I have this guitar. I noticed it when it came out in 2007. About the time I decided to get one, they were no longer for sale at my local store. So a few years later I picked one up on Ebay. Very striking guitar with that swirled ebony. I'm always checking RUclips to see someone else demonstrate theirs. There have only been a few. I got it for a good price at the time. I've noticed they are selling for more on Ebay now. They don't appear on Ebay too often.
To me, Guitars are like guns. Find one that fits your hands and go. Many people can make a $200 ibanez sound just like this. So, like guns, is it all about your style? I'm an Ibanez guy as well. I have a custom RG2EX. I love that thing. The neck is shredded down. It plays fast. very nice clean tones. very heavy bright distortion. I am jealous, is what I'm saying.

I agree, always loved an Ibanez RG models and especially S Series is a killer design.
