Here's a very brief and informal introduction to the 2023 Ibanez Guitars line-up. Not all models are in the video , but there's enough to check out.

I have a seven string tuned down a step to A, I don't feel the need to go any lower, the neck is wide enough as it is.
@@scramblesthedeathdealer same for me! I play seven strings and anything beyond that means a whole different ( playing ) approach, a different strap length and different wrist bending etc… 7 is where I draw the line.

Ibanez needs to put stainless steel frets on all their premium models and up . I hate being restricted to AZs and 5000 series . Seriously

100% factual. They can afford to. Anything at or above premium simply has a bunch of premiums on it. Theyre milking too much money..

I am the biggest fan of the S series. I just love the weight, their playability and pretty incredible pick ups and switch. such a great guitar for the price. I really love the gold pick ups, I just wish I could have that same set up except with the chameleon blue. I just wish that Ibanez gave us the option. I don’t know why these guitar companies don’t allow for a users choice in color, essentially all the colors they make on all of their guitars, and giving us the choice to put what paint on which guitar.
As I wouldn’t mind having an S series with that faded black color on the RG. Same thing with what I mentioned above.
My oldest brothers name is nick crosby.also a musician of great stature.but I jest cause he's my brother and "idol "and doesn't no it.
2023 not a good year for S series, wish they would bring back S series 7 strings.

Ibanez doesn’t do neckthru much but the iron label series has some models with neckthru

The j.customs and some of the 50 years USA models match my style but not my budget.
All other guitars are not interesting for me. I was hoping for some entry RG prestiges like the RG 1570 in memorial to the first of them in 2003 (20 years ago) with prices slightly above the Genesis series and more basic finishes and pickups but with excellent playability.
Nothing as nice as My Az2204 KB Koa brown Limited Edition! This year! I have the first RG with the Roadstar headstock RG460 only made for one year! And I’m interested in selling it!
The new RG9 is on the bucket list

So much moaning in the comments about lack of specific colours in models - Ibanez offer a bigger choice than many other manufacturers. The new chameleon finishes are awesome and are offered at three different price points starting in the Gios. My only gripe is that they offer fewer models in Europe than the US. If I ever got into that showroom they'd have to drag me kicking and screaming to get me out! I'll check your channel out Remy.

Prestige model is better, jcustom just looks better, and not the old prestige, but the newer models. For 1999.99 you can't beat the RG 5320c with lo pro edge tremolo, gotoh tuners, SS frets, major Japanese quality control, and it's a solid mahogany body, and DiMarzio pickups the tone zone, and the Air Norton. For less than 2 grand can't be beat. But plays as good if not better than the jcustom series.
There is no new color for AZ HH. It's very sad krub P'Remy ,I'm about to buy one AZ HH soon, I'll have to choose the old color.

02:30 would've been nice to know the scale length of the 7 string
It’s 25.5 all Ibanez 7 strings are 25.5 unless specified otherwise in the model name, they’re all also on the website
@@KadenSlam 7 string 25" is so pointless, had to return the new epiphone matt lp because the scale length just meant the lowest strings just made buzz on the frets due to lack of tension and was almost unusable
@@omgdisfunny4852 may I ask what tuning you used ? I have ( had ) a few 25.5 scale lenght 7 strings tuned to B and it seems to work fine .
@@remyhansen just the standard b e a d g b e, I'm not sure if it was just that guitar or what but it's kinda put me off trying another 7 string that isn't a baritone
@@omgdisfunny4852 that’s weird🧐, if possible maybe try a few to check if it was just that. I believe that Korn tuned them even lower on standard 25.5 scale , and it also seemed to work. I hope you’ll find a nice one ! Best, Remy
Not very rich line this year. I'm dissapointed. First those rg j customs arent new. No new rg's, pearl white were on sale in the middle of 2022, I hope Ibanez will add some new colours. I remember once they haven't shown all new guitars in one day. Interesting models for me are az 2407 with flame maple. And kiko100.

Dear ibanez. More edge LO pros, less edge. Its just better why keep around a model that is less equivalent in every metric. Like loterally 1 is the most perfect open bridge ever designed and the other is just the same exact bridge except for the damn thing is in the way and isnt flat like it should be. #2 equip a few of those lo pros on an az model or two? Why tf not not. Ill take 1 right now here is my money. #3 model S swamp ash or basswood body with lo pro and sustainiac. #4 more sustainiacs. #5 more bareknuckle pickups. #6 put these specs on a model S. #7 make more model S. Like at least as many S as there are AZ imo. If not more? Ibanez makes my fav guitar but they literally never get the specs right ilfor me it seems. Im just a shred metal player u know your #1 customer base.

I still don't understand why they dropped the rg 657 msk which was beautiful, one of the few with reddish color and maple fretboard with tremolo. they are obsessed with blue colors.

It's 2023 and Ibanez is still making a fixed scale 9 string in 28" (which is too short for the tunning the instrument is supposed to be used in). And on top of that they make 6 string with fanned frets just to show you how much they don't give a sh*t about the 9. This is midly infuriating.
Pretty boring 2023 for ibanez..even worse for us lefties as they didn't add any new models and got rid of the j customs
Yeah ibanez have never really been that lefty friendly. I understand the whole production process thing costing more etc. But other companies manage to provide more lefty options.
The Lineup for this year is very sad… no new 7 String Prestige with fixed Bridge like the 752fx or a new rgxl with 27“ scale. No evertune 7 String. 😢
The rgd61alet holds low tunings really well, Sabian Lynch from Alpha Wolf tunes his to a standard with a F instead of an A on the lowest string, he met him and he said usually it wouldn’t hold that well without putting a crazy gauge on it and making it unplayable but the evertune with a proper setup holds the low tuning fine
I would also love to see more fixed bridge guitars, perfect world would be a fixed bridge version of a rg2027xl with a reverse headstock 😍

The Hyperion Duncans in their AZ range is one of the worst pickups that I have ever heard, too honky and mid rangey
They work better with high gain distortion
