I want to show my appreciation to the two lads who run this show. It is absolutely brilliant and reaches out to people like me who have struggled with active addiction for years. Great people on the show every week giving their insight into the life they led and how they overcame their issues. As for John lonergan he is a brilliant man whose emphasis is on self discipline and treating people the way u like to be treated yourself. Thank you.

John gave a talk at my secondary school at our graduation in 2013. He is a very progressive thinking man. A credit to this country.

Superb interview, John Lonergan is possibly thee most best interviewer of 2020. Honest, humble and breathtaking. I am not long back from The Female Prison The Dochas , a Sincere thanks to Patricia N Kelleher whom gave me a very professional insight with the co-ordinance of UCC ACE/Continuing my education of MY L8 Degree of Social Science Youth & Community Officer.

Another inspiring podcast. A couple of my lads were in the joy same time as John a man way ahead of his time, if only the powers that be would have the sense to learn from his philosophy, simple.... Kindness, humanity

I have met John a few times he opened Lisheens House Suicide Prevention Wellness Centre in Skibbereen and he gave an inspirational speech. I believe giving people hope and support is vital for young people making the transition to second level and especially for children who have suffered a trauma. Congratulations on your show. Talk is fantastic to be able to talk about you and your story is powerful.

When he talks about being kind and helpful it is true, thats how he was. If he could do something for you he would, i never saw him disrespected by a single prisoner.

John broke the conception here in Dublin amongst prisoners that all screws were the 'enemy'.
That alone is a great legacy to leave.
You won't hear a bad word uttered about John Lonergan here in the capital.
His humanity, decency and respect shone through and his good deeds will be remembered by so many until their dying day.
John Lonergan you are a top man.

Brilliant episode lads! The three of ye speak my language when it comes to having a perspective on how the vulnerable are the way they are. I have always been told that me being kind to those in a dark place is a bad thing and understanding the causes, as John said is me making excuses! I agree with John in the sense that if you don't look at the causes of these dark situations that people would be put in, there will never be any solutions, the people affected will never understand that there are other ways of dealing the cards they have been dealt with from possibly a young age or from another stage in their lives. Prison/mental heath/addiction etc. can happen to ANYONE! 💐💐💐
