Underrated vehicle, Ive always liked them, just build quality wasnt great. I would buy one💪
I love mine but a biggest pet peeve of mine is that the entire interior of them is plastic except the seats and the wheel.
I dreamt about a scenario of someone driving a lancia ypsilon got wrecked and attacked by car ultra freaks which later equipped with mid mounted caliber SRT4 motor and 4WD conversion, ala Lamborghini Huracan.
I have the 09 and love it might just rebuild it one day to keep it longer

Love my caliber, currently runs mid 11s in quarter and is neck and neck on highway pulls with a hellcat. Still on stock engine. Its beautiful ugly. I love the look of it!

Dodge Caliber SRT4 has the World Engine and Dodge Neon SRT4 has the Chrysler EDV engine.
I just wish that they would have had the EDV instead of the World Engine even though the World Engine comes with bigger turbo than the EDV.
i always loved the csrt too, and this video helped me decide to try and find one to test drive. i ended up buying a 2008 with 50k miles a month later. absolutely love it. i went from a mk5 gti with a ko4 and some other goodies and this thing surprised the shit out of me for how quick it was bone stock. that... and 3rd gear goes to 95mph i believe. un real.
I have had 3 NSRT4 and now I have a 2009 CSRT4 with MS1K and I love driving the Caliber.
I was shocked at how good this car was. Sooo much fun, especially for the price.

What did you have to do? Is it a non interference motor?
mine just jumped the timing, but i've replaced everything else on it, what else can go wrong? X D
@@danf7653 yes it is considered a non interference motor, however there is a small percentage of this motor that the valves can contact the pistons if it does jump time. It happens when too much carbon builds up on the pistons and valves when it jumps time they make contact. 4 intake valves were bent.

It's fine bub we all learn right? The single best thing about the Caliber is the Transmisson. The getrag 6 speed is great, once you install a LSD.
I'm at the point where i cannot do much more then a fuel system, (built motor sleeved, AGP Zeta big turbo kit)
Sometime's i wonder why i put so much money into a FWD but then i think how many CSRT4's do you come by?
Could be wrong, but I think the caliber SRT4 has VVT, but the neon SRT4 does not

@@brothasgrge3533 I have the Mopar stage 1 PCM tune, 577 injectors upgraded intercooler aftermarket HKS blow off valve and custom-made exhaust, I'm going to get the DiabloSport tuner so I can do about 20 lb of boost
