I thought this movie was tamed compared to the last two, but it was Jason Mamoa’s crazy character that was refreshing and made the movie watchable. I felt like I was watching a mixture of Joker 🃏 and Captain Jack Sparrow 🏴☠️ , which was a nice change of pace from all the serious boring villains this franchise has had in all the films that came before it.
Of all the most wild ass scenes in the fast and furious franchise has to be them dragging a vault thru the city and knocking off buildings and cars with no regards to casualties 😂
I have grown to love the series over the years, the first 5 were more car orientated and now it's just like a couple of kids have made their adventures of playing with matchbox cars come to life. I love the crazy stunts, it's like a massive what if? and they survive- awesome! Can't wait to see this one ❤
If they had stopped after 7, it would have gone down as one of the best movie franchises, especially with the emotions attached with 7. But the studio wanted more money!

Noo fast 6... the fight on the plane with diesel picking up the big german guy and dwayne knocking him down will always be awesome. I felt what they felt when mia got kidnapped. It was awesome.
Before Tokyo Drift came out I was like Shawn and had no idea cars could slide sideways while racing. It blew my mind and it will always be my favorite. Not to mention Han's orange car is still the baddest looking car in the franchise
*Jason Momoa, is surprisingly more versatile than I thought* … he was great in the show “See” and now he’s shown he can do comedy - which is probably him practicing to be Lobo..
He was awesome in see. Friggin amazing show with awesome epic battle scenes that take Akira Kurosawa the blind swordsmen to a whole nother level. His best acting by far. He wasn't that great in Aquaman and haven't seen him in comedy but he elevates anything he's in.

I used to watch this films for the cars. No lie. Now I watch because I just want to see how over the top it can possible get. I check my brain and believability at the door, get cozy and just take it all in. As you say, once this franchise put a car in space one wonders just exactly how you top that.
My favorite scene is in Fast 7 when Dom told Jason Statham "the thing about street fighting, the street always win" and he hulk stomps the cement ground, causing it to collapse.
I was really pleasantly surprised by how fast x could somehow outdo the insanity that we come to expect from these movies, and it does it nearly better than any other ones in the franchise to date. Definitely a solid action movie, the best one since fast 7, don’t go in looking for a compelling story and see it in theaters otherwise it won’t be a fun experience
I loved it, it was the best since 5. It’s cheesy af, laughed out loud countless times… but the level of production was incredible and Mamoa was genuinely GREAT!
I know he's putting stock in the Ark videogame franchise as he's a producer with the company now and playing a character in the sequel game and animated series based on it. Though Film wise I'm not sure but I wouldn't be surprised if he pushed for Ark to be a new LA franchise for him to star in.
I appreciate the fact that these movies are completely self aware as to what they are: absolutely balls to the walls insanity. The people making these movies are well aware of that and are leaning into it hard. These movies are still successful because of that
Double-edged sword here. It's good that it understands what it is with the over-the-top nature of it all, but it's also bad because that brings into question what is worth investing in when it can be changed on a whim or how we've seen these characters survive some of the craziest shit when we are suppose to take any potential deaths or such seriously.
These movies are successful because a lot of people have terrible taste in film and are addicted to any and all forms of entertainment. My cousin for example has seen every one of these terrible films 100x and yet he’s never seen No Country for Old Men. You people are the reason why we can get actual good movies anymore because people just want this goofy regurgitated crap.

A bit skeptical after Jeremy gave GotG vol. 3 rotten score on RT and great time if you're drunk on YT. But for this particular movie/franchise, I think he's on point.
I went to the advanced screening on Friday… I loved it! As a fan, I do expect them to be better and bigger every time. So I was not disappointed. Everybody delivered, and Jason as a villain is crazy and hilarious lol
So i read a theory that all these movies after Furious 7 are a comatose dream or something from Dominik Toretto after he used his car to jump to the other side of the bridge and catch Letty. Ever since that moment everyone seems to become invincible and not get hurt by anything (except Gal Gadot) before Furious 7 there were actually consequences for actions
After i watched it, i finally get what the franchise is going for. It's not meant to be great or have to make sense, they're just meant to be a fun to watch movies just carrying the fast and furious title for alot of its fans to see and eat popcorn to, nothing more.
