THIS. THIS THIS THIS. THIS WAS MY FIRST VERSION OF MINECRAFT. I ended up getting the full version for my birthday almost 10 years ago. I still remember my first survival world! I had a 1x1 tunnel in my house that led down to bedrock, and I would just strip mine to the world’s edge. I turned my mine into an underground hotel, even though it was a single player world. I remember the “nyan cat” seed for this version too! It had this insane mountain with a massive lava fall. It was my favorite seed to generate. I also remember when they added the nether reactor! Made it without knowing what it would do and boy was 10 year old me surprised. I’m so glad that there’s still archives of this version. Even if it isn’t as good as PE is now, I will always remember my time with this version.
Broo, I remember making massive hotels out of the brick block in the lite game just to have it get deleted when i closed it lol. I distinctly remember putting paintings in all of the rooms lol. One time when I had the full game me and a friend played PE until like 1 am making nether reactors and shit. I think we were also using dupe glitches haha.
I remember PE Lite in a very specific way. Every time I would load in, I’d load in and immediately use purple wool to tower up to avoid zombies, and end up making a bridge of purple wool that was suspended completely in the air, with torches along it. I don’t think I ever considered that I could just.. make a house.

You have to be on survival to activate the nether reactor so you need to craft it from diamonds and iron, and then build the nether reactor structure from cobblestone and gold
I remember how i played this on my friends tablet and we legit found a torch underground, thinking back it was probably a world he had been on before, but still it seemed so cool to us back then.
I just watched the video and realized how long I've been playing Minecraft. I thought I've been playing Minecraft for around seven years but now I realized that I've been playing for a lot longer. I remember playing even before they added the Nether reactor, and when they removed it I didn't realize where my builds went. HOW DID I NOT KNOW THAT!
I remember using the nether reactor core in one of my builds in Minecraft pe. once the block was removed I was very cared to go anywhere near it in fear that I would destroy them.
I remember having the full version of MCPE. It was the first Minecraft I ever played and I loved it as a kid. Thanks for nostalgic trip Squiddo! (Although, I'm surprised there was a lite version of MCPE, I don't remember the lite version being on the App Store.)
Okay I’m going to rant about my experience with MC pocket edition lite. I can remember watching a spider climb up the invisible border. I can remember building towers of sugar cane and cacti all the way to the build limit and breaking the bottom. I can remember playing with my siblings in the worlds. I can remember the limited inventories. I can remember how annoying it was to switch from creative to survival, because every time you did your inventory would get cleared. I’d have to put all my stuff in a chest before switching. I can remember how sleeping was the way you regained health because I suppose food didn’t exist yet. Most of all I can remember the nether reactor core. I’d summon those over and over and watch the pigmen run in circles as I picked up the random items that dropped, like beds and cacti and sand and potatoes. I can remember the huge netherrack mess it would make in a really random but organized pattern. I would do the nether over and over again and there were so many netherrack structures in my world. I can remember my siblings mining the nether reactor core before it was too late so we could reuse it and not have to craft another one. In a later version of the game, I can remember being able to mine emerald blocks with a wooden pickaxe. I think I’ll stop here or else I’ll go on forever.
This was my first survival world, there were no caves and the world was tiny so I collected all the diamonds and rationed them out for years; I still remember riding my little minecart-turned-rollercoaster around the whole world, a shame it’s been lost to the aether
Oh man I have so many fond memories of playing on Minecraft Pocket Edition Lite, I remember I would build like these hotel structures in the middle of mountains in creative mode. In survival mode I remember having to fight off the hostile mobs with just my pickaxe - that was definitely an experience.
Ah man so I’m just having flash backs of playing this with my cousins, lite edition was my life until my parents let me buy the full version. The old zombie sounds are insanely nostalgic
pocket edition lite was my favourite thing to play when bored in public, especially with my siblings. we'd build wool houses on the tops of trees in survival since we had infinite wool and planks
My first ever version of Minecraft, the memories are coming back. Good old days where you needed a 2 block deep water pools to negate fall damage and none of the blocks had gravity 3:53 nope, in the full version the world cuts off as well. Back then pocket edition had limited world sizes since devices were nowhere near able to handle infinite worlds
I used to own the full MC PE Lite edition, with no "not available with demo mode" in the inventory. Unfortunately, you are unable to install it due to it not meeting the new iOS App Store requirements.
