Ahhh remember when 0:55 would delete you from existence? Yeah me too, now some hitboxes are so precise meanwhile others not "looking a you pickle with that awkward tail"
Jason Lobo Some monsters like Anjanath has actually tight hitboxes, but most of Anjanath attacks count it’s entire body as a full hitbox even when in real life, said parts aren’t supposed to hit you while Anjanath is moving, while the others like Nargacuga has cheese-able hitboxes, like the bite for example, they removed the minor damage from the arms shuffle, but I mean, imagine if you’re shuffled by the claws during the bite in real life.
You want to see some real hitbox porn? There's a spot directly up against Kulve Taroth's belly where you take no damage when she rolls towards you, if I'm remembering right.

I remember the hitbox not only trascended space but also time. I once got killed by it by stepping towards the tail half a second after the hit had already landed.

As a newcomer to the series (only played rise, genU, and World) that fact makes the best part of the theme even better to me
The Nargacuga would, in my opinion, a good horror movie monster.
Think about it. You’re in the dark woods, and you hear its scream in a distance. A moment later, you see its glowing red eyes peering at you from the darkness, then they swiftly disappear. Next thing you know is getting shredded by its tail quills.
It’ll take place in a regular thick-wooded forest, where hunters (not monster hunters) begin to go missing in these particular woods. One day, another party of hunters enter those woods, and only a single traumatized hunter makes it out. He can only speak of a giant, red-eyed shadow silently sprinting through the woods, his fellow hunters blindly firing into the forest, only to see them suddenly torn in half or sent flying into the inky blackness.
Killing a monster in the monster hunter world would take something akin to military grade weaponry (a light bow gun is similar to a 50 caliber), and even then, the Nargacuga is fiendishly quick. In the real world, it could flank an armored vehicle and flip it over easily.
All in all, great theme for a great monster

Wow, this is the first song in MHW that I like more than the original. They didn't change it too much and instead added more to it.
There are some themes mhw I prefer than the Originals nargacuga, yain garuga, Kushalas, lunastras, and fatalis

Out of all the Re-Arranged themes from the previous games this is probably my Favorite.
It's a lot more nimbler and I remember to be... It's a joy to fight!!!
Most fun monster to fight in IB for sure, maybe up there with Garuga

my first exposure to nargacuga was iceborne, so when I got to him in GU I was sad that part was missing
i remember looking for narga tracks while hunting it and i saw something looking at me via the minimap.. out of nowhere, narga jumps out and spooks me
I love Nargacuga he's one of the coolest monsters that I admire for how he looks, how he's like a ninja almost and mostly the music goes hard

Wyverns coupd be bi-pedal, but their main defining feature is that their forelimbs are also their wings AND they air capable of flight, not just gliding

i know these videos are years old but if you are still playing MHWorld or wanna go back to it, you should try using Thousand Dragons more often. it's seriously kinda busted, especially with pierce pods it's one of the bow's best attacks in Iceborne

I dont know when i first fought him i thought he was basically the duel blades wyvern, fast but low damaging. I was wrong when i got suplexed by him 2 mins in the fight

Nargacuga does not have a subspecies variant, but according to rumors on RUclips there is an unused variant of this boss in the internal files of this game and it is white (although most likely it was already used in MHR)

They gave him Green Narga's moves and ofc he inflicts bleed now, so I wouldn't say they didn't give him *any* new tricks... it's just the majority of his new tricks were yoinked from his subspecies' kit