When the punching bag opened itself up to revealing naked scared man running for his life was probably the funniest thing I've seen in the Fast and Furious movies ever. It had a Porky's 2 "WTF was that?" Vibe!
It was actually a lot less ridiculous than 9, pretty tame in comparison. But every setpiece was spoiled in the trailers, and it has the most pathetic attempt at copying Infinity War's ending.
My personal Fast and Furious rankings 1. The Fast and the Furious 2. 2 Fast 2 Furious 3. The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift 4. Fast & Furious 5. Fast Five 6. Fast & Furious 6 7. Furious 7 8. The Fate of the Furious 9. Hobbs & Shaw 10. F9: The Fast Saga 11. Fast X
My favorite is definitely a fast five so it’s interesting that this is technically a sequel to that one. But I am incredibly pissed that they thought it was a good idea to bring brie Larson in.
I had no clue Brie was even in this when I went to the cinema coz I didn't really watch the trailers for it. Got a surprise when I saw her in her first scene and was wondering why she looks familiar, then I realised it's Captain Marvel lol So she's Mr Nobody's daughter. What ever happened to Mr Nobody? The last we saw or heard from him was when his plane got attacked and crashed in the previous movie F9. They didn't mentioned he died so he's definitely somewhere.

4-10 all run together, I've seen them all but I couldn't tell you what any of them were about at an individual level.
My favorite part was when Dom said “It’s family time” and familyd all over the place
Of all the most wild ass scenes in the fast and furious franchise has to be them dragging a vault thru the city and knocking off buildings and cars with no regards to casualties 😂
Amazingly no one was killed. You'd think someone was crossing the street.
And Jason Momoa is the son of the villain in that movie so this is a [belated] follow up to that!
It's amazing that that was all shot practically as well
Bro that’s not even close to the wildest thing to happen in this franchise 😂 that was so entertaining cuz it wasn’t vfx it was mostly practical.
The craziest thing is they actually fucking did that and destroyed like 200+ cars for the shot bc the director didnt want to use CGI look it up
"Yeah, now it's a family" LMAOOOO
I have grown to love the series over the years, the first 5 were more car orientated and now it's just like a couple of kids have made their adventures of playing with matchbox cars come to life. I love the crazy stunts, it's like a massive what if? and they survive- awesome! Can't wait to see this one ❤
If they had stopped after 7, it would have gone down as one of the best movie franchises, especially with the emotions attached with 7. But the studio wanted more money!
I think everyone wants more money bro, skip the “perfect ending” stuff
I love the fast franchise for its simple message of "it's all about family and you never turn your back on family....unless of course it's your brother because screw that guy." It's inspiring really
Wow you sure do have a low bar for what’s good.
His brother is back in the family now...clearly you didn't watch F9
@@Zanza007 nope....just watched fast 1-8 where dom fought for Lettie who shot him and was cool with riding in a tank that ran over innocent civilians, worked with shaw and shaws brother who both tried to kill him and while thinking shaw killed han, and forgave Bryan for basically destroying his family by lying about being a cop. No mention of brother there but I'm sure one movie fixed all that...right???
@@chrisbrown8748 true...and I also love amazing Spider-Man 2 and will die on a hill about how good that film is no matter what others say
Pray for us cinema employees
We had the premiere today , pretty crowded but not sold out , had 3 shows
But the real madness will begin this weekend when I'll run the entire day,i reckon well have it on 2 venues
What an opening line. Props Jeremy. I'm gonna use that when "jump the shark" just doesn't cut it.
I laughed so hard in theater, when you’re watching Jason Momoa play a buffed out version of the Joker as John Cena flies through the air in an El Camino that was turned into a tank, just makes me feel like I’ve been teleported back to 1996 and I’m 8 years old watching The Rock.
The franchise peaked at Tokoyo Drift.
It's easily my favorite and a legitimately good film.
