Interestingly enough, Custom Dualie Squelchers are super popular in competitive turf war. While many anchor weapons like chargers and splatlings lack the flexibility to paint and push forward while providing jumps, Custom Dualie Squelchers’ long range, kiting capabilities, and beakons provide all the defense a turf war team needs, while giving a reasonable amount of paint. Finally, the Super Chumps provide a significant amount of last minute paint in the enemy base that can really decide a match.
I love playing DS, yeah its damage and ink efficiency are sometimes obnoxious to work around but the mobility + range is the pure reason why I mained it. (also splat bomb)
The biggest problems with Dualie Squelchers are still its unreverted MPU fighting and ink consumption nerfs that makes it difficult for it to work on its own. 30 damage could be good but the nerfs need to be reverted before anything. If third kits are coming, giving it Auto/Sensor with Storm/Cooler would give it a good support playstyle.
tbh i'd prefer wail over storm here because the 0.7 dmg/frame would help more than the 0.4 dmg/frame and the healing wouldn't help ds very much also please give me torpedo cooler nintendo :))))
@@flame_fearlessi think the healing would be amazing for squelchies. You could easily use your mobility to back off, heal, and come back in, and the fact that you are difficult to hit would allow for some healing mid fight.
dodge rolling into enemy ink would stop the heal though, and if you’re able to back off from a fight for the healing, then you would’ve healed at the same speed if you stayed in swim form + it would’ve been a pretty bad storm placement edit: love it when YT replies don’t work !!
@@flame_fearless i'm not toi familiar with dualie squelcher gear, how much ink res would it run? Because it increases the amount of tine before you take damage from enemy ink - and shooting while in storm would cover your feet pretty well.
@@FinnishArsonist I often only see 1-2 subs ink res on ds, the buffer frames would be nice but I haven’t been able to confirm whether the buffer frames actually let you keep healing or if they make you stop healing bc you’d ordinarily be taking some damage, so tbh I don’t know lol

ive been maining this thing since late s2 and i have been praying for any sort of buff because this thing deserves it so much after how much it got nerfed cuz of mpu, im convinced the devs hate it for no good reason especially after buffing nzap/dynamo pfs but leaving cds at 210
It's wild to me that dualie squelchers were such a sleeper pick, but having stronger Big Bubbler and a meta that encourages strategy definitely is starting to bring back the skirmish role in comps. I am wishing they gave the custom ink mine/big bubbler as the mine has reasonable synergy with 28 dmg weapons compared to 3 shots. Big Bubbler is just a better Beakon on a weapon already disregarding it's special.
I’m honestly genuinely curious on something. What would be the “dream comp” for a Tri-Stringer? Let’s say… the Vanilla kit for the Killer Wail’s global displacement. (Sorry, I just really enjoy it and it reminds me of Usopp from One Piece)
I think decav needs a less forgiving hitbox. Duelie squelcher is fun af tho. Although every wepon I like playing has the same (or close enough to) range tho. (Namely pro,h-3,96,squeezer,squelcher duelies.) Pro
Absurd question: how good is cds, pencil, red nzap, bamboo mk2? Three chumps and additionally a special that gives 100% special saver. Is chumps spam a legitimate strat? (assuming we are gonna get more short range weapons with chumps besides nzap)
