I guess it depends on what you are looking for in a drum machine . Excluding the obvious candidates - I personally rate the Roland R8 . It’s got a great sound set and the sounds are very tweakable . Modern drum machines - I don’t mind the AlphaBase - but its sound is very ‘hard’ so not suitable all the time.
The soundest sounds awfully close to what comes out of my Wersi CX5. At the time many drum machines of smaller manufacturers had the set, including many Italian incarnations. Not bad as such though.
Interesting . I have no doubt sound sets or similar were shared in the early days of digital drum machines. (Drumtraks and the acknowledged poaching of sounds from LinnDrum for example)
I’m not really in the sampling and selling scene just yet - do you mean complete beats or just the hits - as the clean hits are at the start of the video.
Never seen one before - thanks for yet another great introduction!
Cheers
What a cool beat!
Thanks
Wow! Sounds so tight and kickass. Such a bummer though that you can't change patterns on the go. Honestly sounds so good!
Agreed - so close to being excellent
@mikuspilatus Which classics would you consider excellent? Also, any modern drum machine you consider excellent as well?

Nice machine and sequence!
Many thanks!
Actually sounds pretty decent!!!
Yes , I just wish it’s OS was better thought out / developed

Make samples and sell them.

@@mikuspilatus i think he means like make a ZIP file out of the whole machine by ripping all its notes/hits! i did one with my TR-505
@Oddisy hmm maybe - the hits at the start of vid are clean and unprocessed
@Oddisy I guess - it’s not on my radar to make sample packs , but maybe one day . Thanks
