I always loved Bernard's guitar work in Joy Division. I think with all those decades (sorry) in New Order people forget how much energy he could produce.

Remember this on my walkman,completely black outfit dito hair. Termoil years,but still a lot to discover in music and bands. Venues were pact with colourfull people. Miss these days 😢

Did Warsaw put this out as a 4-track EP as 'Joy Division' after putting this out as a Warsaw album. which is where these tracks come from? I guess they had decided to change the name but I have been a W/JD fanatic since 1978, and I have never seen this out as Joy Division single, obviously it exists but it is strange knowing it is from a Warsaw album, but bands change names and direction, as they did and this is the Primary Source historical proof. Wow!

Warsaw was the band that Joy Division started as and they put out on their own label a Warsaw album that features these 4 tracks plus 6 more. Then they changed their name and put out an EP, this one as the first bona fide Joy Division EP. My comment was, as an original Joy Division fan from the 1970's, that I did not know that the IDEAL FOR LIVING EP was actually by Warsaw, because that's who recorded this. Not Joy Division. Substance came later.
