I bought the 'medium' size (10" size) of Knipex Pliers at Home Depot (they only have that one size on display in the store). I bought one and I liked it so much that I bought a second one. Then I noticed that the handle of the tool is great for when you want to apply a lot of torque to a nut/bolt (the way an adjustable wrench would), but when you only want to apply a bit of torque, the handles are a bit too long, so I took one of the wrenches and I cut off 3" of each handle, now it's perfect. Its now like the 7.25" set that Knipex already sells.

Dude I don't think I have ever been sold on a tool so thoroughly & so quickly. Only other tool that comes close was the Milwaukee fastback folding knife with the screwdriver bit holder, but these pliers solve so many problems that drive me nuts I honestly hate that I don't already have a pair, and I've only known they exist for 7 minutes now.

Agree, it is fine tool for lighter stuff and quick working. But a bit weaker and more bulky than good old screw adjustible french wrench where you can put a one or two meter pipe on it and grab it really hard without breaking it if you are trying to unscrew some large 50mm radiator rusted screw or similar stuff :D These will bend at some point. Also the Knipex price is a bit higher. Usually you can buy multiple "crescent wrenches" for a price of one of these :)
Knipex wire cutters and many precision pliers are arso very nice tools. And Cobra pliers for pipes with nice sharp teeth that won't get dull in years.
