Rise of alliance would be after Lordaeron was ambushed by orcs. Would start with evacuation mission like brood war protoss.(Human campaign in wc2 original has evac cinematic) Uther will evacuate civilians and king, starting with Footmans,Archers, Clerics and knights.
Not a bad recreation of the original orc cutscene for the ending, but I miss Terenas' meek "guards?" before being gutted. As someone else pointed out and I believe I wondered about early on, using Utok as the player standin for this, especially at the end, was clever. I'm surprised beyond belief that they chose to stick with the two campaigns having different endings instead of just telling the story of the second war as it was canonized (albeit with some changes). Here: The victory pyres burn high into the twilight skies covering the ruined capital of Lordaeron. Their cowqardly king is surrounded in hiscaste, and his doom is inevitabvle. Our success has led Orgrim Doomhammer - War Chief of the Orcish Hordes - to elevate me to the station of Warlord, thus giving me power and the command of my lown clan. Both campaigns can be considered canonical. Considering that the Horde left Quel'Thalas due to Gul'dan's betrayal, and the Alliance managed to regain the Hillsbrad and Zul'dare (1 act human campaign), the Orcs had to abandon the siege of Lordaeron and retreat to Tyr's Hand, otherwise they would be surrounded. Moreover, after the loss of Tol Barad (act II), there was a threat of losing Dun Modr, so it seems logical that Doomhammer retreated with most of his troops to Khaz Modan. Remember that the Horde was exhausted from a long campaign, had fought many long battles, and was betrayed at a crucial moment. The Alliance had to have a larger force at the start, and despite their efforts, the Horde failed to achieve naval supremacy (which Gul'dan also contributed to).
Hellscream and his Warsong Clan didn't participate in this conflict because they were one of the clans that stayed behind on Draenor. So, they won't appear until the Beyond the Dark Portal Campaign.
Something this campaign didn't fix from the Warcraft 2 campaign is explaining what happened to Kul Tiras and Gilneas. How come we don't see them overrun by the Horde or had missions where we do that in the Orc Campaign?
I assume the Horde tried to drive a stake through the heart of the Alliance by essentially blitzkrieging the major centers of power. I'm assuming after destroying the Kul Tiran fleet (with dragons) they figured it would be safe to let them rot on their island for a while. Gilneas doesn't really do anything in the Second War. But of course the Horde leaving a bunch of gaps leaves them open to counter attack for the Human campaign. Compare Napoleon's invasion of the Russian Empire and taking Moscow before being driven back.
What do you think, it looked like this campaign was not challenging at all? A lot of your footage shows skirmishes like 3-4 alliance soldiers charging into a 120+ limit army :D
