    Nach der NAMM Show hatten wir die Gelegenheit, den legendären Ibanez LA Custom Shop in Kalifornien zu besuchen. Dabei zeigte uns Mike Orrigo (Ibanez Artist Relations Representative), wie die Einzelstücke dort entstehen, und wie ein handverlesenes Team daran arbeitet, die Ibanez-Endorser glücklich zu machen. Viel Spaß bei unserem Rundgang durch die heiligen Hallen.
    Übrigens. Ein Interview mit Ibanez LA Custom Shop Master Builder Tak Hosono findest du hier: • Music n Stuff: Intervi...

    Can someone explain here the use of the microphone in the interviewer's Hand?

    • @MusicnstuffDe
      @MusicnstuffDe  8 лет назад +1

      Mehmetcan Memq Serim Hi, unfortunately we had technical problems with the handheld mike. So we had to use the cam microphone. But we thought it would be better then having no video. I hope you can unterstand that.

    I was fortunate to get my hands on a Dino Cazares LA custom 7. It’s flat black with 2 EMG 707 prototypes. Bought it at GC Studio City.

      +startdrumming.de Da sie sich dort auch um die amerikanischen Tama-Endorser kümmern waren da lustigerweise auch jede Menge coole Schlagzeuge. Aber klar, der Fokus im Video liegt natürlich auf Gitarren. ;)

    That’s the most smallest factory I’ve ever seen, some people will say “It’s because the LA Custom Shop hasn’t been existing for a long time”, to be honest I don’t have any idea if they have more time existing but that’s not an excuse! Look at ESP’s new project since 2014, ESP USA! Also made in L.A. and the ESP USA has been out there since 2014 and look at all the workers they have! They’re big! There’s no problem with that to be honest, but maybe Ibanez has been existing since more than 60 years! ESP since 1975, but to be honest, I guess that Ibanez Custom Shop should also be able to public and not only for artists, by the way they’re a great brand, I love my Jacksons, my ESPs, my Schecters and my Ibanez Guitars! They just kick ass!

      How long have you been existing, my Man?? I'd think you'd have a better command of the English language - unless you have only been existing since August...

    Hi I just wonder is this custom shop open to the public or they just make guitar for famous artists?

    • @MusicnstuffDe
      @MusicnstuffDe  8 лет назад +4

      tokutoshi Unfortunately it's not open to the public ... it's really only for the artists Ibanez is working directely with.

  • @frostbeam7095
    @frostbeam7095 8 лет назад

    damn, it's way smaller than I thought it would be. I know builders who would be considered very small time guitar companies that have more guys working for them.

    • @MusicnstuffDe
      @MusicnstuffDe  8 лет назад +1

      Yeah, it's very, very exclusive and top notch. :) But as they really are only building instruments for Top-Class-Endorsees, there is no need for a huge factory. It really is a small luthier shop.

    Terrible interviewing and camera skills...

      @MusicnstuffDe  8 лет назад

      +gazman5150 Ok, sorry for that, we are always trying to improve. If you could be a little bit more specific what exactly I/we did wrong, that would help us.
      And about the terrible interview skills: What information would you like to get that was not in the video? We can try to get that infos for you.
      kind regards. Jan & Music nStuff

      I'll be nice and let you know what really sticks out to me.
      The accent of the person conducting the interview is very heavy, while not a terrible thing, it doesn't help. Also, the interviewer definitely needs to work on preparedness, didn't feel like he knew much of what to expect or what to be asking or talking points to get to. To add on top of this, the man giving the tour didn't seem very experience or prepared either, I think if just one of you had been prepared or had better experience then this video would have been much much better.
      The camera work is very inconsistent, doesn't seem like he/she knew what they were doing. This video needs better editing. I know frequent cuts can be annoying but at the same time there are a lot of dead moments in this that keep it from finding a consistent flow.
      Sincerely, don't take any of this to harsh, I recognize that you're probably pretty new to all of this and I'm just trying to give you some good criticism to help you get better. Good luck in the future.

      @@MusicnstuffDe i haven't seen a usa custom headstock from ibanez in decades. there's one on the bottom left of the neck stack. "hey lets look at that....". i personally want them to reissue the jpm model. I don't care that petrucci is with music man now. ibanez owns the graphic. call it the picasso and roll in the money :P

      As far as I remember, I'm quite sure it's just the neck for Steve Vais JEM Triple neck, with a normal sixstring neck, a fretless sixstring neck and a twelvestring neck. You can see it here for example: ruclips.net/video/uK56p23GX-o/видео.html

    Ibanez is the SNOOD of the guitar industry. NO Custom Shop for the public, their Custom Shop is only for endorsed artists. ESP, Jackson, Fender, Schecter, and so many others will be happy to build you whatever you want.

    i have to echo the sentiment about a lackluster interviewer and cameraman. the interviewer had no questions, hardly even talked at all. cmon man youre in the heart of the legendary ibanez universe, he wasnt hands on at all either. the cameraman at least looked at some of the interesting things hanging on the wall, but the interviewer didnt ask about a single thing or wish to see or focus on anything.

    • @MusicnstuffDe
      @MusicnstuffDe  8 лет назад

      +LJUNGBERG3 Well, ok, I have to accept this critique and ideas for improvement. Sure, we could have asked more, but we wanted to give a little insight how they are doing things at the Ibanez LA Custom Shop. But we will try to do it better next time. ;)
      BTW: You can get more details when you watch our interview with master builder Tak Hosono here: ruclips.net/video/uYRc7dvHc_E/видео.html

    • @gazman5150
      @gazman5150 8 лет назад

      +Music nStuff I also watched this interview and I have to say, I still feel the same. Bad interviewing skills. I don't want to sound bad because well done for getting in there but you must have noticed Taks body language? He was moving away from you the entire interview. . there were times you could have spoke and not just been silent... you were coughing and you kept wiping your face... just my observations.

    • @MusicnstuffDe
      @MusicnstuffDe  8 лет назад

      +gazman5150 Hi there, ok, I have to accept you don't like it. And of course, I'm no expert in body language, but to me (when we were there and watching the video now) it looks more like a combination of Tak being a shy guy and sitting comfortably in his chair and on the arm rest more than moving away from me - but it might be I'm wrong with this impression.
      And yes, I was sick as hell that day, but as we are from germany, it was the only chance we had to have a visit there that time - and we were only two (sick) people there, so nobody else could have done it for us. Ok, of course we had the chance to cancel the appointment, but I don't think that would have been better.
      To cut a long story short: I know that we have room to improve our videos/interviews, we are still learning and are getting better and better (at least I think so). But sure, if the quality is not good enough for you, you don't have to watch it. Sorry that you are disappointed.
      Maybe you give us another chance in some months and see if we have reached another level of quality. Thank you very much.
      kind regards. Jan & Music nStuff

    Paul Gilbert's sig ax is the biggest embarrassment of a guitar out of all sig guitars ever designed and made! 🤦 It's just.,🙆so, so baad! Lucky the man can shred, cos he has the lamest "uncle" taste going.You can see it in his dress sense aswell - he genuinely has no idea where to start! So he just makes random choices....purple track suit pants...dress shoes with white tube Sox - and he's not being ironic either.. Its just like....🙆 ,"Painted on f-holes, really??!"
