gamma modpack

Hearing American English voices coming out of stalkers has got to be the most jarring thing I’ve ever heard.
UNISG and Mercs are western so it makes way more sense than Russian. I prefer using the USEC voices from Tarkov though.