As a person who played Pocket Edition when the nether reactor did something (IDK what version) that is the same exact thing that happens when you click on the core. Quick funy tip: try it in survival, maybe it'll work, maybe not idk
OH MY GOD THIS HITS HARD ON NOSTALGIA, i remember me and my brother would play the full version of PE lite because it used to be mobile only, now we play it quite often with him in creative and me on survival, the old diamond core thing u needed to surround with cobble, 4 gold blocks i think and the core in the middle, that was how you got nether rack, but at the same time it was also great for towers because it gave you a tower of nether rack
Nostalgia, I played then, once I was playing in survival, and I found a BIG ASS WALL, it was basically a zombie spawner, it was completely dark, I miss it, and the core block to spawn the nether, was on the paid version
God this brings back so many memories. For one, there was actually a glitch where you could get the gold back so that you could spawn another "Nether Spire". Basically, once it activated, it would turn the cobblestone and gold into a "red obsidian" texture and you couldn't mine it. However! If you were fast and ran around the structure, you could actually mine the gold blocks before they turned into the unbreakable blocks. My personal best was 2 gold blocks, and I made so many spires to get ~*Cactus*~
I remember playing on version 0.6.1 years ago. I made a lot of Nether Reactors. I found out a way to convert from creative to survival and I used it to be rich on survival but I couldn't open chest on creative mode so... I drop the items on the ground and convert the world then... Millions of Nether Reactors
Back in my days, you could get MCPE Lite from the app store, Minecraft Pocket Edition still had the nether reactor core, we didn't have redstone, we had to use alternative redstone (cactus, signs, water and torches), stonecutters were in the game and had a function and powered rails were always powered. Those were the good old days, i miss those days a lot.

I remember one world specifically where I built an all brick house with a chimney in the corner that went across all floors which I used to get around. I also remember my little brother joining my world and getting scared because I thought it was some kind of hacker or bugged npc (I was around 4 and didn't know what herobrine was yet)
1:18 yeah you TOTALLY had this in the depths of your phone and this TOTALLY isn't on your computer because on the top of the screen it OBVIOUSLY did NOT have "press F11 to exit fullscreen"
i remember my dad got my brother and i this version on his iPads. the best memory i have of it is when our grandpa joined on his phone and we trapped him underwater when he went to get some water. i miss him so much…
I’m not sure why but when I played Minecraft lite all those years ago it absolutely TERRIFIED me I guess because of the atmosphere?? And the feeling of being all alone and night time was creeeeepy I still love Minecraft tho and I still play it
Damn I remember making myself carsick on my dad's phone while playing this in the car for as long as I could before getting too sick lol. We had played actual Minecraft on one of our friends Xbox 360s and this was the closest thing we had to it. Coming home to my mom's house with an Xbox 360 sitting on my bed was the happiest day of my childhood. I can remember countless hours of playing with online friends building massive world's, building our own sort of 'smp' back in the day. We'd have about 20 or so friends join a world and build whatever they wanted, giving permission to my close friends to ban griefers. Man those were the days. Id do anything to get those mornings before school back trying to crunch in some time playing Minecraft with friends. I'm still kind of in contact with one of those friends to this day, but we had a falling out awhile back.
i remember playing pe in like the first versions, and i thought the nether reactor was a very cool block for decoration, i didnt know it was the nether
i remember getting my friends to download this back in middle school in an attempt to convince them to convince their parents to buy the full game so they could become a minecrafter too😂
Before buying the paid version, I really wanted to make a rollercoaster. I used black wool and ladders to creative some. I remember making it during a check-up. The power of imagination :D
Oh my gosh you found my first Minecraft experience. Yeah I play on my phone nowadays with tremendous lag, a great big UI taking up the screen and difficult controls, and I consider myself lucky!!
LOL I remember even on normal pocket edition the world cut out! My friend didn't have the Lite version but we had one of the very early versions of Pocket Edition on his ipad. Back when NRC's were still existent, you could get the weird red obsidian, Zombie Pigmen burned in sunlight, and there was a bare amount of blocks you could do anything with. Those were the days, along with early 2010's Pixel Gun 3D.
Before you couldnt do alot of stuff in Creative so We had to Try them in survival for the Full Features. Creative was like check if something is new in the update and go in survival to check if something else works like a nether portal, because you couldnt get a lot of items in creative!
I remember when the nether reactor core was first added and when the fire texture was a red placeholder that just filled your screen with red if lava set you on fire
I remember playing this when I was very young on my iPad 1 and sharing it with my little brother, I was very confused why I couldn’t craft or go to the nether, until a few years later where it updated to a more recent version of mcpe.
