lol... 175hp is still more than enough to bark the tires on dry pavement, and go over 100mph easy. Handles just fine, feels a lot better than its competition the Ford Escape. Zero issues with the turbo so far, and the 3 other folks that I actually talk to are having zero turbo issues as well. One is beyond 180,000 miles. Just another video trying to squash sales of a good vehicle.
LOL, this video is total crap. I owned a 2019 LS Equinox and just traded it in for a 2024 RS Equinox. Never experienced any issues. The new 2024 RS is a black on black and it looks sleek and very nice inside. Also drives a lot smoother than the overpriced Rav 4 and the Honda CRV.
Just like every product you buy there will be issues over time. Had my equinox since 2015 and recently drove with the family from the west coast to the east coast with a fully loaded car. No issues at all. Just keep up with the maintenance.
@@jdubdoubleu he wasn’t saying he had used a lot of tires, just said that that was the biggest expense he had had. In other words, he loves his car because it doesn’t give him any trouble.
This video is nonsense. Most comments on here are owners who've had no issues with their car. I bought a brand new 2024 Equinox Premier with 4 miles on the odometer. Love it!
I have a 14 that I bought brand new, now has 140,000 miles. Only problem is it consumes a quart of oil a week during the winter. But they don’t use that engine on the new models.
I bought a 2022 Chevrolet Equinox and I'm very satisfied with it. Since I always drive my two daughters around, there's no need to go over 80 miles per hour, so the engine power is more than sufficient. I hope this car becomes a legacy model for Chevrolet and continues to be sold.
Have had mine for 6 months now. It’s been a solid car so far. Haven’t seen any of this. The only thing that was janky was the radio wasn’t working maybe something with the electrical but it was late so I thought I’d deal with it in the morning. Morning came, started the car and everything was working great again🤷🏻♀️ haven’t had the problem since.
I had a 2015. I loved my car. Never had any problems. I never had trouble with the engine the power at all. Then my car met a buck one day and that ended is life. I had 139,600 on it and it was still cruising wonderfully!!
I have had four Chevy Equinox. Recently bought a 2024 RS. We obviously like them and have had no problems over the years other than adding front brake pads after 100,000 Kms
Well I drive in highways not a race track the engine power is sufficient for all highway use including entering freeways had a 2021 that averaged 33.9 mpg for 41,000 miles trouble free to vehicle
And they definitely have those out there. Except I'm not sure why people want a 🏎 with their family as passengers 😂 but they're out there. In other countries they are beginning to require a buyer have a certain license (ex. A U-licence like in Australia) if they buy extremely "High Performance" cars.
Have a 23, absolutely no problem with power. Picks up and goes. Also tow with no issue. The ONLY ISSUE is terrible gas mileage. Best I get is 22. Breaking is excellent. Not a car to go cross country though. Comfort wise. So I’m confused with this video. Have 42000 with no problems.
My wife loves her 2024 Equinox LT. Rides good, enough power for everyday driving. As far as the turbo, change the engine oil every 3 to 4,000 miles. If new, change the oil the first 500 miles.
I have had I think SIX Equinoxes, and will buy a 2024 soon. I did have to replace the transmission in one of them at 80,000 miles or so. Other than that, really zero problems at all. It is not a sports car, but works for me!!! We are Equinox people.
I have a '23 other than a slightly dated look the Equinox is a solid car. I'm looking forward to the new '25 models I will think about trading mine in 2-3 years from now most likely.
My 2015 was fine until 101K, then the starter went bad, at 108K the fuel pump leaked into the engine block causing engine run on after the vehicle was shut off...$1500 in repairs. Good luck
I got my first check engine light at 25K on my brand new 2023 equinox due to reduced engine power caused by a faulty fuel pump. Also bad brake master cylinder. The problems started at 7,000 miles, but I kept driving. Also, when I slow down while accelerating, I hear a terrible pump noise coming from the rear. We met with the first service in the ninth month, and the problems still continue. And I had to go to the service again for the third time due to strange sounds coming from the engine and a dirty, burning smell. It was said that the transmission was defective and needed to be replaced. The engine is noisy, and the cabin is noisy due to road noise and the poor sound insulation of the doors. Car play freezes frequently and turns into a blank screen. In such a case, you have to stop the car every time, open and close the driver's door, start the car again, and continue on your way. This is a very common situation. In general, the performance of the car is very bad. There are many problems with this vehicle model, and GM is aware of them. I can truly say that it is the worst-performing car I have ever owned. I don't think I will be able to use this Equinox for a very long time. It's a really sad and regrettable situation. I chose this vehicle because it was sold cheaper than its competitors and because of the promotion given by the dealer. So, I learned that when buying a car, you should buy an expensive and high-quality one, not a cheap one. I will never buy an American car again. I have bought Chrysler and Ford before, and I was not happy at all. Chevy will be the domestic car I buy for the third and last time
I have no choice but to use the car like this. I went to the authorized service 3 times but the problem was not solved in any way. I just lost time every time I went. GM authorized services do not work well. You have to wait for months. In my opinion, not only GM but all domestic brand vehicles are not durable. I will never buy a USA brand vehicle again.
I wouldn't go running to the foreign dealerships considering many Americans got suckered into that wonderful dream that they last longer, are much better on gas, last longer, and are solid built. When in reality, they got stuck with vehicles that were built with CVT transmission issues that affected so many models of cars the foreign motor companies gave up on the recalls so owners just got stuck with pieces of crap cars that eventually don't run & are completely unfixable and are worthless to to them & for trade ins. I have had a foreign car or two. No. I wasn't an owner of one of those with the CVT transmission issues, so no I'm not a disgruntled buyer, but I do feel for any buyer who bought the dream & got a nightmare instead. Sounds strange after all that to then say might I suggest a Dodge Jouney. We drive them at my job all over the state. They run easily over 200,000miles and several of our drivers sad to say have walked away from accidents they probably shouldn't have made it out of. We change the oil every 3-5,000miles and have an excellent mechanic. Our company owns well over 100. 1 I know for a fact is over 473,000miles. We had a Ford Escape that I drove that had close to 500,000miles and we were rooting for whoever got to drive it to 500,000miles. 😂 It just missed the mark. 😢 I think it's more about research to be honest. I support 🇺🇲 but I won't say I would stay away from a certain name just because of the country it's made in so I wanted to clarify my comment a little better.
This is pure bull.I have one since November. No problems. The turbo engine had been great and gives me plenty of power when I need it. Im a big guy over 6 f.plenty of room Not one of the issues brought up has happened. You must have payed off by one of the other car companies.

GM cars are specifically designed to the US consumers. They know that people only keep their cars about 6yrs on average, so there's no point in putting a bullet proof engines in their products. Unlike Toyota and Hondas, they build it to last at least 2 generation of your family.
Bullshit my ‘24 blacked out RS is the shit and my ‘16 LT has had not a single issue.
