Yeah, it's 50/50 or you stamp the enemy or they stamp you, is not fun play ranked, because the matches are extremely one sided
that's my experience as well - 70% of the games are steamrolls in our or their favor and are not fun - matchmaker has to be fixed. it's somewhat better during off-peak times.
Kenzo getting into top 50 while Arrge getting into Diamond is all you really need to know for how fcked up the headshot/ bullet size changes in S9 are.
That is not to say Kenzo didn't earn it - Blizz just fcked the game up that much.
I mainly switched to widow and I'm getting easier wins than I ever got with Hanzo
How they though buffing the easier one shotter and nerfing the harder one was a good idea is beyond me
i think its ok, kenzo really is a beast with widow, this only boost him higher, arge just gotta find a new way to make hanzo useful

@@elibeeblebrox1084 its kinda whacky, like the overwatch design philosophy was like "lets make it easier to hit ppl, and remove more one shots" but then left the HIT SCAN SNIPER with one shots, and removed the one shots from the the other sniper that isnt even hit scan? what? if widow couldnt one tap anymore id be fine, but its the same issue where if the widow is good enough , the entire game becomes hunt the widow/shields. i dont think ive seen any other character cause entire teams to just full swap comp to force them off the hero.
I also have a problem with stacks this season, but not the way you'd expect. Very, very often I get a 2 stack with me, or more, and they're basically playing with their low rank friend that just throws the game. It's happened so many times it's insane...

Yeah it sucks and we have it worse. We're not like widow or hanzo where it's easier to have a mercy pocket for a 1 shot kill. That being said, we never could 1 shot anyways, it's always been a 2 shot combo. I haven't played much of S9 cause the changes make it unplayable and playing Spam-rat is so braindead. We can't fight pharahs or echos as consistently. Now we have to output all our abilities to get a single kill. The thing is Junk is so over-hated, just because we get the "I didn't mean to do that" kill, cause he's pretty much the only hero that can do that. I hate it too but he's not OP and never has been. They should at least give him is 2 shot combo back cause he's so bad and braindead to play
@@nguyenbros6217 I personally think they should rework it, make it where he has his 2 shot with his right click and mine, but reduce the normal dmg and lower the mine cooldown
Making it less spammy and Moira skill based. Hanzo can get lucky shots but not as consistently. IMO they should give hanzo a 1 shot from a certain distance like widow so that he can still 1v1 a blading genji and if he hits the shot he wins the duel
Or reduce the after voice dmg so you actually have to hit the shots to get a kill
I respect that you're still playing Hanzo. I called it quits this season. I couldn't bear the pain.
I got GM S8 with Hanzo, then S9 came around and I got placed into Plat. What they did to Hanzo and how they buffed everyone made me quit the game after 6k+ hours.
It's hard/not fun to adjust from Top 500 teammates to plat teammates. I was GM2 on Hanzo. I haven't even bothered to do my placements on DPS this season.

Same here as Mars. I was GM4 S4-S8, then after S9 i got placed into Diamond 4 and the new hanzo threw me so off that i came down to Plat 2. I just stopped playing ranked and stopped playing hanzo. Got over 2k hours on Hanzo alone. Wrong character to main i guess, maybe even the wrong game. Hanzo got destroyed and is basicly unplayable if you want to win. If you just want to counter widow then maybe he is the pick, but even then she has just so much more.
Now we just need every pocketed hitscan to do it so they go back to plat

I am new to the game so I am just chilling in quick play but ngl hanzo kinda feels like unrewarding compared to hitscans who have easier time hitting you, easier time applying healing reduction, easier time focusing on positioning since aiming isn't hard compared to him. But may be that's just me lol

They let Widow one shot and get away with it and is far more oppressive than Hanzo, yet he is literally always complained about. Like Hanzo overall crit accuracy way lower than Widow’s. Wild.
Widow is hitscan with almost negative mobility compared to hanzo with his wall climb whenever he wants (especially now with slooow scroll wheel clicks can indefinetly climb), his leap>roof slide often.......vs grapple on like what feels like a 30 second cooldown and only goes so far.... either a ADS charge shot or a weak smg vs faster charging full bow, even partial charging is =/= if not better than smg, let alone storm arrow. Hanzos kits just built diff. Also huge hitbox, vs widow today.
HUGE mobility, HUGE kit diff in every way from tank busting tocounter dive better than widow, a better ult on hanzos end a bigger hitbox
And you're complaining about a handful of meter diff in the real world team fight distance aspect of an actualllll match, headshot, full hp kill, from 1 hero to the next when theyre outmatched in every single other aspect?

