If you are referring to his ethnic background then a large part of the Mexican population would not be considered Mexican because their ancestors migrated from many different countries. In that case, only pure indigenous people would qualify as Mexican. If we apply that logic only native Americans could be considered true “Americans” in the United States.

I have seen Luis Miguel about 15 times in concert, he is just an AMAZING singer. He was in NY, NJ, and MA in a span of a week, and I went to all 3 concerts. His voice, his songs, his delivery, just incredible!! Hopefully he can stay healthy and keep going on tours.

As a Spanish speaker, I've known of Luis Miguel early on in his career, but what sold me to his talent was his rendition of "Someday" from Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame which he called "Suena" (dream). I cry every time i hear it.

He never lived nor was raised in PR and he got the Mexican citizenship because Mexico is the place where he most identifies with and where he was raised.
