In India, unfortunately, such machines only give some lame discounts for some clothing stores or, worse, some discounts, which later have been told it's expired even when the receipt is given. India's recycling system needs to encourage people to recycle all their items, and in return, the recycling centre must give real cash.
The ones with the sign are single use, the ones without who are stirdy, will get washed and refilled, both have deposit. The single use ones 25c, the other ones are i think between 8c for refillable beer bottles and 15c for the ones you showed.
In Case you didn’t notice also, you have paid for the Pfand. Like when you bought it, you left / paid a deposit for that bottles/ cans. And now you are just getting your money back. ❤️

We used to have this in USA, now recycle centers no longer exist so we just throw aluminum away…
