guys... this is about perfecting your buttonhole skills (ie you already know how to do one). i have an entire handsewn buttonhole series: ruclips.net/p/PL_UbtY5bDJ3mOupfpUrCIzP0hcjjhWANO with videos that go over a quick method (ruclips.net/video/EbiJgV-W6Ew/видео.html) as well as an in depth video (ruclips.net/video/B-Hhp3w0v3I/видео.html). also... it's a free video on youtube from a mother of very young child who is self-taught... be nice!! or find another channel.
Sarah, I have enjoyed this series tremendously. I mentioned in one of my past comments how my Mother used to handsewed be.a.u.t.i.f.u.l buttonholes. Your series has reignited memories of watching my Mom sit down after all chores were done, on her chair and sew buttonholes under an oil lamp. Back then, I didn’t see it as relaxing, but now many, many years later when I think of her, I think it was very relaxing for her and now I wonder what she was thinking as she sewed many, many buttonholes. There was nine of use and she made all our clothes..this was in the late 60’s, early 70’s.
Thanks so much! I have been seeing buttons on my pillow cases because it bothers me so much how one end is just opened. I could NOT get the button holes right though. I watched numerous videos. This was the only one I could follow!
This was great, thank you so much. My sewing machine refused to sew a button hole on my brand new jeans I just made tonight and your video saved the day 👍✨
Thank you for this, I'm having issues with the machine too... I have a question about the top and bottom side of the buttonhole, what kind of stitches do we do for those sides?
Idk how to use a sewing machine even tho i have one and this is my first time attempting to fully sew something and my mom doesn't wanna teach me to use a sewing matching so im attempting to hand sew the whole dress, so far so good, its pretty easy tho cuz im working with plaid so going in a straight line isnt too hard cuz all i gotta do is pick a line of the plaid and go along it
So.....you are saying that like I most sewing ... practice practice practice. Thank you very much it is easier to sew your stitches with blue on white.
Also I use fray block on the fabric before cutting the buttonhole opening. (Not fray check, as it discolors fabric and dries hard, fray block dries softer)
Mary Wiggins thank you for the info. I didn’t know about fray block. I’ve used fray check for ever. I’ll have to go get me some on my next shopping trip.
I love your videos, but please don't do this technique ever again. All these different views are making me I'll. Don't know if I can make it through the video. Just my opinion 🤷

This is my go to video for buttonhole sewing and I viewed it multiple times. Thank you Sarah xx
This is one of the slowest and easiest buttonhole sewing vid, I look at once and I understand, thx for the vid, really helpful
The video is not showing your stitching
It would be more helpful to keep the camera on your stitching as you are talking. Thank you
This is a wonderful series. Thank you so much.
Lovely video on how to sew beautiful buttonholes. Thanks Sarah!💙

Thank you. It looks quicker than using the machine, and far more beautiful x
Note..really pleased with how my button holes turned out. Thank you so much x
What about the ends….how to do those?
Going to try this. Great thanks.
Just received my kit I can’t wait to try this!

I agreed... I am fighting with the machine. I will be doing by hand 😉
Me too
☺
Thank you for the refresher of how to do this stitch

How did it turn out?
@@spiritsgivemewisdom it's almost done I stopped a couple days after that cuz I moved my bedroom upstairs and I had to do it by myself
You have terrific talent and skills! Sewing, videography and just the right amount of information, delivered most congenially.. Subscribed!
Should one see air or space between buttonhole stitches?
Wished you filmed the sewing more than the talking.. and like maybe detailed how to do that stitch..?
This video is part of an 18 part series in which she does all of that. If you’re still interested
Now follow it up with marking where the buttons go and attaching the buttons
ahh good ideas! thanks!
My mum was a tailoress and her speciality was hand sewn buttonholes❤
Please show your hands
If u don’t have a lining how do u hide the beginning tail?
You can go over the tail with the buttonhole stitch 👌
Thank you!!!
Thank you, lovely soul.

Amazing

Nice idea, thank you
U are sweet 🎉
Thank you
yay thx
Sarah show the thread an needle heck can't tell what you are doing at all, I don't need to look at you (please )
Lol go to another channel (please)
I don't understand the pearl. Your camera is too close and I don't see how you loop the string on the needle.
What kind of video is this that someone cannot even see the work .
I love your videos, but please don't do this technique ever again. All these different views are making me I'll. Don't know if I can make it through the video. Just my opinion 🤷
Too much looking at her - too little looking at the work. Not going to watch it all..
Hello, I need to see stitches too much of your face.
