After her father's death: Village on the Moselle helps young winemaker with her winery

After a stroke of fate, the village on the Moselle catches up with Lena. At the age of only 18 she took over the family winery.
“I was always a dad and always by his side,” says winemaker Lena. In 2011 her father had a fatal accident while working in the vineyard. Lena still goes to school and is suddenly a half-orphan. But there is no time for grief at first. It is not long until the grape harvest and if the family business is to survive, it has to be run. Lena decides to inherit her father's inheritance and becomes the head of the winery - almost overnight. Everyone in the village knows the fate of Lena, her sister Sara and her mother - so the villagers lend a hand. “When we were reading, people said we would go with reading and as the day went on there were more and more people or the others were finished and said, oh, let's read at Endesfelder and so we have the whole area get harvested, ”recalls Lena. "The way the village carried us was immense - we still feel great gratitude," says Lena's sister Sara.
Lena is a village child through and through and cannot imagine living anywhere else. For Lena, Mehring is made up of the people who live here and make their village a unique home. And thanks to the solidarity, she managed to think positively even in the crisis and to find her happiness.

werd auf jeden Fall mal ne Flasche probieren !
Normalerweise gibts genug Wein an der Mosel das man einfach zugreifen kann
aber ich werde gezielt nach nach einer Flasche von Ihr suchen
sehr bewegend aber auch gut zu sehen wieviel Kraft und Mut sie hat
