"Why Are You Filming Me Right Now? He's Also Filming Me Pulling Into The Parking Lot"

  • For this video we decided to do some documenting outside, as well as inside this USPS location. Almost immediately as we began, one of the postal delivery drivers stopped as he was exiting the parking lot , asking what we were doing. He then appeared to get on his radio or cell phone to place a call , then he drove away after he was done. It then appeared he contacted someone from inside the post office because once we stepped onto the parking lot, we could see an individual behind the fence appearing to have an issue with our presence & our documenting. We eventually made our way into the lobby to continue recording with our cameras. Eventually the individual who was behind the fence came out from a back door & proceeded to exit the front door as she was on the phone with law enforcement . We made our way back outside to document if & when police arrive. They were parked further down the street so we made our way to where the woman was speaking to police. They eventually made their way back inside & proceeded to continue with their conversation behind closed doors. As they were out of sight, some of the customers in line began questioning why we were recording, as they were giving a cam back, documenting like we were. When police emerged from the back area, I asked if all was well in the neighborhood as they were exiting the lobby . They confirmed all was well & then I followed up with asking if they explained the law or appeased feelings of the calling party & got no comment on that . As I was about to do my close out in the parking lot, a car pulling into the lot stopped to ask why I was filming him so my natural response was, because you got my attention.

Try to enter some of the police stations with a video and audio recording device or sometimes be recording the exterior of the building from a public sidewalk!!! I have seen videos of independent journalist arrested and hauled into the building in with their hands cuffed behind their backs and lockup in a cage for recording the exterior of the building!!! The only reason for someone to be treated in such an insane manner would be the cops have a dope smuggling or human trafficking operation operating out of the facility!!!

      Well you cannot assume that every person recording is an auditor, I went through a very peculiar experience, while I was with my grandson shopping some stuff at one of our Tractor Supply hardware store, the fucking guy was strange, and he did certain moves that seem odd, long story short he had child prn on his phone, he was filming my grandson, so I don't give a fk if is at the post office, at the bowling alley ,at the Walmart or whatever, if I see somebody acting strange, something's going to happen... I'm just making reference that you generalize " people" you cannot pretend that everybody has the same reaction, people that have gone through bad stuff like that will react different than others, you know what I mean?

    • @kimsland999
      @kimsland999 3 месяца назад

      @@champion20199 But that wasn't the OPs point.
      He said if people claim you need permission OR if they claim its illegal to film in a public lobby, why do they cam back.
      Your story is like saying: I had a bad experience once, SO THEREFORE I'm going to lie to people and say it's illegal (or you need permission) and then do the same thing back.
      However if you had said:
      you CAN assume every person is a public citizen, and subsequently can film in parks, public spaces , public foyers etc. However you do have a concern off topic...
      Then that would have been OK.

They are so comfortable with these willful violations of the law that they will do these violations in public, where anyone can see the violations and also do these violations while being video recorded for the world to see. Not necessarily. Some Police and Sherif's offices have contracts/agreements with the federal government, allowing them to protect federal buildings, like Post Offices. I'm not sure if that city/PD where that post office has such an agreement with local LEOs or not. Just a little FYI.

      @@gydmedia Yes, Thank you. I was negligent in NOT disclosing that fact. The contract/agreement you speak of is called a ""Mutual Aid Pact". It is not automatic as many Police believe. So, most post Offices require Federal Police to respond to anything other than an emergency.

    I never understand people. It's illegal for you to film me, but let me pull out my camera and film you back. "It's legal for me to do it. Not you!!" Must be their thinking

    That post office looked to have been a Supermarket in the past. Then converted into a Post Office. Strange how if you are holding a camera, like everyone has a camera on them, that is a problem? But cameras all over a building recording everyone is ok? Do people not know that security camera footage is posted on the internet all the time?
    When you get these incident numbers, get the police video recordings so you can hear what they talked about and post it along with the audit. That would take it to the next level.

    It is ruled on by the courts that the United State Post Office is actually a service and not a business, no matter what Post Office supervisors say. This allows it to constantly be bailed out with tax money when it is mis-managed. This is why we are allowed to film on the property since it is considered a public service. So when people say "This is a place of business" then well no, actually it is not.

    A number of times in your videos your camera has recorded beautiful vintage cars, and I am always surprised that the owners of them would even take them out on the road, let alone park them in a public lot. [Unless it's Jay Leno. He can afford to take risks.]
