Have a 1998 Hornet in nice condition with a few upgrades, led lights and full stainless steel exhaust, bought it after passing my test just after my 60th birthday, intended it to be just for a short time till I get more riding experience, but think I'll keep it a while now, love the bike.
It does keep the wind of your chest but sends all of it to your helmet, not good if you cruising on the highway for too long, puts strain on your neck.
You'll need the headlight and the housing for it www.motea.com/en/led-headlight-housing-mg-7-honda-hornet-900-600-s-black-craftride-a032847-0, once you have the housing its a simple case of switching them out. Just know the the wire loom barely fits in the new housing its a tight squeeze.
@@iride1999 If the frame was ok it could have been rebuilt for under £2k. Would have been an opportunity to do some upgrades too. Like putting on a front fork and rear shock from a ZX6R. Would of been epic 👌. Stay safe bro!
@@ViralPixel592 I mean from what I remember, the front suspension was completely ripped of, the front wheel pushed the headers and put a hole in the engine. The frame was definitely bent.
@@iride1999 That's a shame the frame was bent. Everything else can be sourced quite cheaply. A used engine is only about £200 for a really good condition one. Front forks from a zx6r go for about £300 and would have been a massive upgrade, rear shock from a zx6r is like £100, headers £70. Two new wheels, £40 each. Fuel tank £150. Keep it in mind if you ever get a Hornet again mate.
Wow, the Hornet still one of the prettiest bike ever built. Nice video.
Thanks dude, appreciate it
They need to bring this bike back. I’d buy one
Literally just bought a 2002 Hornet with 2300 miles on the clock. 😊

Blimey! I thought I got a good result with my 2004 having done only 9655miles.😮

Does the windscreen help at all with the wind ? Great content as always mate

My dream❤😍
What handlebars are those? They're a real nice shape, way nicer than the highly swept originals in my opinion.
They are made by Rizoma, you can choose from different heights.
Красивый Hornet.
Hey, can you tell me war exactly you changed at your headlight? The LED looks amazing, but I have no idea how to change the headlight out

And you dont need the supports for the forks. it fits with the stock ones.
Класс 👍. Отлично!
Nice bro
Thanks dude
I think you should have rebuilt this after your crash. It would have been a good project bringing her back to life.
It would all have to be replaced 😢

goodness f*k. that sound
Thanks man
what are these buttons on the left side of the handlebars
They are used to control the heated grips
Try to back off the throttle a fraction as you change up a gear, won't get that excess rev sound then 🤔
Not sure what you mean bro
Rev it hard
damn, u sold ur MT03 already o_O
No I didn't, I have this bike and the mt03
shame for the noise. Stock exhaust please
