I feel like the main reason he killed shepherd was he actually played a part in soap death when he was captured he and makarov could make a deal called the enemy of my enemy is my friend by stalling task force 141 to give him prep time for the bomb in the subway and inform him on there movement which could explain why he said makarov was Kia even through no body for proof.
I think he just said he was KIA so he could "take the win" and if Shepherd was helping Makarov this should've been a clear point in the campaign.

Makarov being alive in the newest MWIII is also weird seeing is how Price ended up killing him by purposely falling through the glass roof with him at the end of the old original MWIII after he had tied the noose around Makarov’s neck and securing it so Makarov hung to death while Price was smoking his victory cigar in the final scene.
Also, it seems like Soap dies in every MW. It gets to the point where it reminds me of South Park. “Oh my god, they killed Soap. Those bastards!”

Actually, Ghost, Gaz and even Farrah said it to Price you have end things before they get worse. Farrah had no fucks to give when she said she will kill her brother and she did. Gaz avenged his team after Piccadilly accidents. Ghost was and probably will kill Graves for sure.

Makes no sense for Farrah not to care though. Throughout the campaign she is shown to be the only one who cares for Shephard. Having small talk with him, saying he wasn't all that bad. It's obvious he has been helping her fight much longer than people assume. He did some wrongs, he shouldn't have ordered for taskforce 142 to die but at the end of the day he helped them and he died for helping them.
I think you missed the end of the AC-130 mission. Price wanted to confirm Makarov was dead but Shepherd didn't even so much as double check for a body. To him, he got "another medal on his chest" and went home. If he cared to check for a body, cared to make sure Makarov was gone, the London attack and Soap's death could have been prevented.
Even if they checked for a body they still wouldn’t have found Makarov and still gone to London and Soap still would’ve been killed.
Task force 141 had already had suspicions that Makarov already survived. They knew when the bombs were placed.

I mean Soap dying the way he did in the new game shows what real combat is like. One second you see your bud, then the next thing you know he’s a body cooling to room temperature.
However, from the aspect of paying homage to the OG game, they didn’t hit all the points home.
Dude shut it, it wasn't realistic, it was bad writting, they needed a shocking end, Soap was able to stab Makarov while they were surrounded and none did nothing, then Ghost and Gaz were just there and tried nothing to save Soap, I'm damn sure they saw the whole scene...also, no consecuences for Price being shot...
I agree. I was just sharing my two cents on the matter was all. I know seeing one of your favorite childhood franchises being destroyed in front of your eyes is infuriating, but there’s nothing we can do as a community except standby and watch the flames slowly fade.
@WJT. It was entirely realistic. Even the reactions of 141 were realistic, as they appeared to go into shock. It was quick because death itself is quick. Everything moves a million miles an hour and then it's over.

The real reason why price exicuted shepherd was when shepherd told 141 to stand down when price wanted confirmation of mackorovs death and price needed to know if mackorov is dead if he survived soap would die if they found his body dead soap would still be alive doing what shepherd said by standing down got soap killed witch forced price to exicute shepherd
I think it'd be really interesting if Graves and Shadow Company were "acquired" by Laswell and Shadow becomes Laswell's and 141's private army.

Phillip graves wasn’t first to shoot it was Alejandro who attacked.
This is true, I don't think Graves wanted to fight them, but once they engaged he knew it was him or them so he authorized shadow to kill or capture because that's the same thing 141 would do

Honestly the only saving grace about Makarov killing Soap in the reboot was that it made Price more dark and colder, similar to his predecessor in the original MW series.
So the reason that 141s word didn’t carry more weight in court is that technically they aren’t a us owned and operated unit, they’re a collaboration from multiple companies for a worldwide counter terrorism force. It was a us congress that was deciding what to do with their own people. Thus the benefit of the doubt will occur, especially against a top rank general
I think the only problem they really faced was the fact that Shepard and Graves covered the who incident up and lost rockets to the "emeny" So, really Graves and Sherpard might get a slap on the wrist.....well Shepard would.

Technically he didn't lie. We don't know exactly what Shepard's order's were to Graves. It didn't seem like Graves primary objective was to kill them so much as have them packing so he and his shadows could properly cover up their involvement with the missiles. That being said he responded with force when Alejandro attacked. Shepard could have just ordered Graves to use whatever methods he deemed fit to handle the situation. See how vague those orders could have been? They both technically didn't lie because they both have deniability through obscurity.
The only reason why this campaign might be the suckiest is because they only had one year instead of two i fell that if they had two years the story telling would be on point and the campaign would be longer and more finished.
Actually, they already had a script for mono warfare three is just the developers told him to change the story

He died in the Og of a Old Stab Wound inflicted by Shepard at the end of Mw2 in the Og Mw3 which is Realistic.