This version is so nostalgic for me, but also incredibly broken. Seriously, half of my conversations are just like "so I was playing Minecraft PE and it glitches..."
when i was like 7 i used to play this version on my tablet , its extremely nostalgic the version youre playing is actually a little different from the one i had i think we still got the tablet , idk if it works tho , i used to play so often on it... i remember being super affraid of the edge of the world , and using the reactor core in build bc i thought it looked cool , and i always played in creative , when my dad told me there were monsters in minecraft i was really scared for a few weeks
I have extremely vivid memories of the nether reactor cores. My family had a world together, and it had a ton of those towers that spawn when you activate the reactors. We even plotted to yoink the gold blocks after we activated it but before they disappeared
Man, lite was a different world, I had forgotten about it ...Mostly because I played free knockoffs with somehow more content at the time until I got it in late 2014 or something
My grandma’s like 5 yr old iPad had this but there was no such thing as “demo”. I used to LOVE that version of Minecraft because i thought it was the only Minecraft in existence. :)
The paid MCPE version had a limited world at the start of mcpe but as time progressed it got infinite, this was because mobile devices had weak specs. the lite version always had a small world size far smaller than the paid version
0:34 in old versions of mcpe there was a border that went on forever and consisted of invisible bedrock. any mob that passes through here will forget their ai, turn invisible and wont move

1:18 yeah you TOTALLY had this in the depths of your phone and this TOTALLY isn't on your computer because on the top of the screen it OBVIOUSLY did NOT have "press F11 to exit fullscreen"
Fun fact: extracting apk's is a thing🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
cant she just...... imported the apk from her phone to her pc????
"A bit of orange, that's my favourite colour!"
Excellent, you've gained a new Subscriber from that alone.
Orange is my favourite colour too.
i remember my dad got my brother and i this version on his iPads. the best memory i have of it is when our grandpa joined on his phone and we trapped him underwater when he went to get some water. i miss him so much…
I’m not sure why but when I played Minecraft lite all those years ago it absolutely TERRIFIED me I guess because of the atmosphere?? And the feeling of being all alone and night time was creeeeepy I still love Minecraft tho and I still play it
The nether reactor core should have been kept as a decoration block it looked rad as hell, did not need to be removed
There is also a speedrun community, I made a video about some of the categories a while back and it's really nice to see these old versions
This feels like it was made 6 years ago
I really miss this version of mcpe. It feels like 2009 all over again
i remember getting my friends to download this back in middle school in an attempt to convince them to convince their parents to buy the full game so they could become a minecrafter too😂
Squiddo:i found it in my depths of my phone
Apperently she thinks we wont see the bluestacks keys
Before buying the paid version, I really wanted to make a rollercoaster. I used black wool and ladders to creative some. I remember making it during a check-up. The power of imagination :D
Oh my gosh you found my first Minecraft experience.
Yeah I play on my phone nowadays with tremendous lag, a great big UI taking up the screen and difficult controls, and I consider myself lucky!!
Back then, bricks were my favorite block.
Now, bricks are just ancient remnants of a bygone era.
I really like how Toe Snapper seems so friendly! :D
I remember when the nether reactor core was first added
and when the fire texture was a red placeholder that just filled your screen with red if lava set you on fire
I have that version in my old Ipad 1. Seeing this brought me such a strong nostalgia, I would love to join your smp, I mean it XD.
I won't lie, I almost cried from nostalgia watching this. So much joy, so many memories of days of innocence.
You can actually stand on top of the edge of the world. I don’t remember how I found out.
I remember playing this when I was very young on my iPad 1 and sharing it with my little brother, I was very confused why I couldn’t craft or go to the nether, until a few years later where it updated to a more recent version of mcpe.
This version is so nostalgic for me, but also incredibly broken. Seriously, half of my conversations are just like "so I was playing Minecraft PE and it glitches..."
when i was like 7 i used to play this version on my tablet , its extremely nostalgic the version youre playing is actually a little different from the one i had
i think we still got the tablet , idk if it works tho , i used to play so often on it...
i remember being super affraid of the edge of the world , and using the reactor core in build bc i thought it looked cool , and i always played in creative , when my dad told me there were monsters in minecraft i was really scared for a few weeks
I have extremely vivid memories of the nether reactor cores. My family had a world together, and it had a ton of those towers that spawn when you activate the reactors. We even plotted to yoink the gold blocks after we activated it but before they disappeared
The fact that i remember doing lan party with this version in primary schools with old iphone and ipod still impress me to this day lmao
nostalgia! This is first version of Minecraft that I played
Flashbacks lol, good times
3:07 the lighting from the torches is so nostalgic man
Man, lite was a different world, I had forgotten about it
...Mostly because I played free knockoffs with somehow more content at the time until I got it in late 2014 or something
ok, the night is insanely nostalgic, it reminds me of that liminal spaces image “Where did the sun go?” Please search it up.
My grandma’s like 5 yr old iPad had this but there was no such thing as “demo”. I used to LOVE that version of Minecraft because i thought it was the only Minecraft in existence. :)
I GOT SCARED WHEN I WALKED OUTSIDE AT NIGHT AND A ZOMBIE CAME AT ME XD
I have SO much nostalgia for the old MCPE sound effects!
i love the idea of an smp in the earliest version of minecraft that has survival. i wonder how things would go
The paid MCPE version had a limited world at the start of mcpe but as time progressed it got infinite, this was because mobile devices had weak specs. the lite version always had a small world size far smaller than the paid version
