Watching from the middle of Long Island south shore if you know you know love watching your videos i would love to meet you in person when your back hear keep tight lines man
Fellow south shore angler just here to say how sad I am with today’s wet, grey, 37 degree weather, and how long this winter is about to be. Thankful that at least we get to watch rich slam fish in tropical weather and waters for us!
Hey Dennis, thanks for tuning in! I definitely don’t miss those dark cold gloomy winters in North Jersey and New England. But still getting out while I can helps the winter speed by.
Dude when those tarpon jumped out of the water that literally was a national Geographic moment seriously it was some of the best video i seen of tarpon in a long time. It was right place and height fgor that jump.. awesome job keep em comming and stay safe
Rich, awesome video’s on RUclips. I’ll be in the keys starting the 9th of April. My plan is to fish 22 of those bridges while I’m there before i head back to Jersey. Hopefully I’ll get some good fishing action from my kayak.
Really enjoyed this video. I remember that shark one you did a year back and laughed so hard with that first fish quick net job. Keep up the great work.
"Aw, it's just a jack." You know crevalle jacks are the hardest fighting fish in florida along with tarpon and amberjack. If you're releasing fish anyway, jacks are probably the best fish to mess with inshore. Go ahead. Hook a 40 pounder sometime!
Rich great vid… I’m heading down there is April. Just order more fishaholic Shads and jigheads…. Thank you for all your hard work and for giving all of us a chance to see how great fishing is.…. Keep up the great work.
Fishing your ass off man, the gear, the skill, the knowledge, and intuition that can't be taught... All equals.. the lag time or time it takes you to get a bite on is, I guess what I want to say is you pretty much tell the fish when you want them to bite, that's pretty good.. The ease of which you whenever that kayak while wrestling the fish, plus net work... IT'S NOT OFTEN THAT I WILL SIT DOWN & GET THROUGH AN ENTIRE FISHING VIDEO... OF ANY CALIBER OR PRODUCTION LEVEL.. SO FAR I'VE BEEN ABLE TO GET THROUGH BOTH OF YOUR EPISODES AT THE BRIDGE.. LET ME JUST SAY THAT YOUR EDITING IS GREAT BECAUSE YOU KEEP ME IN IT AND I DON'T KNOW IF YOU HAVE SOME SORT OF VIDEO AUDIO BACKGROUND BUT GOOD JOB WITH THE PACE AND THE RESPECT YOU HAVE FOR THE AUDIENCES TIME & ATTENTION SPAN.. AGAIN, WELL, I GUESS THAT CAN BE TAUGHT, BUT TO THOSE THAT HAVE IT NATURALLY JUST MAKES THE PRODUCTION LEVEL THAT MUCH BETTER AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED I WAS WATCHING AN EPISODE ON TV.. I'VE NEVER BEEN SO EXCITED TO WRITE A REVIEW ON SOMEBODY'S PERSONAL FISHING VIDEO .. AND IF YOU'RE NOT SPONSORED YOU DESERVE ONE AND I COULD SEE YOU DEFINITELY GOING PLACES WITH THIS CHANNEL.. KEEP IT UP MAN GREAT WORK
Great stuff once again... Dave from Benson in Ditch here. I spent 3 years of June in Islamorada chasing the migrating Tarpon run. In a Proper sit in Kayak with foot steering. I have been beyond jealous of the speed and ground covered that foot paddling yaks can do. But I have been pulled by 180 tarpon thru many bridges and the steering with my feet. Has saved my ass while chasing big fish.. Though if I had to do it again.. It prob would be with one of yours. This time of year is different for the bones than June. Islamorada was always hot in June.. Stay safe fish on.. Thanks for bringing me back to the FLA keys. My years were 96 thru 99 in the keys.
Love how you were hoping to have a tarpon on but instead a little jack jumps out. Sorry just made me laugh. Dude your videos are sick. Thanks Rich. Happy Holidays
Two observations: first hook the fish through the upper-lip only, gives them the ability to open its mouth and breathe better = lives longer. Second, cut the tip of the tail; top piece = forces the fish to swim down, bottom piece = bait swims up and it also magnifies the distress the fish is in. Awesome stuff and I am very jealous! Greets and best wishes from South Africa. Have a blessed Christmas and NY.