I agree it's been very unfair, and if you are on the "expected to lose" side and you're on a lose streak, it's CRAZY hard to get a winnable game as a solo player.
yea, agreed. somehow hanzo is just a tracer counter now, unless they commit to diving you with other characters too. the nerfs were too hard
Crazy thing is that despite Tracer having a 75% pick rate in Top 500 Hanzo still hasn't had a pick rate of higher than 3%. He's just that bad right now.
Haven’t played since getting Hanzos mythic skin in the battle pass, came back this season, went straight to using him only to realise they shit my boy down the drain with the HP changes, hanzo headshots were a rewarding thing, now you can have the accuracy of a god and still not get rewarded a one shot, but widow can… I’m not a die hard OW player but that is some major bs right?
As a last season m2-m1, and currently diamond 4 (because throwing teammates unironically) I’ve never ONCE gotten a mercy pocket on hanzo, even when I hover at 20-40% headshot rate
Matches feel better to me. I only play on one account, and first 40 or so were swings in both direction, but since then (120 more games before the collab patch) I had better experience, on par with normal in the old days.
Also wondering why my winrate on never pocketed hanzo is >55%
Maybe cause Im used to having to go for storm arrows and default to nearly spamming it on cooldown, but taking a bit more time for each shot instead of letting them all fly out at once.
Been mid-masters in this and most of the seasons I've played in.
I only play comp with friends now. Usually we get a 3 or 4 stack going.
Every match that felt easy to win for whatever reason I've gotten "Uphill Battle" and every match that took immense, sheer focus and playing a more optimal composition is an "Expected" match.

Devs gotta give some love to Hanzo soon, it really hurts to watch Hanzo this season.
Its the same thing with soljorn tho. Shoot rail amd leave them with 15-30 hp and they just heal it. Not a sniper hero maybe but i also feel like i do alot yet nothing at the same time
i mean thats just break points for dps heros. if youre playing soldier its the same thing with the helix rockets. gotta save it for when you hit when you CAN kill them. but now helix wont 1 shot tracer. They dont want 1 shots in the game without significant investment (a whole support). somehow left widow tho lmao

rework for one shot I have in mind for Hanzo: HP 200, longer bow draw to like 2-3 seconds, revert storm arrow, back to 250 hp shots.
Personally Hanzo has been the most infuriating character in the game for me since day 1 of overwatch lol I’m a lucio Main and the amount of times I visibly see the arrow’s tracer CURVE to hit me or when I get killed when I was certain I was behind a wall….I’m fine with hanzo not having the same kill potential he used to. I’d be fine if he got nerfed more tbh lmfaoo

That's another thing that hasn't even been mentioned. Noregs. We still suffer from noregs even when hitting shots is less valuable than before. Clearly, i'ts not a feature, and other heroes get them as well (though not as often). For Hanzo missing his one-shot? It feels even worse than before to hit a noreg. Slow RoF, no one-shot, noregs, buggy wall-climb. The hero is not good. Just give us 5 damage. It still eliminates Reaper (he needed to combo HS+melee to instakill, but even that wouldnt work) and Cass as targets he can OHK.
Oh this is it! Double hit sniper machine!! :D okay now you need to train asf to not finish your action even if you hit headshot, you have to be ready to shoot a second arrow directly after! (Or the other way around, quick body shot or storm arrows then quick headshot all calculated)

Matchmaking this season sometimes feel kinda weird. One time I was playing Lúcio and all the team was playing good, even I went 33-3. But, one of my dps final stats were 5-16. We lost that match, even when all the team were playing good but not that dps player. This happened in a T500 match btw.

