I think the way the singer sounds is what adds that 'something extra' that I hear coming from this band. His voice just sounds like it has so many stories to tell.
Every time I’ve seen these dudes their guitarist is always wearing those all white sneakers. I swear he’s had those shoes for over ten years and I love it!
Will you children realize that this is not "generic radio rock," but that it's pretty much purely hardcore/punk-influenced indie rock, for the most part? How is it anything but that? It's great music. Rise is going back to their '90s roots. Keep that in mind. You're welcome.
I like that Rise is signing different sounding bands and going back to 90's roots. Sharks' "No Gods" is one of my favorite records released this year so far.
"If this is all a dream then I beg you to let me sleep, because I've found something worth all I've given up." This song kept me going when i was seperated from my wife. I hope they make it big!
If you found these guys the same way I did, by searching through heavy rise records songs, then just give it about 2 minutes. Once you adjust from the shift in intensity, these guys are actually a really fun listen with something unique going for them. Good sign, Rise.
I love you because you're making a RUclips comment and using the proper form of you're.... something that most people doing said act cannot do. THANK YOU.
I appreciate that they're recognizing more genres of rock instead of just metal/punk/hardcore. Don't get me wrong, those are my favorite genres, but Rise does a good job of supporting bands and getting them known, regardless of genre, and although some bands may not appeal to some people, they appeal to others. That's part of the music industry: accepting that not EVERYONE will like what you create. But overall, Rise has amazing bands and is a great record label: management, music, and so on.
I hate how much people just want to hear breakdowns. Music should be more than just open string chugging, so I'm glad Rise is getting bands like this on their label.
Yea thats the point. I like a lot of bands on rise because most people are shallow minded when it comes to music from this label. Rise doesnt only release hardcore/metalcore type bands they have a lot of good soft rock and pop punk bands also.
so many people seem to be saying either: "aw man, theres no screaming in this song, what happened to rise, its gone shit now", or for songs with screaming: "theres no point to this song, its just a bunch of guys making a load of noise." what many people seem to be missing is that rise does a mixture of both for a reason, which is cause both genres are awesome, so dont diss, what you may not like someone else may, and vice versa, but that dosent matter, just shut up and listen to what you like :P
I fell in love with End Measured Mile, and I think this is going to be a sick Album I don't think all you "fans" are actually listening this is still the same lyrical content and the only main difference between this and their usual stuff is how their drummer plays and they DO have a new bassist on this album who would OBVIOUSLY have a different style.
anyway this is solid, you can guess it sounds a bit "radio friendly" (actually i always thought Transparent Seas and End Measured Mile had a radio friendly vibe to them) but the edge is stil there. great song/band and can't wait to hear the album
Ordered the mega package already. The only thing I don't like is one of the shirts says Boston, Mass and not Hartford, CT. Being from Connecticut and growing up 10 miles from where they did it kinda pisses me off. At the end of the day I'll get over it and always support this band. This is a great song. And to the people saying they shifted to a more rock sound and less punk, they said their was harder songs on the album. You can't judge it from one song.
Normally i'd of watched 10 seconds of this video and moved on. But I caught this band play last tuesday. They are bloody good musicians and song writers. I bought their last record after the show, well worth my £10. Labels sign bands, get them in the best studios and send them on tours at home and overseas. They do all this because they know the band are good enough to turn peoples heads.. Fair play Make Do And Mend, looks like you're gonna make it.
Can't everyone respect each other and get along? Jeez
I think the way the singer sounds is what adds that 'something extra' that I hear coming from this band. His voice just sounds like it has so many stories to tell.
Make Do And Mend have always made real, passionate, inspiring music. I can't wait to hear the whole record.
Make Do And Mend and Hot Water Music are two genius signs.
Every time I’ve seen these dudes their guitarist is always wearing those all white sneakers. I swear he’s had those shoes for over ten years and I love it!

Rise Records has been doing something right lately
I can't believe rise just signed MDAM. This is unbelievable.
I like that Rise is signing different sounding bands and going back to 90's roots. Sharks' "No Gods" is one of my favorite records released this year so far.

