I was a milk laddie with Geordie Frame from 1962 to 1964, Bert Boyd and Alan Watson were the main people I worked with but I did a lot of deliveries with Geordie, I can testify to his slow driving, he was a real character I remember one Friday night in winter, as we know winters in Shotts are F F F freezing cold, at the end of the shift Geordie stopped and bought two fish suppers, it was the best fish supper I ever tasted, Geordie put his on his knee and started driving, he had a bad habit of turning to face you as he spoke, this combined with the attention he was giving his fish supper made it a scary drive. Anyway nothing happened, life was different then, not better or worse just pleasantly different.
Loved this. Great videos. Geordie Frame always delivered our milk. My mum always sang his praises as he used to give free eggs out to families with kids. Lovely man and a true Shotts legend.
I remember Geordie well ,he was some character, well loved by Shotts people no matter the weather you always got your milk . Thanks for posting brought back great memories.
