The reason our SolJiwan never had this kiss ending cause JTBC was penalized just six years ago for airing the first lesbian kiss on Korean national television, they are just careful this time, though it's frustrating, I still commend this network for this bold move of giving us SOLJIWAN story.
Really? What show was it? But this also shows how brave JTBC is, despite being penalized before, they still did their part to promote the LGBT+ community in SKorea.

No offense to the main couple, but I really thought Sol & Jiwan were more interesting and had better chemistry. I really wanted the drama to explore more of their current & backstory. All their interactions (not enough!), were fun, entertaining, romantic, felt realistic,and of course, left you wanting more!
I also wanted to watch this two cause I just saw a clip with them but as I read the movie Nevertheless I'm okay with edits and their moments in yt dont really into main character..

fun fact: this was the actor for Jiwan's (I think her name is Seoah?) first large production show! I was actually quite shocked when I found this out myself, because especially in her confession scene when she was drunk, you could see every little emotion in her face, from the lip trembling, to the shape of the eye. The more you know!
This is the first and only lesbian couple I feel that they portrayed realistically. I've seen many movies/dramas but I really feel the connection between Soljiwan as characters/actresses. Well done. Love it.

If I’m correct this is the first major kdrama that’s featured a mutual same sex relationship (as in not one where one character had a crush on a straight character of the same sex) I think that’s such a big step and they’re so cute ❤️❤️
Theres this 2007 kdrama called Painter Of the Wind, the main character fell inlove with a woman played by Moon Chae Won. They won couple of the year. The first in history to have a same sex couple winning.

1. Love the representation and visibility in a mainstream kdrama. Mine, lily fever, seonam high school girls, hello dracula... did already break some barriers before this tv show, but this one took it into another level: 2. Like how they didn't focus on stereotypes and how the progression of their relationship was a development on both sides. It was surprising to see how their story developed, Jiwan confessing first to Sol, Sol having multiple admirers even though Jiwan was the one going in blind dates, Jiwan giving Sol flowers...It might sound dull, but I think those stuff were really premeditated so that they didn't just take a lesbian couple and make it seem like a heterosexual couple in the sense of stereotypes, which are so typical in kshows and I actually find annoying. Like the main couple.. 3. Nabi's friendship to both was also a delight to watch, her unconditional suport and happiness to see them together was great to see, I would have liked more recognition of their relationship by the other characters too, but at the same time i found it refreshing to focusing more on their feelings and transition from friends to girlfriends then coming out struggles and absurd prejudices.. 4. A kiss would have been great, the 10th episode was kinda weak, and the transition for example from Jiwan being agry at Sol because of her not telling her that she wouldn't leave was also weird. The show focused too much on the boring and toxic main couple, so i guess they cut some scenes out. 5. I hope this makes it more possible to have more kdramas with lgtb representation! The viewers are here :)
Agreed on all points, ep 10 was very weak. I enjoyed the non over dramatic relationship. While the main represented a more toxic side, it gave soljiwan the spotlight. Glad they ended together, wish there was kiss.
I think if they made a season 2 about the two of them and sidelined the main couple, it would be more interesting to watch, because there’s a lot of problems that needed to resolve here, 1. Will sol still continue going overseas? Jiwan could push her because its her passion, but sol wanted to stay right because she loves jiwan, 2. I noticed that only nabi knew their relationship, it means their other friends didnt knew, and how will they take it, 3. Is how will they keep their relationship since they are from friends to lovers, as far as i can tell they were only doing minimal stuff but they are adult and how will they expressed it to one another, that’s what i saw so far, sorry for saying so much 😂😢

Even if it isn't a spin-off, they could give us a Nevertheless Season 2 since the ending scene was quite questionable regarding Nabi, Jaeon and Dohyeok. Also, JTBC had the first Kdrama which portrayed a gl kiss scene a couple of years ago which did get some backlash at that time but now, times have changed. Nevertheless, all we can do is hope.
Their love story is the best part of this drama lol. But seriously it's scary to fall inlove with a close friend specially when it's same sex. I have the same worries like Ji wan when I first realize that I'm falling for a friend although I already know she has feelings for me, I'm glad we both got the courage to take a step forward and confess our feelings. Now we're nearly 4 years together.
They managed to write a childhood friends to lovers trope where one of them has a really bad case of comphet really beautifully. It's so sad to see how heavily censored they were but hopefully this will be the starting point to some more representation in the future.
i love how subtle and pure their love is and the lines are so well written and details well set all these make people relatable and get through ups and downs together with the characters

I think the key to any good relationship is to realize what you have and treat it as special. i thought this was their drama. I was looking at this full drama. the moment i knew that both of them not thw main cast and this drama wasn't their drama. i feel sad and upset. they have very good chemistry and sweet. I wish they will act together again in a drama where they are the main cast.

Kind of rare for a K-drama with wlw to work out this great in the end. Like, ngl, but wlw in general for K-drama sometimes feels more like propaganda that it never works out. Didnt watched the series but just this selected bits were definitely a "short movie" worth watching. Also, Lee Ho-jung is just too gorgeous, like those types that makes cosmetic companies annoyed lol
