I am a Hindu, but was brought up in the catholic missionary school of Saint John Bosco, being there I was brought up amongst fathers and nuns , the amount of influence their teachings have in my life is not expressable in words . I was brought up with teachings of the holy lord christ. The nuns used to respect my religion and taught me to do the same with other religions too . I feel privileged to be brought up in such an institution, hail the holy mother, this prayer just takes me to my childhood Christmas days, making cribs , participating in the mass, reading the Bible. Never ever was I forced or encouraged to change my religion , it was always about viewing all religions holistically.

This movie when it came out I was a teen and was just transfixed by it. It moved me and I didn't know why. I recently watched it again and it's just so good. Something they would never ever do today. But, we now have the chosen series, which is even better.

I grew up with music, and for as long as I can remember, this was my Mum's solo in our Church Choir. I also loved this rendition, it was beautifully sung and Olivia Hussey as Mary, she was Amazingly beautiful. I remember her as the very sweet and stunning Juliet in the Movie, Romeo and Juliet.

A beautiful serene song with snippets from the film Jesus of Nazereth. The overwhelming message here is the young Mary had faith in the unknown. She had a choice to say no to the prophecy of the Messiah's coming. But even being so young, she put her total faith in God. Despite the social condemnation of being an unmarried mother and the incredulous confusion of having never lain with a man (Joseph, her fiance stood by her after the Angel Gabriel appeared to him in a dream & explained Mary's great gift) she said "Yes, thy will be done" and the rest is history. Culminating in standing at the foot of the cross on which her son died - overcome with grief. This she had known would come when she had said "Yes" all those years ago. What a very courageous woman! Teaches us in some way to be open to accepting changes presented in our lives. To fear not and take a leap of faith. It could lead to far greater things than we could've ever imagined.

To answer the scribes’ question: No one can forgive all of a person’s sins except God. The reader is left with a decision: Is Jesus blaspheming? Or is Jesus God? Surely, the writer of this Gospel, Mark, is insinuating that Jesus is, in fact, God, rather than a blasphemer!

As a Christian, I felt that none could have been better chosen to play Mary, the Mother of my Lord and Savior, than Olivia Hussey in the series "Jesus of Nazareth" (far and away my favorite version of the story of Christ). She was so breath taking in her presence on the screen, that I truly believe she had been chosen by God and anointed to play this role.
