Remove and Replace an SMD BIOS chip on an HP Laptop

The Laptop would boot to windows all was good, just would not go into the bios. I wanted to change the boot order so i could install from a USB boot stick. Had windows 10 and they apparently used bitlocker so I decided to wipe the hard drive and install windows 10.

hey man, did any problem occur after replacing the bios chip? I mean I bought a used laptop with a bios admin pw and I'm thinking of changing the bios chip to solve the problem, but it's just that I'm worried that any problem would happen later with the non original bios chip (THE LAPTOP NOW WORKS FINE BUT WITH A BIOS AMDIN PW...) Any suggestions?

I’m on the same boat old company one and I’m thinking about changing the bios chip. Have you done it yet?
