Same here. I saw them some time ago and they looked "okay", but I didn't pay them the proper amount of attention. Having them in front of me and using them made me appreciate them a lot more
There seems to be a lot of sound coming from the tone arm when he does the scratching at around 6:10. It'd be interesting to perform the same scratch on a 1210 and see if its as bad for feedback.
That is a NICE looking turntable! Looking forward to the full review.... It'll be interesting to see how durable these things are over time (compared to a 1200)...
Been a minute since I saw one of your unboxing videos! Wait did you say, it's been sitting there for 10 Days???!!!! I'd be unboxing it with one hand as I drive home!! Big ups for the patience. Hahahaha. Nice Vid!
I know! It was a long time to wait!!! ;) But here's the thing: I couldn"t just open it because I would have to set up everything first and record it. If it was just for me I would have opened that box the first minute :)
I was so close to buying a pair of these, but in the end went with a pair of pimped put 1200's for about the same price. I guess the peer pressure from the "scene heads" was too much, but seeing this kind of videos makes me wonder what could have been...
Hi all, i have a problem with my VL12 when i use a timecodevinyl. There is a disturbing noise near the base. And no, it´s not the timecode signal. I never heard this noise on my technics 1210. Only one of the VL12 have this problem. Denon said, that everything is okay. I crosschanged the systems, the vinyl and tried the digitrac and qbert system
damn why didn't they go all in with the battle position thing (Vestax PDX-A2), they really should've made two options instead of one that's neither here or there
I have multiple questions for anyone who’s willing to answer. I’m looking to purchase turntables apart from my controller. I have no clue about names (other than the obvious ones) direct drive or no, or even what to look for. I’m on a budget, so for first time tables what are my options?
Direct drive for sure. That’s the only way to go. As far as brands and types, there are a lot so your budget will play a big part here. How much could you spend?
Solid decks with great sound quality. But the digital tempo adjust makes them unusable for people who mix dance music as there's no accuracy. Such a shame as they look and feel awesome. Most likely they'll suit scratch and hip hop dj's but not those who do long mixes
I will test that, but what makes you think that only people who mix dance music would need accurate tempo adjust? When I'm mixing I want accurate tempo adjust as well. Or do you mean that it doesn't stay on one tempo?
djTLMtv Fair point on the tempo thing. Just think that in house and techno I do particularly long mixes. I saw somewhere that digital pitches jump in stages rather than smoothly. I found that I had to move the slider on these to over 2% before the platter changed speed at all, then when it did it was in huge jumps. Couldn't beat match records at all. My friend ended up sending them back and buying old technics. Shame as he had the rest of the Denon setup.
Iamyouonlydifferent Hey I appreciate your reply but we're both djs of over 25 years and very experienced. The deck was tried and tested fully by us both and all the way through the pitch slider there are dead zones (even on 8%). Spoke to a turntable engineer who said its digital pitch that's the problem, they move in steps rather than smoothly. And since all turntables are digital now the only option was to go way back to old technics. I loved every other part of this turntable but it simply wasn't possible to do long, smooth mixes on.
No, but I am working on a lot of Denon DJ content for my channel, starting with the full reviews of the entire Prime line-up. New Pioneer DJ content is coming soon too. Waiting for the DDJ1000 and more
They really could have found a better spot for the wires in the front. Argh!!! That looks horrible, doesn't matter how great the turntables looks. OCD kicks in.
10 days without opening the box? Bet that takes a lot of self control 😂, I had a similar situation when I was in NY taking vacations, I bought a Numark Mixtrack Platinum brand new from Guitar Center, and I had to wait almost a month until I got back to DR to open it 😂👌 but it was totally worth it
10 days without opening the box ? That's some serious self control skill you got there :)
He had to drop it on the one ;)
Nice work from Denon. My old Dp Dj 150 is one of the best turntables I’ve used. Solid and functional
I had mine for a few months, and I’m in love with them!!!
I love it! Finally, there is something great on the market since 1210s.
For record decks, these are the most gorgeous looking things ive seen.
I have the VL12's. They are sick. I love them.
these tables are starting to grow on me. I mean I liked them at first but not too much. Now that I see them more im starting to dig them
Andi Mac That Dj wassup how you been?
Same here. I saw them some time ago and they looked "okay", but I didn't pay them the proper amount of attention. Having them in front of me and using them made me appreciate them a lot more
Andi Mac That Dj lol so the tabkes have turned huh? 😂

I never have the self control to not unbox stuff right away 😂😂
The parcel is half unwrapped before its even left the delivery guys hands. 😂

Denon always reliable products still love my 1210'S original and the best in my opinion great videos as always
yesss ultra pitch equipped!!
The box is beautiful
Do they have this denon on straight arm I think I saw someone with a straight arm verdical turntable nice turntable
Best investment I made. I love them and couldnt be happier. 12s are great. But these are just better and better looking. My opinion.
Great turntables and great video as always \o/
Thanks
Just wow!
cant wait for the fulll out review
This turntable looks solid as hell. I am sure you are going to enjoy yourself with these, bro. Are these yours or are you just demoing them for Denon?
Well, they'll be here for quite some time. I can tell you that ;)
Amazing video bro!
This is a nice turntable but I really like my Reloop 7000
I was so close to buying a pair of these, but in the end went with a pair of pimped put 1200's for about the same price. I guess the peer pressure from the "scene heads" was too much, but seeing this kind of videos makes me wonder what could have been...
I must say that if I ever need to purchase a new turntable i would purchase this turntables!!!!!
You’ve had an unopened box in your house for ten days, and you were able to wait that long to open it? How did that not drive you insane?!
Will stick with my 1200's and M5Gs, but the Denons look much more impressive than Pioneer's. The Reloop MK2's look promising as well.
How about a mini mix on em like back in ye olden days of your first channel?
Something like that will be done, but I can’t lost it on this channel. I might post it on the other channel
Man them turntables sexy ....im like time save up half my pay check 😆
Aughhhhhh new box smell
I know, right? Whenever I get any new electronics, I just sit & savor the new box smell when I first open it. LOL!
Jim Ligon lol yuuup

Looks awesome but I'm leaning more toward the SC5000 being more of a club guy
They look really sharp. But for the price. I can still get some NM Technics for less the cost. And invest more money in a good mixer.
You should always do what’s best for your budget
damn why didn't they go all in with the battle position thing (Vestax PDX-A2), they really should've made two options instead of one that's neither here or there
So you're talking about having the pitch slider on the other side and different placement of the other buttons and knobs?

I’m maxed at 500€
I think the Audio Technica LP120s are 250 so you could get two. I’ve never used them, but over the years I’ve heard good stories
Thanks for the speedy reply, good looking out.

Iamyouonlydifferent just look at the state of this ruclips.net/video/8AZsoumhS8Q/видео.html
I'm told they are actually quite good for long blends
So enough of the PRO PIO video's after 8 months we would like to see some Denon reviews...
yeah get those.. there are not enough mk2's for everyone.
Fully sponsored by DenonDJ?
No, but I am working on a lot of Denon DJ content for my channel, starting with the full reviews of the entire Prime line-up. New Pioneer DJ content is coming soon too. Waiting for the DDJ1000 and more
I hope I could save up for those babies. :(
they have cotrollers where you dont need a computer already
They really could have found a better spot for the wires in the front. Argh!!! That looks horrible, doesn't matter how great the turntables looks. OCD kicks in.
That is one of the best things about these decks. I love the fact that they have the rca and power inputs there!
