It's like in real estate, it's all about location, location, location. The prostate and colon are located in a......less than desirable location than many would prefer. It would not be so taboo to talk and do something about it if it were moved to a better neighborhood. However, it is where it is and it's just not worth dying over.
The stats are insane and what was once your grandad's illness is hitting men younger and younger.
Yet some of the biggest and most watched spaces that are geared toward men do not cover anything to do with these killers. Weight training, bodybuilding, sport, being a better man or manly man guide, style, entrepreneur, crypto, luxury life, travel, earning passive income, dating......you get the picture. And the sub-topics about everything externally but nothing on your internal health. Who care what the best white shirt is or knowing all the stats of your favorite sports team is, if your stuff is falling a part. Don't even get me started on sperm count decline....WTF is going on!
Well, none of the above is gonna continue or gonna happen if you don't have your health, specifically when it comes to this leading killer of men!
We gotta start talking and taking action if we want to continue living a healthy life-span. Women did it with breast cancer (early detection, self examination, appropriate healthcare, media coverage) and so can we.
I didn't have prostate cancer but I ended up having a prostectomy (BPH diagnosis) and trust me you don't want to deal with all that. My life is forever changed.
Cheers and wishing you great health. Tony

Completely agreed. And go to the doctor if something does not feel right. I did PSA tests, biopsies and Cat scans for over 10 years, but I missed that I am not peeing enough- turns out I was almost blocked, went to the ER with acute kidney failure because everything was blocked up and I thought I had bloating acid reflux and was just exhausted. Uff - now I get my Holep done in a month, and my kidneys are doing better.
Liste to this man. Thanks Tony

Hi Tomi, thank you for the support. I really just don't want to see my fellow man suffer if they don't have to.....life's tough enough already.
Glad to hear your kidneys are doing better and that you'll be having your procedure soon. If its anything like what I went through post surgery, I literally said thank you each time I urinated. It was like I was experiencing a miracle. Actually it kinda is.
How're you doing? How are you feeling? You got your head on right? Just checkin on ya.
Lemmie know and in the mean time....sending you blessings.
      Cheers

Hi Tony, I hope you're doing well. I've recently discovered your channel and have been engrossed in all your videos. I must express my profound gratitude to you for sharing your experiences with such honesty and meticulous detail; your insights are truly invaluable.
Last month, I received a diagnosis of BPH after a harrowing visit to the ER when I suddenly found myself unable to urinate. Over the past month, I've transformed from someone who knew next to nothing about this condition into a walking encyclopedia on the subject 🙂. While there is a plethora of information available on BPH, the real challenge was finding someone who could provide a window into their day-to-day life with this condition.
Curiously, your channel remained elusive despite my daily, dedicated searches on this subject, until just a few days ago when it mysteriously surfaced on my feed. It was almost as if the universe decided it was time to grant me some clarity 🙌.
Presently, I find myself living with an indwelling catheter after enduring a battery of scans, including MRI, CT, PSA tests, two ultrasounds, and a urine analysis. I'm now eagerly awaiting another PSA test in 10 days, fervently hoping it will provide reassurance by ruling out any concerns of cancer.
Assuming all goes well with the PSA results, I hope to prepare for surgery. The experts have recommended TURP (Transurethral Resection of the Prostate). I acknowledge that it's not the same procedure you underwent, but I would greatly appreciate your insights on it. Was TURP ever presented as an option for you? Please pardon me if you've covered this in one of your videos; I'm still working my way through them and haven't reached that particular one yet.
I must also mention that your video on underwear was a revelation. Since watching it, I purchased the recommended underwear, and it has been a game-changer for me. It marked the first time I could walk without experiencing any discomfort since the catheter was inserted. I cannot express enough gratitude for this discovery!
Once again, I extend my heartfelt thanks for being a guiding light on this bewildering journey, Tony. 🙏

@paulappleby2729 Hi Paul, I'm really glad you found the videos. I gotta figure out why they don't come up immediately when people are searching for answers. Your visit to the ER sounds very familiar. I went through an absolute nightmare. They couldn't get it in. It took seven tries before I could relieve myself. I think I still have PTSD from the whole ordeal. Unfortunately, so many new catheter users find themselves in the same predicament and then ushered out with no information on how to live with the archaic device.
Anyhow, there is much to cover and it seems you could use a lil peer support from someone thats been there. Email me at tony.alcindor@maletenance.com and we can set up time to chat. I've done this many times before and it has helped because I know what you're going through.
      Talk to you soon.
      Cheers T

Amen brother! Your videos helped me during a very chaotic roller coaster ride, I thank you. I'm 57 had a Gleason score of 8 (aggressive type), prostate removed last year, PSA still rose from .08 to .44 after surgery over 10 months time. Doctors said to do radiation.... I did radiation daily M-F (38 sessions) and also prescribed 3 Lupron injections (hormone therapy lasts for 6 months). I should be done by end of December, that's when I'll be getting my blood draw after all of this-fingers crossed. Stay well and again thank you for what you do, God bless.

My friend, you have been on a $%#@%^& roller coaster! WOW! Life hit you hard and I am so sorry you have to go through it all. I got my fingers crossed for you. How are you doing? How are you feeling mentally/emotionally?
Thank you for the kind words. I am just tryin to do my part to bring awareness.
I had a prostatectomy, after living with urinary catheter for months, and although I did not have cancer, it's a real come to Jesus moment knowing I that I would never be the same, and if only I had been pro-active I might have been able to avoid it all. I just wouldn't want that for anyone so I started talking because I don't know what else to do. Plus I'm gettin old and that comes with it's own set of stuff that I/we have to deal with, who needs a health crisis on top of it all.
      I sending you good energy.
      Keep in touch
      Cheers mate Tony

@@maletenance I gotta say that mentally and physically I'm doing well. The mental part I handle with prayer, family, sense of humor and understanding everyday is a gift for everyone at any age. The physical part I handle by staying active, I work in construction and exercise. Loss of erection is a tough one but they say it may return, whatever just glad to be alive! Stay well my friend, god bless you and your family.
