    Prime example of why smaller bikes are so much more fun. Realistically speaking you’re not gonna use it to the most of its ability on a big bike so why not push the smaller bike and enjoy it?! Love this brother I have one I hope to get up to running this year again

      I had a hornet 2001 as a beginner bike. It handles superbly, is a good quality bike, but some might consider it a bit too powerful for a beginner bike. Lost my drivers license for 3 years on it because it always begs you to go fast with its inline4 engine. An SV650 would be a better choice for a first bike imho. Same level of superb handling, but more low down torque where you really need it . At lower revs the hornet is anemic and demands much more gearshifting than a SV650 does.

      Hey man had the hornet 250 for my first bike haha you can see loads of videos of it at the start of my RUclips channel, and I would recommend waiting to get a hornet 250 for a first bike and then after 6 months to 1 year then upgrade to the hornet 600 when you feel you are confident and comfortable doing everything on the hornet 250 first.

      Hey guys! I guess it all depends on what you want to do with the bike, if you just want to move from A to B or learn your potential on 2 wheels. In my case, adrenaline junkie, wanted a supermoto to have as much fun as possible at lets say slow speed. Got the hornet 600 cuz was cheap and for someone who never had a bike i clearly felt it was way too much with open throttle but totally manageable respecting the "law", she's kinda heavy at slow pace though. As my confidence built, so did my EGO and i began to push it a lil too much till i death wobbled on a bump after a fast corner and fucked it up. Gadly, we're stronger than ever. SOOO, imo, if you have the discipline to take it slow and focus on learning strong fundamentals, do it. If you know you're going to push it on early stages, just don't because she ain't no barbie... Hope it helps! Ride safe fam and much love

    Hey! Im thinking of buying a hornet too ( 2000-2002 ) to commute to work everyday, I know its not a fuel economy bike of course, that would be a 125cc but is the fuel consumption as bad as people say? I've seen some people say they get like 9L or 10L every 100km.

    • @MoToxicity
      @MoToxicity  3 года назад +8

      It's not the best for fuel but that only if your having fun using all the ponies in the engine, but if you are just going to work and back and not using it like you would on the weekend then you should get good fuel consumption but be warned them bikes tend to make you want to have fun if it's just going to work or not 😂
