First a Robot now a weasel. Gunn is making me feel for characters I had no clue about. A simple connection between the weasel and some kids had me gripped. I can't wait to see the relationships between Clark and Lois, Clark and Jimmy, Clark and Kara.

This show definitely has that DC animation magic that gives a lot of depth and emotion to lesser known characters. The writing for Weasel is very reminiscent of how the DCAU wrote their villains, making them sympathetic and giving them relatable feelings and motivations. It reminds me a bit of how Justice League made Solomon Grundy a very sympathetic character and made you feel sad for a bog zombie.
I think the lawyer is the other little girl too. There's a reason they had the dark haired girl running away, when the neighbour entered the house, and presumably she survived.

What a mix of tones! Loved the hilarious scene of Flag and Frankenstein. But that ending was just gut wrenching. Started to tear up a bit. Gunn really excels at bringing the humanity to animal supes. Also love the detail of Weasel’s eyes normalizing when he’s focused or in intense situations.
felt a little too ACAB... could have made it more complex but they shot directly at her and let her die, watching rubble fall on her... Each episode has had some type of political message but that one was pretty harsh

They see what looks to be a rabid humanoid animal dragging a helpless child through fire, and the placed 911 call tells them that weasel is the cause. This isn’t even ACAB, this is just a situation that plays out true to the context it set up. ACAB is true, yes, but that’s not the message here. The message here is how easy it is to misconstrue a situation based on perspective.

I think Weasel's lawyer is the girl that was going to get help both are color coded purple. The girl that died had a close resemblance to the princes which is why he so aggressively went after Circe in the previous episode.
The bride defending Nina in the lunchroom.. and then Phosphorous giving her the food. Despite them being monsters, you really feel the camaraderie between the members of the team.. and then Nina putting her hand on Weasel while he’s dreaming. The fact that they all seem to like each other is awesome.
I think one of the most surprising things about this show for me is just how fantastic of a performance Frank Grillo is giving, ive always liked him, but this is a legit A level starring role and he is clearly loving it and giving it his all

I knew the moment Weasel was brought back that James Gunn was going to give him a tragic backstory. What I didn’t realize is what a gut punch it would be. This man has made me shed tears over a raccoon and now a weasel lol. Also, I’m now just realizing the song choice for the trailer basically laid out exactly what this series was going to be about: individuals that society has deemed “monsters” without examining their pasts and the situations that brought them to where they are. They were misunderstood.
I love the use of the song "Hjerteknuser" in the end. The way it just slowly comes in as that Blue girl is comforting Weasel. It's a very nice and somber song that I think suits the scene well.

Holy crap , that episode was amazing. They just made us care for an ugly derpy rabbies esque weasel wolf in like 10 min of screen time. So much emotion felt, I was at the gym and I had the urge to go home and cuddle with my dog 😢

The little blond girl looked like a younger version of the princess and the boy that offered the apple to Weasel at the beginning looking like the guy talking to Waller and Flag Sr. later on. Perhaps the princess(if the girl was the princess and the boy who fed the apple to Weasel) and the boy survived the fire with severe burns and now as adults they have makeup to cover up the scars?

Weasel is why I started loving monster based characters. We fear them but let them show some kind of humanity or empathy and we see them as people who are misunderstand. For me it started with Blade, then Werewolf by Night, Hulk, The Thing, and Kaiju no 8. I was so pissed at those cops man😡😫!

Holy crap , that episode was amazing. They just made us care for an ugly derpy rabbies esque weasel wolf in like 10 min of screen time. So much emotion felt, I was at the gym and I had the urge to go home and cuddle with my dog 😢
Watching the episode gave me a literal flashback moment, my mind went back to The Suicide Squad and hearing that dude say, "He's not a werewolf! He's a weasel! He's harmless, well not harmless... he killed 27 children, but we got him to agree to this... i think?"

I believe most of the kids died in the basement. The little blond girl looked like a younger version of the princess and the boy that offered the apple to Weasel at the beginning looking like the guy talking to Waller and Flag Sr. later on. Perhaps the princess(if the girl was the princess and the boy who fed the apple to Weasel) and the boy survived the fire with severe burns and now as adults they have makeup to cover up the scars?