Fast 1-4 is one type of movie then
5-10 is a different type of movie and out of the original 4 Tokyo drift is my favorite out of 5-10 the heists super agents that are invincible fast 5 is my favorite
Toyko drift is dogshit.
Yeah but it was a shame that Lucas Black was such a shit actor
@@TheTruthKiwi don’t hate guy’s fantastic as peewee Reese and in other roles
@@JohnSmith-wh2ob Maybe but he just seemed like a dumbass in TD and didn't fit the part imo.
My favourite instalment for me will always be fast 5. If they had stopped there I think it would have been perfect.
Noo fast 6... the fight on the plane with diesel picking up the big german guy and dwayne knocking him down will always be awesome. I felt what they felt when mia got kidnapped. It was awesome.
All of these films sucked lol. God you people have terrible taste.
That line of killing shazam without even being in the movie killed me. Love your work.
"Yea, now it's a... family!" 😆
Before Tokyo Drift came out I was like Shawn and had no idea cars could slide sideways while racing. It blew my mind and it will always be my favorite. Not to mention Han's orange car is still the baddest looking car in the franchise
Fast franchise 🤝 Resurrecting characters
I was rewatching the series and I can't believe we went from stealing DVDs to flying in space with cars
The fact that Fast X and Guardians 3 got the same 'Jahns Review Score' is hysterical
He is always very soft on the fast movies he likes all of them despite getting progressively worse
*Jason Momoa, is surprisingly more versatile than I thought* … he was great in the show “See” and now he’s shown he can do comedy - which is probably him practicing to be Lobo..
Yeah. He's shown he can do comedy for quite some time, actually. He actually leans towards more comedic elements in his movies in a lot of ways.
So what you're saying is that he's the Hawaiian Chris Hemsworth.
He was awesome in see. Friggin amazing show with awesome epic battle scenes that take Akira Kurosawa the blind swordsmen to a whole nother level. His best acting by far. He wasn't that great in Aquaman and haven't seen him in comedy but he elevates anything he's in.
@@H34rtofFire Or Chris is an Australian Momoa.
@@jonfreeman9682 I haven't watched See although I have intended to for some time. You're right - the man elevates the movies or shows he's in because he has cinematic charisma and talent.
Dom flipped a car over with 1FREAKIN ARM guys also the bad guys went to the Storm Troopers school of shooting and whoever dressed Jason had a wonderful sense of humor
Jason Mamoa was the BEST character in this movie… hes villanous vibes WHILE being unapologetically feminine???? incredible
I see you’ve been on Twitter 😅
lmao!!!
This is an actual scene
The follow-up to that in this film where the only way to stop Dom winning a street fight was to take him off the street!
When Dom uses family to enter the multiverse made me cried so hard.
Multiverse of Family.
@@Wyndamnextended family
@@rediansjchillin Multiverse of extended Family.
But he uses it so much it gets old.
"Jumping the Sharknado" certainly describes this one accurately.
Fast 6 is where the franchise really tied the timelines and characters together, and it's my favorite for that.
Never walked out of a movie in my life..... Until F9.
That film broke me 😓
Then you definitely didn't see dragon ball evolution
The franchise will end with "Fast Triple X" where Dom reveals he was actually Xander Cage the whole Fast franchise :))
I wonder what Vin Diesel is gonna do once he's done with the FF franchise
Because he hasn't do much besides saying I AM GROOT
Whatever he ends up doing I’m sure he’ll have loads of fun
You act like he isnt set for life
He should continue with the Riddick series.
I know he's putting stock in the Ark videogame franchise as he's a producer with the company now and playing a character in the sequel game and animated series based on it. Though Film wise I'm not sure but I wouldn't be surprised if he pushed for Ark to be a new LA franchise for him to star in.
@@Healthtymento I know this is a risky move, but I think he will somehow join in the Mission Impossible or John Wick series at some point.
I appreciate the fact that these movies are completely self aware as to what they are: absolutely balls to the walls insanity. The people making these movies are well aware of that and are leaning into it hard. These movies are still successful because of that
Doesn't make them watchable though.... At this point if rather watch another sharknado 🤮🤣
@@ObiAdeGamingI’d rather sit in front of a blank TV screen and read a textbook than watch this crap. These films just make me disappointed in the society. If people didn’t spend money on this crap studios would actually have to put forth an effort when making movies.
