I am so grateful for this song and will have a hard time listening to it in a lyrical manner! The first time I heard it I immediately decided that I want it to be played at my funeral when my time comes! Dan’s vast collection of music covers, 242, is incredibly stunning and his An American Trilogy that he recorded 5-7 days after his father died of cancer will bring you to your knees by the deep sorrowful pain he shows in every word of the song. The strength it took to sing the tribute to his father shows what a remarkable human he is and how he loves his craft and shares it with his audience authentically! Along with heavy metal he sings religious (Gethsemane), theater (Phantom), opera (Nessus Dorma), hard rock, ballads, and the list goes on! Great reaction. I am from the Elvis, Beatles generation. Many of us avoided metal singers until Dan put out this “Come to Jesus “ version of this timeless song. It makes grown men get goosebumps and cry. I agree with the reactors that say “I never knew we needed a metal version of this song until now. Now I don’t want to hear it any other way. Same goes for I’ll Make a Man Out of You and Angels We Have Heard on High. He sings that in Italian, German, Portuguese, and English. He also does songs in Latin, Spanish, and Japanese. He sings his own backup. Sometimes 2, 3, even 24 little Dan faces singing in harmony. Please do more reactions.
You might be interested to know Dan suffered depression for at least two years. He claims it was a good thing because it made him realize what he wanted to do with his life. He says he likes to do music that gives you "power" so you can "have an epic day." He is also not shy about his Christian faith. Currently he is an independent singer/songwriter. A record lable was interested in signing him and his band a while back, but he thought the contract was terrible and they couldn't come to an agreement. Though all the members of Fearless are still good friends, they don't regularly perform together anymore.
I was told to keep sharing my story, so here it is again! This song saved my life. I was in a dark place and fate made this appear as a suggestion for me to watch. I hadn't sobbed that hard in a while. Dan made me feel less alone in this world and that I'm not alone in trying our best everyday as flawed human beings. I'm not religious, but it felt like God hugged my heart. I hope someday he happens upon one of my comments. If he does, I want him to know how thankful I am for him. As Dan says, have an epic day!

This is Grandma from Texas. First of all Great Reaction. This precious old hymn was written about The One True God by John Newton. He was a pretty bad dude but when he came to believe in Jesus Christ his life changed profoundly. From slave trader to a major Abolitionist. Dan Vasc literally made this into and anthem Somehow it as if this is the way Amazing Grace should be sung. We just didn’t know it til Dan Vasc lifted up his voice to sing. There is only One God who extends Grace and that is one of the characteristics that set Him apart. I don’t mean to get preachy but your reaction really touched my heart. He has featured as a guest artist for other bands and as you saw, chose to go it alone as he was not happy with the contents of the contracts of record labels. His own band is "Fearless". They have an album "Chronicles of Ancient Wisdom" which is their original work and is really impressive. He has well over 200 songs to choose from. His "Hallelujah Chorus" is amazing, a one man choir, also Nessun Dorma. There are more than 200 songs but when he started as an jung boy he sang songs about depression and hope. My husband of 42years passed away last year. I went into a deep depression. Then I found Dan on RUclips. I know his music is the reason I didn't do something stupid. I go to his songs when I feel myself going down and it helps. Thanks for the heart ❤️ RSA

Check out Nessun Dorma, Beyond Belief (which he did with John Schlitt and John Lawry of Petra), and Dawn of Victory, with his band Fearless (made up of Dan, his brother Davi, and their friends Gabriel and Gio) and Fabio Lione himself, original singer of Rhapsody. All of his songs are great, though, so I’ll watch any reaction videos with Dan.

Dan Vasc's band Fearless's "Chronicles of Ancient Wisdom" is based on Judeo-Christian biblical stories with myth. FEARLESS - Tale With No End (Official Music Video) shows what they can do. Dan has stated he is a Christian and put this out for Easter. He recently shared he is planning more Christian songs, perhaps an album. He has well over 200 videos out there spanning years of work; most of them secular in nature. This is the most beautiful version of Amazing Grace I'm sure I will ever hear. I was not a fan of metal music; it was an impenetrable wall of sound until Dan popped up on my feed with this and showed me what this genre of music can truly do. This song takes me from simple acceptance of faith to standing at the Throne of Heaven praising God. My imagination sees archangels slaying demons while praising the Almighty. Dans band is Fearless but he also chooses to do covers only on his RUclips channel. He can sing anything from metal to broadway to opera. He is phenomenal and working towards 1Million subscribers. After his band Fearless recorded their first full length album (Chronicles of Ancient Wisdom) he reached out to record companies but after finding out what that entails, he refused. He didn’t care for the invasiveness and disadvantages to the band.