That shark incident last year was CRAZY! I'm glad you didn't tip the kayak over at that point. You actually got the best bites using the FishAholic Finback Shad and not the Pinfish. Those Tarpon jumps were awesome! Great fishing and video as usual.
OMG ...I would fish there every day. I knew with that beautiful cast you would catch something and out jumps a huge Tarpon twice on the same cast spot. Sweet.
You're the man! What a great day. The Keys is where its at for fisherman. as a teen my friends and I used to go almost every summer. Fishing, Lobstering, Camping. It's changed a lot (along with the rest of Florida) but, there's something about it...you just cant beat it. I hope you got another Bonefish while you were down. I'd love to see you tackle a big permit as well!
Gosh I asked you about that Grouper you had and was demolished by that bull shark from last year. What a scary moment when your vessel turned black underneath. Love watching your videos. Thank you. Take this 100 percent disabled veteran with you for a fishing trip. Would love your education on artificial bait.
Rich, great video and I’m excited to hear that you moved to Palm City! I live in Vero Beach and fish Round Island State Park a lot. It has a great kayak launch spot, is famous for its manatees, and most importantly, has great fishing. Give it a try!
damn my guy awesome video every time i see your videos i wanna pack my fishing rod and go fishing for pikes in the german rivers where i nearby live. biggest dream of mine is to have the chance to go fishing for these badass saltwater machines. must be fun to drill fish that have such a whole nother level of strength.
You got some gonads bro...I remember that bull shark hitting the yak and that would've freaked me something fierce....Not sure I would've went back...I did LOL when you pull those fish up at that spot with the quickness..... @FishAholic you didn't wanna keep those fingers in the snooks mouth while reviving? LOL
Something my Uncle always taught me, when fishing, if something is working don't change it in hopes it will work a little better. You were killing on the jig, big snook, 2 big tarpon, then you immediately switch to pinfish.... Should have kept throwing that jig. Great day regardless!!
Godzilla lives there man. There is a Hammerhead that will go 1000 pounds that was around the bridge when the Tarpon laid in there like March/june. That is a massive Snook for the lower Keys man. Bigger than any i have caught in that area for sure. Tarpon bites were so epic!!
Awesome video and you dont need to go all the way to mangroves to catch pins they are everywhere and especially by the pilings just drop down and they on it
You down and me up, I'm only 8 100 miles away though. Seriously though, looks to be one of the nicest states in the U.S and its the first place I'm looking to immigrate to, preferably around Venice Beach area.
@thepatriotsrage661 Gulf of Mexico now polluted, over building, rising crime, massive congestion and traffic! Florida of the 1990s is long gone sadly!
I know a place in the st lucie inlet where you have a good chance to catch some bone fish. Bessie cove, all in the flats and along the docks of salfish point on the shallow side next to the sandbar if you look on maps
If my eyes were correct in what I saw, i believe i indeed did see a shark fin in the distance behind you when you were taking that Snook back to the bridge. *Took a second look (and a screenshot). Definitely a Shark, very close to you.
Good job man great video, just from my experience. If you hook them through the nose sideways. They do tend to live longer, easier for bait to get water through their gills.
Great day to be alive baby wow!!!! Sunday morning watching this on the way to my spot!!!
Must be nice.raining here in south carolina
Post a vid. I NEED IT.
47 degrees, rain, AND windy in Houston.
Oh the tension when he was trolling a snook using his arm as the leader! The Jaws music was playing in my head!
Your Florida Keys series are always so awesome to watch Rich!! Can't wait for the next episodes to drop 😍
Thanks Chricke! Two more keys episodes to come!
“Oh it's a jack..” I appreciate they give a great fight.

