I love videos like this! It’s so therapeutic seeing stuff get organized. I’m not sure what your situation is with being able to hang stuff on walls. But you could always get a floating shelf for the games/movies since they’re lighter
I also want to buy a cabinet or shelf, but I'm not sure if I should just get an open one. Oh, and I don't like manga sleeves/bags. Wouldn't it be better to install a sliding door or simply buy a cabinet with a door to protect against light (yellowing), dust, and humidity?
I would say your best bet is to just get a normal shelf. - For light, you can probably hang a curtain from the top. - For dust, what I do is just put a volume or piece of paper on top to catch all the dust. - For humidity, just get a small humidifier for your room. Probably like $20-30 on Amazon and will solve that issue easy
I absolutely hate how they always put the same character on every single spine of the Vizbigs & omni’s, like your Rurouni Kenshin or DBZ, I hate how they do that. One of the worst I’ve ever seen is the One Piece omni’s where Luffy is on every single spine, over 30 volumes with just his face on every one. Why on earth do they do that?

i have two immensely diabled in manga cabinets which are basically ornate collages, which have been dialed in over years of collection and thousands of dollars. I have sold things or put them elsewhere due to the size of the series or the spine heights and aesthetics. I really like having perfect shelf situations, like with your OG wooden brown manga shelf
Yea the volumes of Akira are too nice to leave in the box, you should have them out on the shelf. I did take the dust jackets off mine because I was afraid of damaging them, but the hardcovers still look great, although they are very different to the dust jackets.

I only had around 7 spaces left on my shelves & so recently I took off every Series that I have completed & it's left me with 70-80 spaces 🤩
