Thank you so much! Disclaimer: I'm not a barber. My mom was a hairdresser growing up and she's cut the whole family's hair in the kitchen, I am talking great great grandparents down to me and my cousins. She can't do it anymore and is low income these days. She can't afford to go get her own hair done after all she's done for us. That's how I ended up stepping in for my family in her footprints. My sister, her man, and their 8 kids, one of my cousins, my daughter, everyone is in my kitchen now trusting me with clippers. 😆 I have studied and learned so much but I'm not prefect and I'm certainly no pro. I just want my family looking and feeling good about themselves, especially the kids and my momma. Thank you so much for giving us this video. It connects a couple dots that will really improve my skillset. I know I'm not your intended audience and it's not ideal, but you helped me take care of my family better with this video. Thank you for this. Be blessed.
I finished school in may and have been working a little since. I can not tell you how much time ive put into your videos.and i can definitely tell you're putting in 20 times the work than the video shows. You have helped so much! I appreciate you and your time man! You're the best. I have such a hard time with confidence in myself and your tips and tricks are helping that department so much!
Ive got in trouble as a kid and sentenced to prison, they assigned me the barber position and I got out and started pursuing barbering. Your videos motivate me and really help in all the areas I have questions in. You're teaching has improved my skills alot and my teacher/ shop owner has noticed a lot from what I also learn from you. Thanks for being an inspiration!
Bro your vids are amazing. I’ve watched all youtube barbers and yours are by far the best you explain things better and say things that other barbers leave out. Keep em coming and we appreciate you!
You have no idea how much it means to know that even someone like you who is 1000 times better than me at cutting hair does drop their comb sometimes as well.
That is a great cut. I just finished school in Oct I take my written test the 31 of May. Just wanna add I am 59 😊 and female. I love this profession only wish I would have started in my 20 lol. I am struggling a bit, not sure why 😮 fear I am always scared. I am a level 1 Barber at my shop my cuts are $20.00 and I take too long. I really need to figure out where my problem is. I have bills to pay lol finding you just today has been a blessing. Thank you for sharing your talent. I am getting lost in the cut for sure. The non confidence and being afraid is not helping. 😢 I am getting better and really have only been cutting now for 3. months. School was the biggest joke and a waste of time and money Not an experience I will cherish. I do work with a great team of barbers and they are very helpful. I just wish at some point this will start clicking in my head so that I can find my own nitch. Thank you to all the Barbers out there everyone has been helpful and kind 😊
Don’t worry too much just give yourself a set amount of time and do the best you can in that time. Then focus on doing better each cut and you’ll get where you want to be!
All your saying literally everyone goes through, trust me. I started in a salon in August. My mens cuts take anywhere from 15 to 25mins. Only time i take longer is if its a bald fade, burst fade or anything that requires a smooth blend. Get BabyLiss Pros. They have 4 notches on the side rather than just opened and closed which makes it so much easier to blend that line out. Clipper over comb just takes practice, u will get it. My anxiety was so bad when i first got on the floor i thought i was having a damn heartattack and started taking Prozac lmao true story. Good luck on your boards. I got a 73 the 1st time and u needed a 75%, literally a difference of a question. But i just retook it tuesday and i passes. The test should be hands on, its stupid now
Another banger. Thank you for the gems and the knowledge drops. Hope you realize what a resource to not only me as a barber student, but the barber community as a whole : )
Thank you for the video! This helps out so much I have trouble transitioning from the 2 to the top... now I have a trick to over come that... thank you for dropping gems in this video! Preciate it! Keep these kinds of videos coming!
This video helped me so much. Thank you! This style is how I’ve been cutting my husband & boys hair for 7+ years, but I still have not perfected it to the point where I’m satisfied though 😕🤦🏼♀️. I have no experience other than them, but practice makes perfect!
Dude you give away so many good tips it’s also easy enough for a beginner to grasp and get it done a lot faster! It’s pretty obvious you love what you do!
@Seancutshair I wish you had lessons this clear and to the point with every little detail said in a way I understood; I can't stand watching a tutorial for beginners on a topic I've just started learning and so often I'll be googling words no one knows if you're new.
Ive cut my own hair since i was 15 years old. Im now 40, and have a 17 year old son. Have never paid for a haircut for him since he was born. Your videos help show me new ways to fade and to be more comfortable with scissors. I have just moved into using them in the last couple years.
Amen 🙏 Thank you so much brother. I use to have a hard time blending the skin line, now that got easier. That exact part of the hair line you pointed out gave me a hard time for some people. Thanks for saving me time brother 😅 One Love 👊🏽🤙🏽😎
Wow man you took the sport clips cut to a whole new level and finish! Love how you low taper faded the bottoms! That’s something a lot of people prolly don’t think about doing! Of course you blended in so nicely without bald fading….shows how diverse you are in your skill! And how you used the scissors to blend in…wow. Man, you take these cuts to a whole other level!
This was such a great tip! Did a couple haircuts just like this today and using your tip I was really able to cut down my time by a lot. It got to a point where I started wondering "well that was fast, did I skip a step or something?" to myself. That left side is still a huge pain in the ass though. Wish I was ambidextrous.
I really learn watching your videos, I dream studying barbering in The United States but It is not possible at least for now, thanks for share what you have learned.
Love this video , this is how I do my Haircuts. So Glad you gave me clarification , I thought I was doing it wrong.. Because I see everyone else using clippers over comb and I usually don't have to because I blend just like your videos displayed.. Awesome thanks for sharing :)