Thanks Jose for tuning in and picking up some Shads! Hope you have some luck and I’ll do my best to keep the vids coming!
Hell yes! So glad you went back. The jumping tarpon are a great follow up to the jumping shark lol. Keep em coming Rich!

Perfect companion while making my breakfast in Venezuela. Keep it up!
Great video as usual Rich. The flying fish were fun and made me rewind and watch a few times, great footage!
Amazing footage the shark video was great
Decent Jack on that first cast. They’re not always the target species down here, but they fight like hell and are fun to catch.
TOOO MUUCCHH FUN! Awesome! Thanks Rich
I love the way you care for the fish!!!
That shark incident last year was CRAZY! I'm glad you didn't tip the kayak over at that point. You actually got the best bites using the FishAholic Finback Shad and not the Pinfish. Those Tarpon jumps were awesome!
Great fishing and video as usual.

Cant wait to be out in the Keys in a couple of days....will be my first time there, hopefully I can get on some good fish!
I used to fish the 7 mile bridge and yea the bull sharks love waiting for hooked fish to pick off, so many of them there.
OMG ...I would fish there every day. I knew with that beautiful cast you would catch something and out jumps a huge Tarpon twice on the same cast spot. Sweet.

Awesome hook ups on those tarpoon man! Incredible
Awesome video! I love seeing u use live bait as opposed to lures. Keep up the awesome work 👍👍👍
He caught all his good fish on lures .
I’m the opposite, I like seeing him catch fish with the artificials. Either way they are both great 👍
You got some gonads bro...I remember that bull shark hitting the yak and that would've freaked me something fierce....Not sure I would've went back...I did LOL when you pull those fish up at that spot with the quickness..... @FishAholic you didn't wanna keep those fingers in the snooks mouth while reviving? LOL
Wow! Great channel! Nice snook too bad you couldn’t land any tarpon. Very cool!🤙
Something my Uncle always taught me, when fishing, if something is working don't change it in hopes it will work a little better. You were killing on the jig, big snook, 2 big tarpon, then you immediately switch to pinfish.... Should have kept throwing that jig. Great day regardless!!
Great trip. Very exciting.
WhOO! You LOVE your subscribers. After that near-miss by the shark, the only way I'd go back there is on the HMS Victory battleship.
Epic fishing! Great structure out there in the keys!
Hey man we are here in the keys for a few days. Hope we see you! Staying on Islamorada.
God I miss fishing for Snook soooo bad!!!! Live in the mountains now and the thing I miss the most are the fishes and biaches 😉
these key west videos always hit 🍿
Godzilla lives there man. There is a Hammerhead that will go 1000 pounds that was around the bridge when the Tarpon laid in there like March/june. That is a massive Snook for the lower Keys man. Bigger than any i have caught in that area for sure. Tarpon bites were so epic!!
Nice video and great day! Any videos of using your kayak lights? Would love to see your setup!
You get the best camera shots bro. 😎🤙🔥

Dude that was a super fat keys snook! Man, great day out there.
Good stuff man!! I'm almost ready to move down there. Absolutely incredible fishing
Yup. Putting my house up after the holidays. Can't wait.
You down and me up, I'm only 8 100 miles away though. Seriously though, looks to be one of the nicest states in the U.S and its the first place I'm looking to immigrate to, preferably around Venice Beach area.
So expensive here right now
@thepatriotsrage661 Gulf of Mexico now polluted, over building, rising crime, massive congestion and traffic!
Florida of the 1990s is long gone sadly!
Killer vid that bridge def holds some monsters
Another great video. Keep them coming!
You are amazing and so brave to come again to that place 🦈 😀 but I want to tell you something… Your hock still in that shark since last year 👋🤣
I know a place in the st lucie inlet where you have a good chance to catch some bone fish. Bessie cove, all in the flats and along the docks of salfish point on the shallow side next to the sandbar if you look on maps
Those tarpon bites were crazy!!!!
That was awesome dude. Makes me want to get down that way and explore.
If my eyes were correct in what I saw, i believe i indeed did see a shark fin in the distance behind you when you were taking that Snook back to the bridge.
*Took a second look (and a screenshot). Definitely a Shark, very close to you.
Yep, he mentioned seeing the shark behind him. Kinda spooky, lol.
Happy holidays, Rich. Peace to you and your family.
That shark video was so dope
Dude , that was some epic fighting , those tarpon are crazy and that snook was unreal lol

Crazy video, awesome.
Putting out banger videos day after day. Love this channel
Keeep up the good work! I hope to be like you one day!
Hellofa nice day fishing! 👍🐟🦈
Good job man great video, just from my experience. If you hook them through the nose sideways. They do tend to live longer, easier for bait to get water through their gills.
Hey rich where can I pick up your fishaholic shad ?
I'm living in the panhandle I just purchased a peddle kayak. I'm really wanting to make the ride down to the keys to fish the bridges.
Only a “Fishaholic “ would again flirt with danger for a good fish…it’s in our blood.
Hip deep in ray/ shark infested water throwing a popping cork for trout is how far I’ll go to catch em
@@843Landbased Man, seeing people wade fishing always creeps me out, lol. More power to you, though. What's scarier, the sharks or the stingrays?
@@nckhed sharks may nose bump you but a ray will sting with no warning , so rays
Was holding my breath each time, lol. Have fun
Sic is right great vid!!!!