One of the best bands out right now.
Only good thing to ever come from my home state.
Yes rise!! Finally signing a band that doesn't sound exactly like every other band you've ever signed. Son, I am proud.
If you found these guys the same way I did, by searching through heavy rise records songs, then just give it about 2 minutes. Once you adjust from the shift in intensity, these guys are actually a really fun listen with something unique going for them.
Good sign, Rise.
I honestly don't know how that comment has so many likes, really, Make Do and Mend deserves top comments about how awesome they are haha!
I love you because you're making a RUclips comment and using the proper form of you're.... something that most people doing said act cannot do. THANK YOU.
The first advertisement video that I actually watched and liked.
I wish Rise would get more stuff like Misser, Make Do And Mend, and others.
straight up 90's music :)
Why is there so much crackling with this track
Simply fantastic.
Reminds me of some old music I use to listen to. Did not expect this from Rise.
I stand corrected. I really thought they did. I still remember the start of this band and this new CD is STELLAR!
Of course most Rise fans wouldn't like this. Open your minds to more music.
this is an amazing song.
no, we're the lucky ones. cause we get to listen to you guys!

The difference is these guys have talent
Yea thats the point. I like a lot of bands on rise because most people are shallow minded when it comes to music from this label. Rise doesnt only release hardcore/metalcore type bands they have a lot of good soft rock and pop punk bands also.
His microphone... he's doing it right
it's like foo fighters and title fight mixed. what a fucking great band no doubt
Rise really needs to promote more of its Punk/post hardcore thats more punkish. Love this band, glad to hear other sounds.
Hell Yes!!! Something unique signed!!!
these guys could be amazing by the next album they release. hopefully they do it.
the lead singer kinda looks likekevin skaff..im really liking this
These guys are legit!
"It's about time now that you find out your egos a coffin, so lie down." - That opening got me hooked to this band.
I’d like to know what these guys are up to now. Super talented.
I just clicked on this, but geez this band is really good
these guys have the coolest merch ever
What Are We In The 90's?
didn't realize it at first but the chorus sounds so much like "Rise Against" :o
so many people seem to be saying either: "aw man, theres no screaming in this song, what happened to rise, its gone shit now", or for songs with screaming: "theres no point to this song, its just a bunch of guys making a load of noise." what many people seem to be missing is that rise does a mixture of both for a reason, which is cause both genres are awesome, so dont diss, what you may not like someone else may, and vice versa, but that dosent matter, just shut up and listen to what you like :P

So good.
Actually, I love this music.
completly agree! you couldnt of said it better!
Nice to see MDAM use the same replacement for a mic stand as my old band did!
This is totally awesome!!!
everyone is happier this way (this way being since rise started signing good bands)
amen!
WOW.
make do and mend yo!
sounds like Rise is finally looking for some originality in their bands
Feeling there new style
I was nervous when I saw their labelmates videos that were connected to this one, but listening to it put my mind at ease. Pretty good stuff.
Surprisingly good!
Because if you were only ever suggested similar types of music to what you are currently listening to, the world would be a very, very boring place.
check them out on their split with Touche Amore. A bit more energy on "Hand Me Downs".
the vocals are the only softer thing cause he leanred how to control his intensity, compare the instruments and its exactly the same level of heavy
Memphis May Fire is on Rise, but they've got some sick breakdowns.
I had no idea MDAM was on Rise.
for one second there, it sounded like the beginning to whatever the name of that POD song was, “Set It Off” i think?
I agree.
And one more, the views need to be more
They've actually been in playing since 06.
ha yes ! both have similar intros now that i think about it
Yes it does....
just go back in these guys career back with their Touche Amoure split EP and all that, then say that again with a straight face.
anyway this is solid, you can guess it sounds a bit "radio friendly" (actually i always thought Transparent Seas and End Measured Mile had a radio friendly vibe to them) but the edge is stil there. great song/band and can't wait to hear the album
This band is so awesome! Can't wait to hear the new record. Good job guys! Love this.
I like this.
I actually like this. Pretty good stuff.
I like these!
I'm not worried. I bet this album turns out sick.
make do and mend
Agreed.
Well, rise is starting to get non-mainstream bands :o
COOL!
i think this is awesome
Awesome song, awesome video, awesome album...awesome band!
I may listen to pure death metal, metal, metalcore and deathcore but this is pretty good
I'm loving all the new bands, but I'm kinda starting to miss the heavier stuff.
good band and i like this song. its just im not quite sure where there going with there music.
So much drama. Good song. Great band.
This is an amazing band! They are going to be reeeeeally famous soon :)
Really good stuff guys
nickelback, three doors down, seven mary three, creed, lifehouse...should i keep going?
cool riff in the beginning lmao

Sounds just like The Movielife.....anyone else notice that? but don't get me wrong, I do like it. just verrrrryyyyyyy similar.
Normally i'd of watched 10 seconds of this video and moved on.

Valid point
I love this song, and the band. Looking forward to more music by them. :)
