@@tamas9402 Thats not how it works and thats not true. The ballistic system is deeper than that. Its 33% of the damage that also hits at only 33% of the penetration meaning its lowest penetration value in the game so every shot deals not 33% of its damage but out of that 33% it gets further absorbed by the armor so your logic is flawed which is why he needs that many shots. Unless its an Exosuit everything dies in 1-2 AP shots to the chest or head (usually always 1 although exosuit sometimes says no), depending on the armor. 33% AP means that only 33% of the AP value applies which is incredible low of course, it wont mean that 33% of the 33% dmg get through just that the AP value is reduced to 33% which is lower than your average 9mm round. Example: Bullet Damage 10 AP penetration value 10 Armor absorption 10 HP 10 33% means 3 damage at 3 armor piercing which means that its WAY under the protection the suit provides so your 3 damage gets reduced further by the armor to probably 1-2 that actually goes throuh and hits the HP. Tomato huffing a lot of copium on this one. Shooting buckshot at a bandit wearing decent armor, with a gun that has a damaged barrel, and when he doesn't go down in one shot: "That's a merchant! That's a merchant character!"
I mean to be fair, it was a merchant character, and merchant characters are buffed, and buckshoot is weaker than it should be. Don't know if you have ever been shot by buckshot (I haven't), but from every ballistic test I've seen, even with a 60lbs of body armor on you buckshot is still going to knock you on your ass and probably break a rib or two.
Would really like to know specifically which mods they're using to get this to work as I cannot seem to get GAMMA to cooperate with warfare mode at all.
Shotguns with AP slugs are incredible, unless of course you're using one with a damaged barrel part dealing both 33% damage and 33% penetration, even tho the gun itself has been repaired to 100% condition :P
@@MrCoolfuzzy18 He didn't. Warfare is there by default, its base Gamma. He turned it on though and I dont see whats unstable so far from both his videos that are 10 hours in.
@@PuellaMagiHomuraAkemi Warfare is unstable because grok doesn't use it so gamma doesn't have any patches for it. Theres A life overhaul if thats what you meant toggled off but its still unstable even with the additional patch on it crashed twice for me and one of them was the most violent crashes I've ever seen a game cause. Tomato is literally talking in this video and the previous gamma stream about some one developing a modpack for gamma warfare and he said it was unstable because it was still being frequently patched. I'm guessing his is stable either because of his system or whatever that modpack is.
Didn't really enjoyed that one, he plays half the time with broken weapons like with the shotgun then is surprised that everyone is so tanky. Using a broken barrel like with the shotgun that only deals 33% dmg and penetration of course means that even the best ammo only deals 33% of its damage that further gets lessened by the 33% less penetration as well. Wont help if he repairs the condition to 100% either cause it wont fix the weapon parts, so just if anyone is wondering - no the game isn't unbalanced, he just doesn't know how guns in Gamma work.
The only one who gave him trouble when using the shotgun was the supposed trader, everyone else died in 2/3 shots, assuming he didn't miss, as he does... rather frequently for someone who claims to be a good shot. Edit: Ah, I stand corrected. Was not at the bandit base nonsense yet.
@@twahtskie Its perfectly fine, you just need to know how. If its at least 60% you can get it up to 100% like with any other part, the only difference for barrels is that you need a repair kit to replace it or you just straight away clean the barrel. Some kits can also do this. He should've simply sticked to guns with fine barrels which is really easy cause of the high tier drops in general the way he changed it :)
