You really need to sit in it too get a feel for the quality. The buttons on the dash are full aluminum. It's also rediculously wide and feels like you're sitting super far from the passenger. The new A8/S8 just looks like a big A4.
I was fortunate to find a dark red almost maroon S8 Plus with only 22,000 miles on it. Hard to find that color. Had to get it. It's my 3rd S8. Classic look doesn't get old.

The Speed limiter in this car is read from the gearbox TCU however there is an option (single value) in the engine ECU to select speed limiter source: (TCU or ECU) and change the local ECU speed limiter above 300KPh.
I don't get why this is called "S8" while it has the RS6 and RS7 engine. Does this mean there will be a RS8 in the future? Or is the name "RS" only for coupe-like cars and not sedan?
The s6 c7 had the same engine as the rs6 c7 so i wouldnt call it an RS6 engine... Its called s8 because its an s8, not an rs8, but there is an rs8 prototype. Btw, there is an rs6 c6 sedan, also the rs3 is avaliable as a sedan. So the name "RS" does apply for sedans