At this point in time, there are 242 wonderful pieces of music on Dan's channel. SO, SO GOOD! Dan's and his brother Davi's (pronounced Dah vee' ) band, Fearless is really good. Davi plays bass guitar, their friend Gabriel Belozi plays other guitars, and they have a TREMENDOUS drummer named Giovanni Rezende. Dan's and Davi's last name is actually Vasconcelos, but they both go by the shorter name. I don't know if you like gaming. Both Dan and Davi are retro gamers, who also play newer games. David also has a regular YT channel (simply called Davi Vasc), where he reacts to video game songs, because he's also an EXCELLENT video game music composer! He's amazing! His gaming channel is where he plays the games that he reacts to, and that he has helped to engineer, for the enjoyment of his viewers. Dan's also a gamer, and he has a gaming channel as well as his music channel. I need to get a video done finished for MY channel, that needs to go up before midnight, (just finishing up a break), but I'll be watching for future reactions. Can hardly wait! 😀 Thanks again! EDIT...I forgot to mention that Dan, too, is a believer. Also, his catalog is full of songs of HOPE, VICTORY, AND POWER! Plus he hands out "EPIC DAYS" to his audience. It has been a long time since I have watched and listened to a singer who puts his emotions into every word he sings. I have watched many of his videos, and I am convinced he has set a standard that will be nearly impossible for anyone to duplicate. Excellent review for this rendition of a timeless classic piece of music. But, do yourself a favor and watch some of his other works. He stands alone in his abilities, far above anything that has come across music in a long, long time. Just a note, that harmonica was given to him by his father when Dan was 8 years old.

Unpopular opinion here: Amazing Grace is a religious song but it is not a Christian song. Was it written by a Christian? According to the history of the song, yes. Is it sang in Christian churches? Yes, mostly protestant, but yes. Is it a song about Christ? Or God? Not exactly. God is only mentioned once in the lyrics but Grace is cited far more often. This isn’t so much an awakening to Christianity as it is the realization that there is something beautiful beyond our comprehension out there and it will change our lives for the better. Call it Christ, call it God, call it Jehova, YHWH, Allah, Buddha or any of a thousand other names, it is still a power beyond us. Perhaps the best use of this comes from a series of novels by Piers Anthony: Aspects of Immortality. Each book focuses on humans becoming the embodiment of concepts such as Desth, Time, Fate… one of these focused on Satan. On it, the man who became Satan loved a woman and that love set the course of his existence. Satan knows all songs and can sing all of them…save one. At the climax of the story, he sings it to the woman he loves. He sings Amazing Grace. And ceases to be Satan.
Ok, interesting take on this beautiful hymn.....peirs anthony has some good stories as a science fiction writer, but I sure would not look to him for Spiritual matters.....the man who wrote this song became a Christian and wrote it to honor the Grace God extended to him....look it up😊

You might be interested to know Dan suffered depression for at least two years. He claims it was a good thing because it made him realize what he wanted to do with his life. He says he likes to do music that gives you "power" so you can "have an epic day." He is also not shy about his Christian faith.
Currently he is an independent singer/songwriter. A record lable was interested in signing him and his band a while back, but he thought the contract was terrible and they couldn't come to an agreement. Though all the members of Fearless are still good friends, they don't regularly perform together anymore.
Depression can do that sometimes, motivate us to change!
I was told to keep sharing my story, so here it is again! This song saved my life. I was in a dark place and fate made this appear as a suggestion for me to watch. I hadn't sobbed that hard in a while. Dan made me feel less alone in this world and that I'm not alone in trying our best everyday as flawed human beings. I'm not religious, but it felt like God hugged my heart. I hope someday he happens upon one of my comments. If he does, I want him to know how thankful I am for him. As Dan says, have an epic day!

I'm a PK (Preacher's Kid) and have heard this performed, and performed it thousands of times throughout my 55 years. Dan ABSOLUTELY 💯 has the best rendition EVER! (Imho) He absolutely blows everyone else out of the park. I've listened to this since 3 weeks after he released it. Multiple times a day and it still gives me chills and moves me to tears. I truly believe that God ordained/inspired Dan to do this song "for such a time as this". When our world is in turmoil and more divided than ever. People are looking for hope and meaning, and nothing gives TRUE hope and meaning like God's amazing grace!! I feel like all of Heaven stood still when Dan performed this. This is Grandma from Texas. First of all Great Reaction. This precious old hymn was written about The One True God by John Newton. He was a pretty bad dude but when he came to believe in Jesus Christ his life changed profoundly. From slave trader to a major Abolitionist. Dan Vasc literally made this into and anthem Somehow it as if this is the way Amazing Grace should be sung. We just didn’t know it til Dan Vasc lifted up his voice to sing. There is only One God who extends Grace and that is one of the characteristics that set Him apart. I don’t mean to get preachy but your reaction really touched my heart. I am 70 years old and I came to know Jesus Christ when I was 16. You are pretty amazing person and now I pray for you Never Give Uo✝️🇺🇸

