@@brik05 I went to Helsinki which isn't the coldest part of Finland and I go maybe a few miles up I see people in shorts in a frozen lake, you guys got balls of steel
Relatable when it comes to the hump. When i first got the MZ1 i was surprised that this mouse is made by a fingertipper and targetted towards fingertippers primarily with such an aggressive hump, it felt more of a claw with palm contact mouse to me. To the point it kind of felt quite a bit larger than Orochi/UL2 in general feel despite being quite thin. The low hump introduced with the wireless version makes so much more sense.
Loved the wired version for claw grip with medium-largish hands, although I had some cramping and had to do some adjusting of my finger placement a bit I found I adapted well to it after a week or so. Ended up grabbing the wireless version and love it even more with the low back shell, gives you so much freedom to finely control aim with your fingers in combination with your wrist and arm which is what made me want to switch from larger mice like the FK1 to smaller mice, that vertical control of sliding the mouse back into the palm is perfect for managing recoil, where the FK1 would just stop at a certain point because it's so long and tall in comparison.
This mouse is perfect for a knuckle claw grip. Your knuckles rest on the back hump and you have a slight claw form in your fingers so that only the tips touch.
My wrists and pinky finger was kind of hurting when I use MZ1 even after just 2 hrs of gaming. It could be because of the hump in the back. I tried Pulsar v2 mini and I'm loving it right now.
What I would really want to see in a review, is the performance in ranked matches. On deathmatch, I can play with really every mouse. But the real interesting comes with the competition. There are mice where I can’t build a muscle memory on, even after weeks of use. I perform the best with the ec2 and 3, but on deathmatch and aim trainer, it’s a complete other story with something like the GPX
Might be something mental for you tbh. Usually the mouse that feels comfortable and you can aim well is going to be the best performer short term. Long term, we are very good at adapting so there is no major difference between mice that should be decent sized for you!
This is most definitely mental. You're probably very tense in ranked and shake a lot more, so a heavier more palm-filling mouse would be affected less by those microshakes.
I have 19x11 hands and use relaxed fingertip. The high hump on the wired MZ1 made me grip the mouse way further back than it was intended to and I feel like it really dug into my palm and limited my range of motion and abillity for microadjustments, especially vertically. I would have to squeeze the mouse pretty tight and i'd get some pain and stiffness. All the other features of the mouse are great for me, since I like to put my ring and pinky finger flat against the mouse like in a palm grip and this is one of the few fingertip mice where you can do that. My question is do you think the new flatter hump could solve these issues for fingertip?
I have used the wired version of this mouse for about 7 months and it instantly slotted into my hand. Althought I will not be purchasing the wireless version and I am probably going to get the x2 mini.
Great review Haus! BTW they actually reduced the weight quite a bit from the original wired verison. The 500 mAh battery and battery holder alone weighs 12 grams. Swapping the battery out for a 150mAh (3 grams) and removing the tray holder (2g) and rgb shroud (2g) should bring the weight down from 62g to 51g with better weight balance. Non-destructive, easily reversible mod as well.
Thanks! I don't think there will be much benefit for me personally by stripping 10g off from the mouse. Weight / weight balance is completely fine, would not hurt for it to be lighter of course, but I'll gladly wait for an updated version!
@@hausgaming Indeed, 62 grams is already very light. Maybe in the future they will release an updated version, ditching the holes and RGB for a smaller battery.
I have 17 by 9 hands, and this works with claw as well. I have the m42 to compare with and I think this shape is better for my claw as I do carpal stabilized claw.
Yo my fearless Viking friend, Very good bullet points for sure. Top notch man. Really looking forward to the day I get to try out the MZ1 wireless. Until then I will just have to keep using the wired. So the hump on the wireless... which one of the humps is the same as the original MZ1? Or is it different all the way around? Ha and I like where you put your portable mic at. Like a game show host or something. Really smart. I will always look up to ya for your awesome vids @hausgaming Cheers.
Banger review as always, on a side note. Before I read the pinned comment I had so many questions lol. At first I thought you were on vacation and brought the mice to complete the review hahah Now that's dedication.
What would you say are the best fingertip mice, besides this? Oh, and what happened to the announced Viper v2 Pro vs GPX video to milk more content from the v2 Pro, featuring an extensive shape comparison? :P
@@hausgaming thanks!!! I want to know the difference between putting the weight forward, putting it in the middle, and putting it behind And can I use this mouse on the glass pad?
what do u think of this vs hsk plus wireless? im torn because this is 20g heavier, but the shape seems more flexible, i mostly fingertip but sometimes pull it in for more control, and maybe i cant do that on hsk plus.
how about the scroll button? i heard from some review the wired mz1 had a problem with mushy scroll button may caused by very low profile design of it.
this mouse is ass, has way too many problems. i have had 3 replacements of it and they all start to stutter click after half a year. DO NOT BUY IF YOU WANT A LONG LASTING MOUSE
The weather is too hot in Finland and my office is too hot, so I had to film in some other spots with a worse mic. 😖📉
Im a fan of different rooms / perspectives!
it was a nice change of view. I am hype for the pulsar symmetrical mini

This guy can review a piece of cardboard as a mousepad and it'll be more informative and entertaining than most tech tubers out there. Amazing vids!
Thank you bro! 😂

Great review as always man. Appreciate the apex footage as well, really clean!
I loved the wired version, but the cable was a pain for me because how I have me set up. The Wireless V should be on its way by now

Is the scroll wheel also hard to click like the old version?

Thanks for the review! I have some mice I perform better with, but the shape is all I feel. The more comfortable mice I can't perform with. 🙃
How long is battery life?

my issue with the mz1 was the deep rounded buttons, felt like i had to keep my finger locked right in the middle and that was too annoying for me
@hausgaming Pardon me sir, are you able to use your endgame grip with the other back shell on the mz1-w?
Not at all, it's too small for that!

nice review! at least what did u prefer M42 or Mz1? in terms of confidence and comfort feeling in the hand
I've been positively surprised by the MZ1, if it won't cause any kind of discomfort in my wrist on longer term it might even be my new main!
Really nice review!
Do you think this would be good for aggressive claw grip or there is some better options?
M42 wireless is better option imo!
