These are so fun cause it's the timing of dodging his attacks _on top_ of the timing of the boomerang itself. Fun little bit of complexity!

That's exactly what I like about these single-throw challenges as well. Even relatively simple battles can be completely transformed. The constant pressure from keeping the Shield in orbit demands that you completely rethink how to dodge attacks.

That is incredibly well done! The Zero 2 fight in particular seems to be incredibly difficult to do this way, and the description using creative wording to communicate that is great as well. I didn't know the EX Skill can even be cancelled under such rules, but it's nice to see that it's possible.

Thank you! The Z2 version of this challenge is indeed rather ludicrous. I did my best to sell that in my writing, so I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed it. I'm quite grateful that interrupting Harpuia's EX Skill with the Shield is possible at all, since I'm not sure that dodging all the Sonic Booms without retrieving the Shield can be done.

i really like how harpuia is so manipuleble in megaman zero 1, win the harpuia fight using the ice chip is so easy

Yeah, the way his attack pattern works in Z1 is the reason it's even possible with the Shield like this, so I'm quite thankful for it as well.

Holy cr*p. I had no idea the boomerang could last that long. I just assumed it would eventually disappear or fly off screen. I have never been able to dodge the boomerang except accidentally.

It's possible to keep the Boomerang orbiting around Zero forever so long as you move correctly. Of course, during boss fights, you have to maintain the orbit while also dodging attacks. It's pretty fun to figure out how to do it, hence the reason for challenges like this one.

Even after they fixed his attack loop in mz2, you find a way to kill him in a similar fashion lol.

I will give Inti Creates credit, they did a solid job with Harupia's pattern changes. It's just barely possible to get this challenge done in the Z2 version of the fight.

I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed it! Interrupting Harpuia's EX Skill with the Shield is indeed very satisfying.

Could have use Proto form and self-proclaim to be a low budget ProtoMan. 🤣

Yup, and in this case, using Proto Form (or Defense) would've helped make the fight a bit easier by increasing the damage of each hit by 1, meaning that only 7 hits would be needed.

@@DZ-Three I see. By the way, how do you present your thumbnails in your videos? Also have you tried the new feature called 'Test and compare"?

@@leongyuhinleong For the thumbnails, I just try to find a frame from the video that I think looks interesting. I did try the new feature on my previous video, but for the most part, I plan on sticking to my current method.