I have a feeling that in the future, Price is probably gonna go off the rails and get himself killed leaving only Ghost or Gaz. Ghost may end up going solo afterwards while Gaz picks up Price's old legacy.
I think captain Price killed Shepherd was because of his affiliation with Shadow company and the atrocities they committed and him holding back TF141 from stopping Makarov

Soaps dying was so close to how ghost died in the original modern warfare just in a different location and a different main villain

I’m looking forward to see what Captain Price does in the future if they don’t screw up the campaign again I hope there’s spin off in the future, and I hope they make all the way up to a sixth game of modern warfare. I say this is because the potentials for new threats that rise.

Shepherd needed to be killed to avoid him getting in the way, he's a "loose end" to TF141. Shepherd and Shadow Company would've constantly intervened TF141 so Price needed to get rid of Shepherd to stop his nonsense.
Now this definitely will not get rid of Shadow Company completely, but it's a blow to them so who knows what will happen to them.
I can explain it for you... the writers had no clue what they were doing.
Graves, who got blown tf up in MW2, "wasn't in that tank". That's "somehow palpatine returned" levels or abysmal writing

Imagine if Graves and Shadow Company are who you play as in the next Call of duty. Hunting down the 141 team. Who now call themselves the Ghost. The Ghost are targeting Makarov and are fighting Shadow Company at the same time. Price I feel should die to further build Gaz and Ghost who can literally start the Ghost team.

Price used to be a well developed character, but in the new MW he just seems like a hypocrite, especially considering him interrogating butcher with his wife and son then proceed to conduct cladestine operation in southern america. I just dont feel he got any right to blame Sheperd as "not fighting for a cause".
I still don't get why Soap felt the need to sucker punch Makarov in the back of the head rather than drilling a bullet through it.
Soap's death hits Price hard. Friendship bonds forged in the battlefield creates a brotherhood that civilians like us will never have.
It would’ve been a great if Price was the one who died because it would mirror the original with Price being the sole survivor

TGR, I’ve been thinking about how now zombies is coming together with the campaign. We see that in the period between mw and mw2 soaps working on that w Ravanov. But since he’s 141 at some point Price would’ve had to approve that as his superior officer. Maybe after Makarov is taken down, there’s could still be the zombie threat. That or since this is in 2023 after Makarov maybe it goes from him to Menendez and 141 would be working on intel from the Blackops characters, maybe even operating with them? Just a thought but id love to see a theory video on something like this

i can see Price shooting shepherd for the sake of getting rid of him and turning attention back to shadow company for what happened in MW2 since more than likely the US will go after shadow company for killing shepherd. i think its a classic case of two birds one stone
I really felt the loss price felt from soap dying because we used soap entirely in MW2 so players have developed a connection with the character.

Yeah....not really, not as close as the connection we had with Soap on the og, we controled him as a rookie, we saw him come back as a Captain years later, a pro, and then on his 3rd game appearing we saw him die, we even saw Price breaking down, screaming in panic trying to make the impossible and make him back to life...the new ones on the other hand... we just had him in 2 games, 2 mediocre games, he stood the same all the time we knew him, and he was so useless on this MW3.
Something funny and this is just me,looking at around 1:12 and hearing price convince soap to spare him,you can see the light shine off his face,kinda signifying what was to come,it’s a animated detail but it’s also really cool if someone maybe interpreted it that way

Honestly if you place the running away sound from Scooby-doo with the laugh affect to Makarov in that scene it will feel as if it’s a cartoon.

My theory on Price killing Shepherd goes back to what he told Shepherd in MW2 when he told Shepherd to call off his shadow or after his done with Graves he was going after Shepherd hints the reason he told Shepherd in MW3 I've been looking for you

My theory of why Price killed Shepherd is not because of this story instead the mw4 story where Shepherd likely work with Makarov or something worse for his “greater good” which caused either Gaz or Ghost to get killed in the process and so Price and Kate had it enough and the gloves are all off soo all of it ended up in that post credits

Honestly Price should’ve been the one to died and not Soap. It was a repeated character death and too predictable. Would’ve been way better when Price was killed and Makarov taunt Soap by saying “You should’ve killed back in Verdansk. Now your beloved Captain Price is dead” and then escapes.
