Thankyou, Yes these jobs are the quick jobs that really make it look like you have done a lot and make a huge difference to the look of the boat.. Now all the walls are up we get back to the time consuming jobs. Yes we wanted each room to look a bit different so we don't get fed up further down the line.
Hi You 4 . Boats coming on great . Just watched your last 4 episodes while I am sat at home New Years Eve with Covid . Like the fire & your surround . The fit out & finish of the whole boat is great ,you should be proud of it ,can't wait to see it finished on the water . Happy New Year Andy
Hi guys me and the wife are betting on each time you bring the tape measure out if it's " cm or mm 😂😂😂 have a great Christmas and thanks for the laughs during 2021. Great project and looking forward to completion in 2022.
hahaha yes we didn't realise until we started this build how much we swap about. My background is in Textiles, Pattern cutting, fashion and Costume so always work in cm, Ady's background is in the building and plumbing trade and always use mm. Boat stuff seems to always be in feet and inches. So we've seemed to have made one big mash up now hahaha. Its a good job we know what each other are talking about (well sometimes). Enjoy your Christmas too
Glucosamine ha ha, are they the green and clear ones? Another great video your boat is going to look great. Ours is currently in the poly tunnel getting painted. Hope you have a great Christmas. Best wishes, George
Hahaha. Or the red and brown ones or even better black uns !!! Brilliant news getting the paint on. Bet it's going to look great. Have a great Christmas. Ady
I think you’re doing a great job. I’m learning a lot from the way you’re doing your fit out. The panel on the bulk head, I’m told, is very difficult to get straight on the steel build. One side may be different from the other and from front to back. To that end, bits of wood could be used as a spacer to ensure its straight, then its easier to fit the ply. I’m mindful, of offering advise when you’re ahead of my build. It appears I’m finding out useful tips too late for you in advance, and I know it would be frustrating to know after the fact. Let me know if you’d rather not get advice despite it being well intended. Have a great Christmas
Cheers Chris, Yes throughout the build you have to work with each area individually as no area is exactly the same. Also your eyes play tricks on you especially with door openings when they are near the side walls. Even though measurements where telling us the hole was square our brains were telling us it was well out. Funny things boats lol. Always worth sharing tips and tricks even if its too late for us someone else might read it and remember it.👍You have a great Christmas too
LOL, "He used to be a weather girl." You two have such great humour and work so well together. On another note. Plenty of containers in the yard, are they for rent or too expensive? Couldn't you even get a small garden shed for non expensive things like timber offcuts and tins of paint etc to free up space. Steve
Thankyou Steve, Ady has many hidden talents. some of which can't be shown lol. Yes plenty of containers but all taken. We are on the waiting list and hoped to have one before we got to this stage but no luck yet. Unfortunately we are not allowed to bring our own shed on because that would have been a great idea.
