I would like to say I do appreciate you sharing your coding journey. I also have started my journey of been a self taught developer. This video was such an inspiration for me. I am from Barbados 🇧🇧. Thank you 🙏🏽
Ikigai is such a cool concept - I remember reading a book about it but completely forgot until you reminded me! Also love the Albert Einstein quote I feel the same way :)

Fantastic video. i’ve always wanted to learn to code but i’m way too intimidated. Since quarantine happened i wanted to finally try and pick it up so i’ve been watching youtube videos and picked up my first few books to look over. I’m so down on myself though like i sometimes feel that i’m not smart enough and still get intimidated. Overall, fantastic video!
Hey 👋 thanks! Really appreciate it🙏 I felt the same but there are a lot of misconceptions about programming. Don’t think you’re not smart enough 😉 just keep at it and it’ll all be worth it 🙌🙃

Something realistic and similar to me. Thank you for sharing this. I started programming with 100DaysofCode and now recently just joined a bootcamp! I would like to ask though, could you make a video on how you got a remote job? I think it would be interesting because I myself would love to have a remote job in the future.
Hey 👋 thanks for dropping by 🙏 nice! I hope you enjoy your time in the bootcamp 🙌 That’s a good idea 👌 I’ll try to make one ☺️ but short answer to your question is just to keep on applying to remote job postings. There are a lot of opportunities and you only need to put yourself out there 🙃
Hey 👋 you’re welcome ☺️ I went to Sabio and learned the MERN stack while building a multi tenant app for about 10 weeks (the other 2 weeks we spent learning individual technologies) 🙃
I have learned new concept throughout the video! Thank you so much. Am also learning python actually! Can you please tell me the books that you used for your coding journey?
Hey 👋 thanks for dropping by!🙏 nice!👍 the only python book I have is the python crash course book. But for JavaScript I recommend the You don’t know JS series and Eloquent JavaScript 🙃
Hi!🙋♀️ I’m glad to hear that 🙃 We learned the MERN stack when I was in the bootcamp. But I also learned how to work collaboratively with other people, how to use git and make pull requests, how agile development works, and a lot of other things 🙃 The company was looking for a React person so I worked on the UI of different projects. But for the most part, I worked on Create, which is a wordpress plugin built with React and of course PHP for the backend 😁

You asked is how it's going I am three months into learning how to code via self-taught freecodeCamp. Right now I don't feel like I'm really learning much from it more than just going through the steps unfortunately. I'm also having a tough time finding the motivation to keep going although it's something I really want to do it's mainly life wife, kids, work so on and so forth. Also trying to look for a good mentor is something that everybody says but it's one of the hardest things I think to find. Anyways definitely enjoyed the video and look forward to seeing what you can teach us all.
Hi 👋 thanks for dropping by 🙂 have you tried reaching out to people who are also learning how to code? There’s a lot of online community out there and it’s also fun to meet likeminded people and learn from each other 🙃 As for learning, we all have our own learning styles but for me, the best way to learn is by doing. Make projects that applies what you have learned 🙌
