I won a couple lots of backstage passes from the Vinnie Paul auction. I found it very cool but also very eerily weird that were handling stuff that was his. I don't know, I mean I certainly have my memories as well because I've been a fan since 94. Rest in peace brothers.
I'm sure they gathered the things from his house that held the most sentimental value to his loved ones beforehand. Whatever was left probably would have been stored away collecting dust, so it makes sense to give a chance to the fans. The fans meant a lot to Vinnie, so I imagine this is how he would have wanted it. I'm hoping they donated some of his things to some music-themed museums.
I always begin my Sundays by eating breakfast in front of SWOLA. You literally make my weekends better so thank you for that

Ironically, the guy telling everyone that that “Smoke on the Water” riff is played wrong is still playing it wrong. Ritchie plucked the D and G strings for that riff and had said so numerous times.
Always thought he fingerpicked it as well.
I thought he said he played it up around the 10th fret on the e,a,d strings.

As someone who lives in Nevada, Im so happy you said the name correctly. Met Vinnie a few times while he lived in Vegas. He was always a really cool and chill guy, even took a shot with him when I was waiting on him at work.
As cool and awesome as this unboxing is, it to me at least is very sad, sad that all this memorabilia belonged to guys who were only 10 years older than me 😢😢😢 and the fact 2 brothers, amazing musicians are now lay next to one another, forever!!! Great video Ola, kudos from the UK 🇬🇧

Awesome Vinnie Paul auction collection! I actually went by their grave about a month ago and man what an experience. I swear I got some sort of part or touch from him. I got home and could play guitar so much better from when I left lol. I would get that lighted sign fixed for sure! Awesome video Ola!

I recently had a medical incident that couldve ended tragically. I cant see very well atm so I have resulted to playing guitar to feel better. Watching your videos through my very blurry vision has been a saving grace!

Awesome that you got some choice items from the Vinnie Paul auction. It's unfortunate that the glass sign didn't properly survive shipping but the good news is you're in Sweden. It shouldn't be too difficult to find someone with the skills to repair it properly 🤘

That opening tone was gorgeous. There's a lot of treble out there in the world in the name of "tightness". It was great to hear some notes ring through the Earth like a tremor.

I get the thing behind not wearing it, you can say "the last dude that wear that hat was Vinnie Paul". But I must confess, being a hat... I would try it once, get the feel of it while listening to Cowboys From Hell, maybe take a picture, and than hang in the wall.
But I totally get the feeling. I got a guitar pick from Tony Iommi, from Black Sabbath's The End Tour; and another pick from James Hetfield, actually was the pick James used in the last song of the show. And I never played guitar with any of those picks, of course.

So basically, Misha puts his guitars and stuff on sale, after 5 minutes it's all bought out when it had a reasonable price like Mustaine did and then everyone gets promised they can play the stuff in one hell of a shady recording studio with a fee. After a while, the stuff ends up on reverb again anyway for like 150% more than the price Misha asked for it when he put it on the site in the first place? And yes, the guy who bought all the Mustaine gear has the stuff listed on reverb again. The Banjo Mustaine listed for $500, costs now like $20.000 😂😂
Side note on this I'm a big fan of yamahas rgz guitars since it was my first guitar I bought 1990 I have 3 of them right now and every now and then one shows up at guitar center the price is around $280 and I want to buy it most of the time someone snatch it first and yeah next time it show up on reverb for double the price🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

The kicker is that iirc Ritchie fingerpicked that intro to Smoke. I've also seen him play it on an accoustic with a pedal note between each chord(/double stop) on the low E.