Lmao. This comment section is yikes. 😂
I've always said that too, Fast 5 was peak F&F! After that they go extremely bonkers
The franchise took no one ever truly dies in a movie to a whole another level..
Fast 11: FnF x Transformers x Avengers x Jurassic World
Ford Raptor drag races an actual Raptor while Dom’s Charger transforms in and starts fighting Bumblebee then Captain America pulls up in a Nissan Skyline
They gonna keep on making these kind of movies and there are people keep on watching them, its crazy 😂
A bit skeptical after Jeremy gave GotG vol. 3 rotten score on RT and great time if you're drunk on YT. But for this particular movie/franchise, I think he's on point.
Havent watched any since fast7, blows my mind that this franchise is still a thing.
Something tells me in the very end of all this, Dom's gonna wake up and finds out the last 9 movies were all a dream LOL
I went to the advanced screening on Friday… I loved it! As a fan, I do expect them to be better and bigger every time. So I was not disappointed. Everybody delivered, and Jason as a villain is crazy and hilarious lol
They should bring McGregor as villain
So i read a theory that all these movies after Furious 7 are a comatose dream or something from Dominik Toretto after he used his car to jump to the other side of the bridge and catch Letty. Ever since that moment everyone seems to become invincible and not get hurt by anything (except Gal Gadot) before Furious 7 there were actually consequences for actions
So then it's not _just_ Saint's Row but also Driver: San Fransisco? That's a fun theory, but I doubt they'd legitimately allow that.
Lol and if you have not seen it, there is a surprise waiting for you
After i watched it, i finally get what the franchise is going for. It's not meant to be great or have to make sense, they're just meant to be a fun to watch movies just carrying the fast and furious title for alot of its fans to see and eat popcorn to, nothing more.
Finally, I bet this movie will be the worst. Aaaand I am sure Momoa will be part of the family in part 69
I also enjoy how at 3:38 you cut to a scenario reminiscent of The Dark Knight when you're describing how Jason resembles the joker.
When the punching bag opened itself up to revealing naked scared man running for his life was probably the funniest thing I've seen in the Fast and Furious movies ever. It had a Porky's 2 "WTF was that?" Vibe!
That man was Otto, as was shown in a mid credits scene from F9. He's the one who backstabbed Jakob and partnered with Cipher.
They lived long enough to see themselves become the villains.
Haven't watched fast since 7 I think. But Momoa acting crazy kinda has me sold on an action spectacle
I had a dumb smile on my face the whole time and honestly if they keep making them I'll keep watching them. Been here since the beginning.
Ending just about summed up this franchise no one dies
It was actually a lot less ridiculous than 9, pretty tame in comparison. But every setpiece was spoiled in the trailers, and it has the most pathetic attempt at copying Infinity War's ending.
From the director of THE INCREDIBLE HULK
Funny how Jeremy brought up Fight Club.
Wow
Jason Mamoa was the Best part of the entire movie! He was like Jack Sparrow & Joker combined 😂
Aqua man being the Joker
Deadass what i was thinking Dead ass if heath ledger joker had high functioning autism and dressed like jack sparrow
Fast 5 was the peak. I checked out after 7. Feel like that was a wise decision.
Jason Mamoa is the best Joker we've seen since Heath Ledger
My personal Fast and Furious rankings
1. The Fast and the Furious
2. 2 Fast 2 Furious
3. The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift
4. Fast & Furious
5. Fast Five
6. Fast & Furious 6
7. Furious 7
8. The Fate of the Furious
9. Hobbs & Shaw
10. F9: The Fast Saga
Got a surprise when I saw her in her first scene and was wondering why she looks familiar, then I realised it's Captain Marvel lol
So she's Mr Nobody's daughter. What ever happened to Mr Nobody? The last we saw or heard from him was when his plane got attacked and crashed in the previous movie F9. They didn't mentioned he died so he's definitely somewhere.
