I think the best time to come out is when your independent and have your own apartment and job so if your parents are homophobic you can live on your own idkkk if it makes sense.
How did they manage to make it a sad ending without even involving a coming out 😭 this is pure evil ! Like they’re not giving us a happy ending no matter what
It was a good film, but I swear (asian) wlw films never have a happy ending😭 I know some do, but it can be a rare case or they end up leaving an “open ending”
this is so good short film 😭 and of course just like the other lgbt short film, it's also has a not good ending. Most people who are in a same sex relationship will always think what other will feel, think and say. It so saddened.
as someone who is lesbian I can confirm the reason we think like that is because we don't wanna be harassed or hate crimed, but it's more of only 25% of the relationship thinking like that and we do think about other things
@@alienboy555 omg im a baby gay 😭 and I do think like tht if I have gf one day 😭😭😭 but still Im so scared. Im still in a high school and thinking about making money.
Why is it that all these asian LGBT dramas never end with the happy ending?? It's like they're subconsciously trying to tell the people that they can't be happy in a gay relationship in asia.
@@stargarell779 yes, but shows/movies like this are to spread awareness to the issue, not to show a fantasy. in these countries, showing a fantasy might be even more detrimental, bc it would cause people to think the situation is better than it is and that reform doesn't need to happen. Like how in America some people think that just bc a black guy and a white guy can share the same toilet, that racism doesn't exist
@@samcarmen i get it, but i think its important to show happy queer people too instead of making it tragic likw 80% of the time, queer lives shouldnt be based only around our struggles and pain, and movies could help especially younger lgbt people feel more hopeful about the future, but I totally see your point ☺
It stems from insecurity. When you aren’t confident about your own worth, you start questioning your worth when around other people. “Why does this girl get to go to my girlfriends house but I don’t?” “Does she prefer me over her?” “Am I not good enough for her” those kinds of questions would start popping up in your head when your self esteem is low. On the other hand, when you know your worth you’d probably think more like this “They are her friends, thats why she cares for them.” “I don’t get to experience what her friends do because I’m more than a friend, and Im special to her” “I am good enough”.
Hey everyone. I know I'm a year late, but this is just a clip.of the short. The full short has another 14 minutes to it. You understand more why Sui is upset. And the ending of this clip is not the ending of the film. It's on Gagaoolala, but it's su subscription.
Honestly, low key sometimes feels like propaganda against wlw. I mean, when the majority have a sad endings it doesnt really inspire hope, does it? Tho, this is just a clip. Could be wrong about this one. But the majority of this short movies really doesnt end well.
It’s a lot more complex than that. They’re both right and wrong; Jaewon treats her worse than her friends in the sense that she is not the one she thinks about first: when asking her to just come out to their friends(she’s not ready to do that), not telling her things regardless of whether or not Jaewon thinks it’s important(for some people in a relationship this is important to connect to a partner). Sui has to understand that “showing off” one’s partner is important to Jaewon, she can’t always tiptoe over it and it not be awkward at times, Sui has to also communicate certain wants, it’s not a expected thing for everyone. It’s just an unfortunate case of societal problems and personal desires and issues.
What! Really over that? Oh holy shit that break up excuse was a red herring.. this excuse playbook is used by cheaters when they wanna get with someone else it's like the writers was writing this to farm emotions from the slice of life fans.. oh good grief.

Come on it’s 2021 why do wlw films always need to have sad ending
For real tho, its so upsetting
bc a lot of LGBTQ+ people are still struggling. plus, SK is a very conservative country so this is probably very common there

Did she really get mad at her for having her friends over uhmmm💀💀
I watched the full film. I think it's more that her Jaewon's friends are able to come over and spend the night, but Jaewon won't let Sui come over.
