TX has a lot of urban cowboys, real country folks don’t like them. OK has some urban cowboys too but a lot less, cause it’s a lot less urban. Plus TX likes to call OK their hat, no one wants to be called a hat. I’ve lived in both, childhood in TX, adolescence & adulthood in OK, the hate definitely goes both ways. As a Texan, Braums ice cream is the one thing Oklahomans and Texans can agree upon (except some Texans prefer Blue Bell… I just pick up two bowls). We’ve got some in North Texas, but locations won’t go more than a day’s drive from the main creamery so the dairy stays fresh, meaning they don’t have locations in South Texas.
