I think that’s the main thing I like about these van lifers. Each van/home is set up for their wants and needs. That’s soooo nice! They have everything! My main thing is I want to have a place to sleep, cook and go to the bathroom and get myself relieved and clean. If you have that, you can get along just fine. I wish them health and safety on their travels. Enjoyed the video! ❤️💜💚

This van is crazy :o you pack so much into such a tiny space. I like the table/couch/bed area a lot. Especially with the door opening and the little "window" to the front seat. Having a shower, toilet and sink are honestly what make it livable to me though. Love the wifi setup too.
Some interesting design ideas in this build. I like the sliding doors for upper cabinets. Less hardware install and probably less likely to have issues with things flying out when driving too.

Yes - road grime is an issue, but it makes us look well travelled! Heat hasn't been an issue, as we head up north in summers. Once its in the mid 80's somewhere - it's time for us to move on! Thanks for watching!

Not enough people talk about having sliding cabinets. Also having a hide away sink, extendable countertop, removable cooking range, and door insect screens are sooo underrated. Also I like the Murphey bed, the many seating positions, solid partion, large fridge, blended dog house, front roof lights, compact bike storage, unusual bathroom spot. This is a great van build! What I love about van conversions is that they are unique to the individuals that will be living in them, you built something custom to your needs and it is working for you. It is nice to see builds that aren't the same cookie cutter generic design! My build couldn't be more different than yours, perfect for me, but it would never work for you. I'm always so envious of van lifers. I'm in a skoolie, but it amazes me how well some people can cleverly make less space so much more. One day, I might get that good. People like this are the reason(s) I am soooo looking forward to covid getting better controlled so that we can go back to meeting people out here. Those two seem like they would be quite interesting and fun to be around.

Well thought out and well suited for their needs. Well done! I like the fold-out bed, which at first blush seems claustrophobic, but he did point out the emphasis on the sliding door opening and window (I think there was window there). I'm now calling it "cozy". The shower and composting toilet back there is certainly a great use of space. It might not be possible for a non-extended Transit. I was actually surprised to see the bath and room for bikes, back there. I am sold on sliding cabinet doors. My Airstream International Signature also has sliders that are made of frosted plexiglass, which lets you see enough to know what's behind each door. Each overhead is also well lighted. I am also sold on Transit.
This is a very nice build. I really like the lightweight, sliding cabinet doors and the hidden sink and I’ve never heard of water tanks that fit over wheel wells! I am taking notes lol
Great van design skills. Unsure where breakdown tools are stored. So well thought out, adapting the plane idea of overhead lockers. And all the lightweight sliders, instead of drawers coming out, and doors coming outwards.

Social media is full of negative comments. But it's also a place where conversation exists. In this case I'm learning what people understand about pronouns and getting the chance to share what my pronouns mean to me. Also I'm learning that folks don't dig my diy haircuts. Good thing my hair is on my own head and I'm not cutting for others! 😆
I really appreciate to be able to see other people's ideas and their build. I have a smallish kitchen and I'm getting awesome ideas for my own home. Please don't deprive the world of your experience because of a few miserable souls.
Insect screens good.. but here in New Zealand we have surface insect spray... just slightly more costly than regular fly spray. It's fine in kitchens etc. I give my van a good spray on all surfaces like around doors on roof etc. Close up van for a couple of hours. Then for about 3 months I can sit in van with door wide open and watch all sorts of insect fly in, turn around and fly straight out again.. So satisfying..

While instagram would have us all believe that nomads spend their entire day outside, most of us have to work, avoid the heat/cold/bugs/rain, etc. We wanted to create an environment that felt like we could move from "one room" of the "house" to another through the course of the day. My preferences are either a lift bed or a Murphy bed. I really like this one but I’d definitely have it towards the rear of the van. I often wonder how people cope without insect screens. I couldn’t do it.
Yeah - lifted beds are nice for reclaiming the space when the bed isn't in use, but they kill the possibility of storage cabinets above. With the murphy bed, you get cabinets above and below. Being full-timers, having this extra space is critical. If we were weekend warriors, we would have entertained a lift bed. As for the bed location, having it near the sliding door was important to us because we wanted to be able to have the door open while in bed and be able to see out the window when the door is closed. Moving the bed to the front also gave us the ability to have a large bathroom and our garage. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!
I had thought that I would incorporate sliding doors in all my cabinets as they seem more secure than lift up doors or open out doors. This is the first time I have seen anyone use this in their vans. Sliding doors also don't take up space. Good job guys.
Beautiful build. Well designed and wonderfully constructed, it’s really top notch. The tour was very interesting, it was helpful to hear the thought process behind some of their choices. I would have liked to have gotten a closer look at the Murphy bed and the bathroom setup, but a wish to have seen more is hardly a criticism. I hope they enjoy their travels!
love the murphy bed, it is nice he is spending time with his daughter (who I thought was a boy at first no offense) wish my father would of took me camping it was just him and me at the time. i would of enjoyed being with him. my mom was too busy raising my brothers at the time she was working full time and had no time for camping.
It seems they've thought of most everything to live the Tiny Home Life. However, I've never heard terms "they him & he him!" No shade, to each there on! ☮️

Yes! We love it and we can either shower inside or outside depending on the weather. It's great for cleaning the bikes, doggo, etc.
