      Thank you very much. As for more money, take your time and buy based on your priorities. If storage is a must, the rooftop is the cheapest way to add more storage, then the Owl boxes, etc.

    SWEET build! I’m looking to hopefully get into a used Revel soon, I won’t be able to do crazy mods like this but I think I’ll be doing the GLSS system and a few other mods because I will be living in the van full time. I wish I had enough $$$ to get some boxes and ladder/tire carrier but that’ll likely come way later. I’ve heard the pedal box is a must in a Revel, I had a 08’ Dodge Sprinter and even with that van fully gutted it had pedal/turbo lag.
    Anyways, you have an amazing Revel and I’m absolutely jealous of all the great mods you’ve done, what you’ve done is NOT cheap but you’ve built it into a tank! 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼

    • @seandawnvantures2001
      @seandawnvantures2001  2 года назад +1

      Thank you. Clearly you're well studied and know what you're looking for.
      As for the Mods, chip away in order of importance for you. If outside storage is a must prioritize boxes, if inside, a GLSS.
      I will go over all my inside Mods soon. Not as many as the outside, but it makes it home for us.

    • @TaterGrabbinBass

      @@seandawnvantures2001 ya there are just a few interior things I’d do but exterior I’d do in order, suspension/air compressor, rear boxes, fuel tank, lights/light bar and maybe a rerouted exhaust which would be fabricated and hung cheaper by someone. But interior the GLSS is a must and a larger RR lithium power upgrade w/alternator.
      The pedal box I will quickly get and a tube would be nice but they’re expensive and I think I’d save for something I personally would want like a rear box or tire carrier w/ladder.
      And yes, I’d love to see the interior mods you’ve done. Your Revel is top notch and considering what you’ve done to the exterior I could only imagine that your van is one of the better Revels out there including the Owl Vans founder (but he doesn’t have the rear AC unit which is a must for me since I’ll be living in it and I live in AZ.

    SeAn, how did you secure the aluminum rooftop storage box to the roof? Did you have to order special brackets? Wow, fantastic video. So many helpful ideas! Thanks for sharing your build.--Al Newby

    • @seandawnvantures2001
      @seandawnvantures2001  Год назад +1

      I'm glad the video is helpful.
      If you have a traditional Revel roofrack, you will need to use t-nuts and a metal plate or large washers to secure the box to the rig.
      For my setup, I have the Tanner custom roofrack. The roofrack has a waffle pattern on it. For my mounting, I bought metal galvanized laminating straps (you can find these at most hardware stores, by the L-brackets). I predrilled two sets of straps, sandwiched between the bottom of the roofrack and the bottom of the box. Secured with bolts and then silconed.
      I hope this helps.

    This is my dream. One day I will get it. Great mods. How much cost to upgrade those? And any interior upgrades too? I went to check both Revel and Jayco, I think Revel quality is better.

    • @seandawnvantures2001
      @seandawnvantures2001  Год назад +1

      Revel has better overall quality and better owner support. It comes down to getting the layout that works best for you. If you're a solo traveler, a storyteller might be a better layout. Couples, Revel, IMO. The first mod should be the Inhabit Floor Mat System. From there, take your time and prioritize purchasing things you will likely use every trip. That does not apply to recovery equipment.

      @@seandawnvantures2001 Do you have a video of that installation that you could share? I'm kind of a numbskull and would like to know where I would find the flat bar, bolts and if it's a specific type of silicone and how you put the whole thing together. Thanks

    • @seandawnvantures2001
      @seandawnvantures2001  2 года назад +1

      @@jolynnwinterrealestate8022 I do not, but if you have the original Revel roof rack my way will not work. If that is the case you will need to get some t-nuts that fit the Revel roof rack. Once you have them you can predrill the holes in your box spaced according to the width of your rack bars and as wide inside as your mounting bars will allow inside. Once this is done, you line up the holes with your t-bolt and slide it over. Add a large washer, plus a lock washer, plus a nut, and then silicone. You should be good. If you need further help, find my page on Instagram and send me a message and I can try to talk you through it better.