Oh Woww, love your response !!😃 Dan is classically trained and sings covers from all genres. His vocal abilities are astounding. He's apparently busy with his own original songs. He has featured as a guest artist for other bands and as you saw, chose to go it alone as he was not happy with the contents of the contracts of record labels. His own band is "Fearless". They have an album "Chronicles of Ancient Wisdom" which is their original work and is really impressive. He has well over 200 songs to choose from. His "Hallelujah Chorus" is amazing, a one man choir, also Nessun Dorma. I got a bit list of his stuff I plan on doing. He is soooo good and I only heard this song!
There are more than 200 songs but when he started as an jung boy he sang songs about depression and hope. My husband of 42years passed away last year. I went into a deep depression. Then I found Dan on RUclips. I know his music is the reason I didn't do something stupid. I go to his songs when I feel myself going down and it helps.

Excellent reaction! I’ve been listening to Dan since 9/15/20, when I first heard him do The Sound of Silence. He can sing absolutely anything and everything! Check out Nessun Dorma, Beyond Belief (which he did with John Schlitt and John Lawry of Petra), and Dawn of Victory, with his band Fearless (made up of Dan, his brother Davi, and their friends Gabriel and Gio) and Fabio Lione himself, original singer of Rhapsody. All of his songs are great, though, so I’ll watch any reaction videos with Dan.

Dans band is Fearless but he also chooses to do covers only on his RUclips channel. He can sing anything from metal to broadway to opera. He is phenomenal and working towards 1Million subscribers. After his band Fearless recorded their first full length album (Chronicles of Ancient Wisdom) he reached out to record companies but after finding out what that entails, he refused. He didn’t care for the invasiveness and disadvantages to the band.

Dan's and his brother Davi's (pronounced Dah vee' ) band, Fearless is really good. Davi plays bass guitar, their friend Gabriel Belozi plays other guitars, and they have a TREMENDOUS drummer named Giovanni Rezende.
Dan's and Davi's last name is actually Vasconcelos, but they both go by the shorter name.
I don't know if you like gaming. Both Dan and Davi are retro gamers, who also play newer games. David also has a regular YT channel (simply called Davi Vasc), where he reacts to video game songs, because he's also an EXCELLENT video game music composer! He's amazing! His gaming channel is where he plays the games that he reacts to, and that he has helped to engineer, for the enjoyment of his viewers.
Dan's also a gamer, and he has a gaming channel as well as his music channel.
I need to get a video done finished for MY channel, that needs to go up before midnight, (just finishing up a break), but I'll be watching for future reactions. Can hardly wait! 😀 Thanks again!
EDIT...I forgot to mention that Dan, too, is a believer. Also, his catalog is full of songs of HOPE, VICTORY, AND POWER! Plus he hands out "EPIC DAYS" to his audience. It has been a long time since I have watched and listened to a singer who puts his emotions into every word he sings. I have watched many of his videos, and I am convinced he has set a standard that will be nearly impossible for anyone to duplicate. Excellent review for this rendition of a timeless classic piece of music. But, do yourself a favor and watch some of his other works. He stands alone in his abilities, far above anything that has come across music in a long, long time. Just a note, that harmonica was given to him by his father when Dan was 8 years old.

Unpopular opinion here: Amazing Grace is a religious song but it is not a Christian song.
Was it written by a Christian? According to the history of the song, yes.
Is it sang in Christian churches? Yes, mostly protestant, but yes.
Is it a song about Christ? Or God? Not exactly. God is only mentioned once in the lyrics but Grace is cited far more often.
This isn’t so much an awakening to Christianity as it is the realization that there is something beautiful beyond our comprehension out there and it will change our lives for the better. Call it Christ, call it God, call it Jehova, YHWH, Allah, Buddha or any of a thousand other names, it is still a power beyond us.
Perhaps the best use of this comes from a series of novels by Piers Anthony: Aspects of Immortality. Each book focuses on humans becoming the embodiment of concepts such as Desth, Time, Fate… one of these focused on Satan. On it, the man who became Satan loved a woman and that love set the course of his existence. Satan knows all songs and can sing all of them…save one. At the climax of the story, he sings it to the woman he loves. He sings Amazing Grace. And ceases to be Satan.
Ok, interesting take on this beautiful hymn.....peirs anthony has some good stories as a science fiction writer, but I sure would not look to him for Spiritual matters.....the man who wrote this song became a Christian and wrote it to honor the Grace God extended to him....look it up😊
