I'm a Yankee fan and had the utmost respect for Tim Wakefield. When he was on his game he was unhittable. Lovely tribute to him. Gone too soon. Rest in peace #49
The fact that it had to be Wakefield to give up that homer to Boone broke our hearts more. We weren't even mad at the guy bc he's just above redsox fan ire
I was there! This was an amazing and emotional tribute to Tim Wakefield! RIP. 🙏
Love you Wake! Thanks for the great memories and everything you've done for New England
Admired Tim Wakefield ….as a Yankee fan …those days with Boston were great the rivalry…great teams then …RIP …Tim Wakefield 😢
Tim Wakefield was the ultimate teammate, as selfless of an individual as you’ll ever meet. He may not have been a perennial Allstar pitcher, but he was a perennial allstar Man!!!
I will forever remember going to seeing wake pitch many times at fenway, with my dad. RIP Wake
Tim Wakefield and thoe others pictchers were exceptional the all time. Good memories for all fans nation of Red Sox.
As a baseball fan, I admired Tim Wakefield. Enjoyed watching highlights of him not only during his playing career but his service to the community. Rest in Peace Wake.
Rest in peace you and your wife, such great souls❤
He was my hero & favorite player of all time. He inspired me to become a knuckleball pitcher in college.
As a lifelong Red Sox fan & a proud University of Tampa Spartan from 1984-1988 ( the same years Tim Wakefield attended Florida Institute of Technology Panthers in the Sunshine State Conference I always felt a little extra connection with him although our paths never crossed (some baseball coach named Brian Sabean cut me when I tried to walk on @ UT in 1984🥴🤷🏽♂️) he meant a lot to me as he found amazing success with the Red Sox & in his personal life!
Wow I cried during this whole interview .
I had all the respect in the world for Tim Wakefield. I was at Fenway in 2004 he got the first 3 Yankees hitters Jeter, A Rod & Sheffield top out to Doug Mirabelli I've watched bsseball now 40 years never seen that before. I live in Dallas went to a celebrity golf tournament walked the course with him, & Derek Lowe I'm still shocked he looked fine. Hard seeing Pedro fighting back tears.
I met him in DR. Great human being!❤
Tim was a Class Act. A true Red Soxer!⚾♥️🇺🇲🙏✝️🕯️