Yes, I was Diamond 2... Now I diamond 4 almost diamond 5, because I keep losing to stacks and I play alone most of the time (I play support), I have games that I heal a lot but... Have the sensation that I doing nothing, because my team can't kill, and even with me and the other support healing a lot they die, and when a play free, most of the matches are fun and balanced, something in the comp are wrong and fills miserable to play

Anyone else just get an absolutely unloseable game which gains you like 50% followed by 2 unwinnable games which resets you back to 0% but doesn't lower your rank so your sitting at the same rank for 2 weeks?
The balance is all jacked up. They should only allow stacks vs stacks. If you have 3 people in a stack the last 2 slots should need to be taken up by another 2 stack. A solo player should only ever be playing against other solo players. If that means queue time rise dramatically for people who are in a stack, so be it. If they are receiving an advantage from stacking, why shouldn't they be disadvantaged with their queue times?

This season feels qorse than the last ngl. It feels like the matchmaking is just even more inconsistent and the whole stacking problem has gotten ridiculous. I wish they'd separate group and solo ranks as well because so many grouped players decide to play solo and they're easily the weakest link. Being a solo player in GM is more impressive than a group player in GM, we are not on the same level and it SHOWS. They'll be 13+ deaths in struggling to get elims because they can't coordinate with randoms as well while I'm still at 7 deaths and securing elims. When my DPS partner is oike that, it's extremely discouraging to queue up. What other reason is there that we're both the same rank but they're performing x4 worse. That's not just having a bad day, that's just not having your carry bros.

bruh, every time ppl are like "oh i bet you couldnt hit shots before new hanzo" im like 'bro, i could one shot ppl, i was a solo raid boss, now i gotta rail two headshots off to kill anyone but widow". its so immensely hard, and it feels like youre so reliant on your storm arrows to get kills. like... OH THE hit scan sniper can be one shots, but the missile speed, gravity drop, non grappling hook sniper cant be? like hitscan snipers have actually no place in the game design of OW if they want to remove unpocketed one hit kills. idk. its just annoying and doesnt feel right with the character. mid range brawler hanzo is back on the menu

Correction, 3 games in. Immediately had Master Role Challenger players hard diving and focusing me, checked if they were in a group and they were stacked 3 & 2 whereas we had noone in a group so feelsbadman XD

Playing hanzo this season I feel so insignificant. You need to hit consecutive shots to kill full hp targets. But when you hit the first they are aware of you and it is very hard to secure the kill on the second shot. Supports are sometimes just unkillable. Also bc of the lower crit damage so many low skill heros just run over you and you have little to no chance of getting away or doing a counter kill. So sticking with the team is mostly the way to survive and get value without pocket. But then you turn into Spamzo. Not exciting to play. With this change on Hanzo they destroyed what made him extraordinary and turned him into his own meme... so sad. Tank diff win lose ratio is still shit. We need 6v6 again. Buuut healing passive is amazing.

i dont play comp this season, why would i, hanzo isn\t as fun to me so i just don't bother. i hop on to play ow sometimes but just feel disappointed
Sniper characters shouldn't be nerfed. I don't find the necessary reason for this type of hero/class to get nerfed. Not d-ck riding hanzo, I just think the one shot mechanic is important since you're playing for picks in a teamfight.
From the time hanzo arrow is nerfed, his ability to tick off important/valuable enemy is removed. It's not the hero/class fault for being "op", players are rewarded when they play well.
Yeah, a player might get a lucky headshot from anyone but it's inconsistent. It's a skill issue if you complain it's hard to deal with snipe heroes, there's so many things you can do to counter a sniper like counter sniping, playing passive, call outs about enemy position, enemy locking, and positioning.
The problem here is not the hero, it's the community who lacks the patience to deal with such adversity. Blizzard misunderstood things again
Give back one shot hanzo. the amount of frustration i get when I headshot and not kill is not Worth playing hanzo i just switch to ash or tracer

lol there's rampant softcheating which the dead game doesn't take seriously. even if 5% of people are doing it, it means it's very likely one in every three games has a cheater.
i play qp mostly, and it's really bad there, since most cheaters are on newer accounts and have to grind through qp.
they reworked the friend system so they can easily boost each other now and reduce the likelihood of the automated system detecting them
it's hilarious because you can easily dominate 95% of the cheaters with one ounce of coordination and some swaps, which triggers them to toggle really hard.
but while people act like bitches around reporting people, the game will continue to get abused

I aboslutely disagree about what looks impressive. Nothing looks impressive about winning with hard pocket. This is the most impressive video you've put out since the start of season 9 because we can see you trying to adapt rather than clinging to the old 1-shot playstyle by having a pocket every match.
