This anime is very close to my heart. It is specially recommended by a friend of mine back in 7th Grade, we don't talk anymore but I'm forever thankful for her for telling me about this anime❤. @@MrRetlav Samurai Champloo got like 28 episodes and Sket Dance got 77 episodes It wasn't even a overhyped shonen anime like One Piece and Naruto Back then we had tons of anime like Ueki no Housoku and Gash Bell getting mad tons of episodes for average popularity at most Nowadays we have to pray to even get a 12 episodes anime out of a popular manga....

That's love and a good fan base.
yeah.. the fact that they're not even blood related and still have a NORMAL sibling relationship without forcing any romance between them is great.. actually annoying to think how many romance between sibling happened in anime.. it's bloody annoying..
There was a moment in the anime where his sister implied that she wouldn’t have minded if Bossun had mutual feelings. But you’re right. It’s not really brought up again and they just share a happy brother sister relationship

He made another manga that had an anime the previous year it’s called "Kanata no Astra", if you search Kenta Shinihara in MyAnimeList it will appear that he created both Kanato no Astra and Sket Dance

So grateful that I got to discover this series & kept up with it until the end, only have fond memories of it. I swear the last arcs of the manga messed me up emotionally but it also felt so... profoundly real and hopeful? Just like irl ig (for sure would recommend anyone who just watched the anime to finish the manga as well). Encapsulates everything I love abt sket dance & its overarching themes. Love the main trio with all my heart, so memorable & I'm glad that everyone got closure at the end, esp switch 🫂 I'm proud of you man, live freely & happily I keep up with witch watch (author's recent other work, equally as silly & sweet) too sometimes & I'm glad that it got an anime announcement not too long ago, will tune in when it airs! 最初は母親が持ってたダンボールの中にSKET･DANCEの漫画が入ってて(16巻まで)、読み進めていくうちにハマっていって気づけば全巻揃えてました。
SKET･DANCEほんとに好きすぎてこんな学校生活送れたらなって思ってたけど、夢は夢でしか無かった😭
